"This next song that we're gonna do is one that is about how maybe in our lives, if we've ever been let down, or things haven't turned out the way that we wanted them to in relationships, how oftentimes we then kind of have this sort of phantom fear of like, tragedy. Like, phantom tragedy, where you're like… if you ever find something really great, um, or a situation that is solid, or a situation where your trust isn't being broken, sometimes you have to deal with your demons from all those times that it didn't work, and you have to kind of stop yourself from thinking that the worst is always going to happen. And this is a song that kind of touches on, you know, anxiety and just how to break patterns and cycles that aren't healthy, because we learn a lot in life, and some of the lessons are good, and some of the habits are good, and some of the habits are bad, so um, it's a song basically about having to unlearn some bad lessons that you… that you learned in the past."

“who could ever leave me darling, but who could stay” 💘🏹
another older illustration :D!! the archer is one of my FAVORITE songs, i could literally talk about it for hours. can anyone teach me how to reply to kind reblogs on my art posts? i really appreciate them all so much 🫶 i just don’t know how to reply </3
I’m sure we’ve already figured this out as a fandom, but her saying this and being able to see through the holes in the fence and the archer having the lyrics: ‘they see right through me’ ‘can you see right through me’ and ‘I see right through me’ ??? How did I never fucking realize this??? She was actually giving us an Easter egg
when taylor swift said "and the only way back to my dignity was to turn into a shrouded mystery" and when she said "but if he's a ghost then i can be a phantom" and when she said "nobody physically saw me for a year" and when she said "i wake in the night, i pace like a ghost" and when she said "you know i didn't want to have to haunt you but what a ghostly scene" and when she said "help i'm still at the restaurant, still sitting in a corner i haunt" and when she said "when she stood, she stood with a desolate knowingness" and when she said "i knew you'd haunt all of my 'what-ifs'" and when she said "i guess sometimes we all get some kind of haunted"
The man– Charles, Max assumes– sounds French. He loves that. He should be used to a French accent, he was forced to converse with Pierre often enough, but it sounds different coming from Charles. More melodic. Almost similar to someone he used to know once.
“And that made me think,” Charles says, voice bellowing from Max’s speakers. “That it was stupid that we didn't have carrots before. Like, come on, it's a farming game.”
Max has no fucking idea what the hell he is on about.
or: Max is lonely and finds Charles streaming on Twitch.
