Pillow Talk
In which Son Heungmin can’t seem to let his girlfriend wiggle her way out of his arms
pairing: sonny x gf!reader
warning: tooth ache kind of fluff with mentions of smut
Tumblr media
She loved her boyfriend—she really did. He had her whole heart in the palm of his hands and she trusted him with it; trusted him not to squeeze too hard on it—not to shatter it into fragments of love.
And she was certain that the feeling was mutual—he'd told her so himself, proclaimed it with eyes that were practically shaped into hearts as he gazed at her with a heart achingly deep sense of adoration; one that never failed to make her feel so unbelievably loved.
However... she’d be lying if she said he couldn't get a little frustrating sometimes. Like now, for instance.
“Heungmin, move.”
“No.” His response was instantaneous and very much final.
“I need to get up.”
“That sounds like a personal problem.”
His sass had one of her brows arch up, and she was sure she would've crossed her arms too had he not restricted her movement with his own—much stronger, might she add—limb. The man knew that her work schedule had been cleared for the entirety of December, and was determined to take this rare opportunity by the reigns.
Her lips parted—very much ready to have a go at him for the unwarranted attitude—when, instead of actual words, a light gasp left them; practically inaudible from how soft it was, but that didn't make what happened any less surprising.
His lips had found their way onto her neck, pressing soft, gentle kisses across the exposed area with an occasional—and very intoxicating—nip here and there. His arm, banded securely around her hip, pulled her closer to his side. The heat of it all practically flooded her vision with pink and she almost melted right in that very moment.
"Just a little longer," he muttered into her skin, lips making contact with the already hickey littered surface in a repeated pattern that shot tingles straight down her spine, "a month away from you was torture."
Work had forced her to return to Seoul for a good portion of November. She had, of course, missed Heungmin a great deal, but hadn’t been aware of how much he’d missed her until she had stepped past his threshold tonight only to be swept off her feet.
She genuinely couldn’t remember if he’d even managed to close the front door.
His hand slipped under her thin cotton t-shirt; cool palm resting against the flat of her stomach as he whispered sweet nothings into her ears in hopes of saving himself from a lecture–and she was afraid that it was very much working.
She was an absolute sucker for sweet moments like this.
But she was also recovering from a strenuous night, barely having gotten any sleep between multiple rounds of heaven sent pleasure. The man had been positively insatiable upon her return, and though this delighted her to no end, she was slick with sweat, peppered with hickeys, her legs felt like jelly and she wanted nothing more than a warm shower. The saccharine scent of sex was strong, and the air around them was stiflingly thick, despite the air conditioning being on full blast.
“Heungmin.”
“Hm?” His head tilted up, gaze focused on her with a sense of endearment only she was privy to receiving from him; the twitch of his lips showcasing his lovestruck smile in a show of vulnerability that, once again, only she had the pleasure of seeing on him.
His gaze was softened and practically swirling with that domestic love she knew he held for her; the one that would instantly ease all his muscles and have him actively seek her out just to hold her in his arms, to love on her like he always claimed she deserved.
When she didn't respond immediately, his grip tightened and he pulled her further into his side; to fit against him like she was meant to be there, like he was incomplete without her—and her, without him.
Ah, she was so stupidly weak to him when he got like this. Her hand reached up to brush cool fingers soothingly on the apple of his cheek.
“Aren’t you tired?” A valid question, seeing as though the man had only a few hours of rest between his match and her return.
“With you in my arms? Never.” His voice was soothingly calm, but when he propped an elbow on the pillow to look down at her, his eyes were blazing, pinning her to the spot. It raked over her appearance - the mussed hair, the love bites adorning the delicate curve of her neck, the rise and fall of her chest, the adorable flush of pink on her cheeks. The corner of his lips stretched to a wide grin.
When her hand dropped from his face, he was quick to catch it and press a kiss to her palm. He held it close to his heart. “Why?” He asked, knowing damn well the answer. “Are you tired?”
“…maybe.”
“Oh no! Rough night?”
She had to fight the urge to kiss the damn smirk off his face. He looked so damn pleased with himself.
“…okay fine, we can stay here a little longer.”
And then he was kissing her, his hands moving quickly to hook her legs around his waist and move her underneath himself. And suddenly, her arms and legs didn’t feel like jelly anymore. Instead, she’d felt as electrified—as if struck by lightning…only better. Much, much better. Because she couldn’t wrap her arms around lightning, or feel lightning’s heart skip against her own.
“Not for too long, we’ve been in bed for hours,” she protested weakly into the increasingly heated kiss. “I’m melting.”
“Mmm.”
“We have to eat.”
He pulled away to grin at her, a mischievous twinkle alight in his eyes. “Great idea,” he said. “Let’s do just that.”
Just when she was about to open her mouth to steer him clear of the inevitable course of action, he’d lunged straight for her neck to attack her with another fit of adoring kisses—ones that made her sigh in what she could only describe as contentment.
And then her t-shirt was back on the floor.
They didn’t leave the room till sundown.

Take Care
Son Heungmin
Sonny is recovering from an injury and he’s going away for the world cup. [Requested]
Tumblr media
Warm food was ready on the table. She had bought those bath bombs that he liked, refilled his favourite soap, and replaced the empty bottle of face toner. She had changed the bed sheet and covers. The aromatherapy candle in the bedroom was ready to be lit. She had set the house to perfection and got everything ready so Sonny would have the best comfort.
She had felt the horror just over a week ago when she received the news about Sonny being injured. Things had been a blur since. Some examinations, a surgery, recovery sessions, and endless discussions about the world cup. Even though a fractured eye socket wasn’t a huge injury, it didn’t make it less overwhelming especially when Sonny’s participation at the biggest tournament is at stake.
But thankfully everything was going the right way. Sonny was all better now and was confirmed to be a part of the world cup squad. He’d started to do his own sessions of training and today he’d gone to the stadium to watch the match; she’d chosen to use the time to clean the house and do things she hadn’t had the time to do.
The night was getting deeper, but she patiently waited for Sonny to come home. She rushed to the door when she heard Sonny’s car pull up. Even though she knew he was okay—she saw those photos of him and Rodrigo after the match, both men had wide smiles plastered on their faces—she couldn’t help but to worry. She had actually asked him to stay home but he insisted on going, saying he needed to watch the last match and see his mates before going away for the world cup.
“Hi. You okay?” She asked, welcoming Sonny with a hug.
“I’m okay. Like I promised, I came home safely. All good. Nothing to worry about.”
“I simply can’t not worry about you.” She hugged him a little bit tighter. After the injury she had been feeling awful every time she had to let Sonny get out of the house. She honestly would prefer to have him stay home so he could always be under her watch.
Sonny led himself to the kitchen as she asked him about how the match had gone, she trailed behind him. He animatedly bragged about how Rodrigo had scored two goals, how the boys had put on a fight. Sonny looked genuinely happy and that gave her a little bit of relief, mostly because he’d been a little bit down lately because of the injury.
“The mood was good. It was nice to get a win before the break. Everyone was happy and— Wait a minute.” Sonny only wanted to get some water at first, but the sight of the dining table caught his eye, so he stopped. “You cooked? Oh, no. I already had dinner, babe.” He turned to her with an apologetic look.
“I know. It’s fine. I just cooked a bit just in case you were hungry,” she shrugged. “Do you want to just take a bath? I’ll run the water.”
Sonny immediately took a seat and picked up a fork. It was already too late for dinner and he really shouldn’t be taking any more carbs today. Though he knew she wouldn’t even get upset if he didn’t eat it, the food she had cooked was still warm and looked very appetising. He couldn’t resist, especially when he knew it was going to be good.
“Baby, this is so good,” he commented as he munch on the food. His eyes sparkled like it always did every time he ate her food, which gave her that warm and fulfilling feeling. He gave her a smile, which was infectious, she smiled too. “I need to have some bites. Please don’t tell my nutritionist.”
She giggled as she ran her hand through his hair. “I won’t. How about the bath? You feel like taking a warm bath before bed?”
A cheeky grin appeared on Sonny’s face, and he nodded.
“I feel like it’s my birthday. You’re kind of spoiling me tonight,” Sonny said as he got in the bathtub. The water was turquoise and smelled nice from the bathbomb; his favourite one, he always said that it made him calm and relaxed. “This is really comfortable, innit?”
“You tell me,” she said, pulling up a stool so she could sit near him beside the bathtub. “I think you’re really gonna have a good night's sleep tonight. Watched a fun match, ate good food, end the day with a warm bath…”
“I know. Today was a good day. Almost feels like my birthday because I feel like you’re spoiling me.” Sonny reached for her hand and gave it a light squeeze. “Thank you.”
She shrugged. “It’s not much.”
“No. Thank you for everything. You’ve been taking a really good care of me. I really don’t know what I’d do without you,” Sonny said, staring into her eyes. She knew he meant every word, she could feel how genuine he was being.
She let out a little sigh as her other hand went to his face. She graced her fingers on his cheek very carefully, still scared to hurt him even though he said that he no longer felt any pain. Sonny seemed to melt into her gentle touch, closing his eyes and slightly leaning his head, wanting more of it. She, on the other hand, felt her heart clenched when she stared at his healing scar.
“I’d do anything to help my baby recover and stay fit. He needs to captain his country at the world cup, remember?” She gave him a reassuring smile. Sonny drew her hand closer to his lips and placed a kiss on it.
“Promise me you’ll take care of yourself,” she muttered. The worry was creeping back and it showed in her voice. It was quite a tiring day for her and it was time to get some rest, but she just couldn’t stop thinking. “Listen to your coaches, get enough rest, have fun.”
They were in bed, lying face to face as their hands linked. Both were wearing matching pyjamas, covered by a warm blanket. Sonny was already drifting to sleep and honestly she could easily fall asleep too now, but she still wanted to use the opportunity to just stare at his beautiful face.
Sonny was going to leave in three days for the world cup, they’d be away from each other for a moment. She’d go with his family once the tournament started but they would only have very limited time to see him, so she was determined that she’d make the best out of the next three days with him.
“Are you still listening?”
“Hmmm,” Sonny responded.
“Promise me you won’t get injured again…”
“Can’t promise that. But I’ll try,” he vaguely mumbled.
“Promise me you’ll win the games.”
“I’ll try…”
Her lips perked into a small smile when Sonny opened his sleepy eyes and blinked them slowly a couple of times before meeting hers. “I need you to promise me something too,” he said. He sounded rather serious. “Take care of yourself. You’ve been stressing out so much, so once I depart for the world cup, I want you to take a break, have time for yourself.”
She simply nodded.
“Go have lunch with your best friends, bake some cookies, go shopping, do whatever you want. Okay? Stop worrying me for a second. I’ll be fine. Okay?”
She giggled and shuffled closer to put a kiss on his cheek. “Okay, I promise,” she said, kissing his cheek once again.
“Come here, now.”
Sonny opened his arms and she fell right into his embrace. He hugged her tight and caressed her back, kissing her on her forehead. She put her palm against her chest, feeling it heaving up and down, feeling his heartbeat. The conversation eventually ended and it didn’t take long until they both fell asleep. She fell asleep with a smile on her face, knowing that this had been a good day, for the first time in what felt like forever. She didn’t mind that it had been rough lately, but all that matters was that Sonny was happy again and getting his spirit back. And maybe she had to give herself a little credit for that.

Taken For Granted - Pt. 1
Tumblr media
“Babe, where’s my nike socks?” Son shouted from the second floor asking his wife, Jieun, who’s preparing breakfast downstairs in the kitchen.
“They must be in the socks drawer. I never put it anywhere else,” Jieun said while cutting the fruits for Son’s morning smoothie. Son is a creature of habit - his daily breakfast consists of white rice, hot soup, 3 types of Korean side dishes, brown rice tea and a smoothie containing apple, kale, banana, and a small block of tofu for protein. He also demanded his soup to be freshly cooked every morning. That means no leftover from dinner the day before.
“If they are in the socks drawer, I wouldn’t have to ask you, would I?” Son said sarcastically.
Jieun quickly rinsed her hands and wiped them on her apron before running upstairs to help her husband find his socks. In their bedroom, Son was standing with hands on his hips in front of the drawers. His face visibly annoyed. Jieun quickly dug into the drawer and within 1 minute, she found the socks buried at the back of the drawer.
“Here you go,” she said while she gave the socks to her husband. Son snatched the socks from her hands rather roughly. “Next time put it where I can easily find them. You have wasted my time,” he spat before making his way downstairs to the dining room to have his breakfast.
Son didn’t use to be like this. As everyone know, Son is one of the most likeable soccer player in the world. People say no matter which team you are rooting for, you won’t be able to resist Son’s charm. He used to treat Jieun like a queen too, up until their 2nd year of marriage. Son, being the family man that he is, wanted them to have a child. However, after 2 years of trying, for some reasons Jieun just wouldn’t get pregnant. Later they found out that Jieun is diagnosed with endometriosis which caused the fertility problem. It is a treatable disease, however despite their best efforts, they are still childless 3 years into their marriage.
Jieun blamed herself all the time and in the beginning, Son will try to convince her that it is not her fault and that he’s fine with their current situation. However, as time went by he grew more and more frustrated, especially after seeing many of his teammates brought their children and spouses to the games. Son’s reassuring words were soon replaced by his spiteful remarks.
After composing herself, Jieun made her way downstairs to finish up the smoothie. Son has already started his breakfast while browsing his phone. He didn’t even ask her to join him for breakfast so she just quietly continued to finish making the smoothie and serving it to her husband.
“I’ll be home late today. Or I might stay over at Dele’s. Don’t wait up for me,” Son said, not looking up from his phone.
“OK,” Jieun answered dejectedly while washing the dishes. Today is her birthday and she couldn’t help but to reminisce about the past when Son would take her for an evening picnic or a fine dining restaurant to celebrate her birthday. Now, he wouldn’t even wish her a happy birthday. She hoped it was because he forgot about it and not because he was deliberately trying to ignore the occasion.
After Son was done with breakfast, he quickly put on his gear and went out the door for practice. Once she heard Son’s car driving out the garage, Jieun rinsed her soapy hands, turned off the faucet, sat on the floor, and cried her heart out. She knew she deserved this - she deserved all of the hurtful remarks her supposed husband threw at her. She has failed as a wife, as a woman. She couldn’t fulfill her one true duty which is to bring life into this world. Although it is painful, sometimes she hoped Son would just divorce her so that he can move on and find someone else who can give him a child. In fact, everyday she’s just waiting for him to serve her with the papers.
Suddenly, Jieun heard her phone rang from the living room. She wiped her tears and made her way to the living room to pick it up. It was a video call from her sister - probably going to wish her a happy birthday. She hung up and called her back using voice call. Jieun didn’t want her sister to worry which she will if she saw her crying face.
“Hey, why did you hang up?” her sister asked from across the line.
“Oh, there’s some issues with my camera so I won’t be able to do video calls for a while,” Jieun lied.
“Are you serious? Your husband is one of the most famous soccer player in the world and yet he couldn’t buy his wife a new phone?” her sister scoffed. She knew by accident that Son has been treating Jieun badly. She came over to surprise Jieun for her birthday last year and she heard Son scolding the shit out her at 8 AM in the morning. His reason? His soup was too salty. If Jieun didn’t hold her back, she would’ve beat Son’t pretty face up.
“Haha yeah no I asked him not to because this phone is still working well. It’s just the camera,” Jieun lied again.
There was a moment of silence before her sister said, “Is it because you just cried and you didn’t want me to see your crying face?”
She knew Jieun too well. For a moment Jieun was so tempted to confide in her but she knew that it will only bring more problems for her. “No. Can we please let it go?” Jieun pleaded.
Her sister sighed, “Alright, whatever. I just called to wish you happy birthday, you old woman!”
Jieun smiled. She couldn’t ask for a better sister. If Jieun didn’t have her sister’s support, she probably would’ve unalived herself at one point. After all, there’s only so much a woman can take.
“Thank you so much, Ji-an. Don’t know what I would do without you,” Jieun said, sincerely.
“Did mom call?” Ji-an asked.
“No,” Jieun answered dejectedly. Like Son, Jieun used to have a good relationship with her mom. Jieun used to be her prized daughter especially after she married South Korea’s living nation treasure, Son Heungmin. But, after her mom heard about her fertility problem, she felt embarrassed and repeatedly apologised to Son and his family as if the illness is within her daughter’s control. She started treating Jieun badly too and even asked Son to divorce Jieun in front of her face once. Just like with her husband, Jieun swallowed all of the abuse because she thought she deserved it.
“But, that’s OK though. I have you!” Jieun quickly continued, not wanting to worry her sister with her problems.
“Seriously, though. I don’t understand what is her problem. It’s not like you are the one who consciously chose not to conceive. The illness is not your fault,” Ji-an said.
“Hey, hey, don’t be upset please. I don’t even care anymore, so you shouldn’t too, OK?” Jieun assured her sister. It’s true - she didn’t care anymore about all of the abuse that she’s geeting from both her husband and her own mother. But not caring doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt.
They spoke on the phone for a while, catching up on each other’s lives before she let Ji-an go. Jieun felt a little bit better after conversing with her little sister and so she went back to the kitchen to finish cleaning up.
—---------------------------------------
In the locker room, the boys have just finished their training for the day. Son was sitting shirtless, browsing his phone, trying to cool off his body before he’s going to shower.
“OK, guys! I’m gonna go now,” Lucas Moura announced to the room while quickly packing up his belongings.
“Why the hurry?” Son asked.
“It’s my wife’s birthday today. We’re going to have a nice dinner and then you know,” Lucas winked and the room erupted in laughter and a few gagging sounds. “You guys are just jealous,” Lucas laughed.
“Hey, Sonny, aren’t you going to go too? I remember your wife’s birthday is on the same day as Lucas’ wife’s, isn’t it?” Hugo Lloris asked.
Son was caught offguard. He completely forgot. But, honestly even if he remembered, he wouldn’t do anything about it. As much as he hates to admit it, he has lost his feelings towards his wife as his frustration grew due to their circumstance. He knew it wasn’t her fault - it’s not like she had the choice to have the illness. It’s just that he felt like she’s not trying hard enough to be better. He has paid so much money for her treatments. Fed her the best foods that the doctors said can support her condition. But all of that are wasted efforts. They still couldn’t have a child to this day.
“Nah, she’s going to celebrate with her family,” Son lied. He stood up and made his way to the shower room so that he wouldn’t have to answer any more questions about his wife.
—-----------------------
At home, Jieun had just finished showering when her phone rang. It was Larissa Saad, Lucas Moura’s wife. Seeing her name, Jieun quickly remembered that Larissa’s birthday is on the same day as hers. She felt bad for not calling earlier and she quickly picked up her phone.
“Hi Larissa! Happy birthday!” Jieun said.
“Happy birthday to you too! It’s a good thing our birthdays are on the same date. Otherwise, I’m really bad with people’s birthdays and you would probably hate me for forgetting yours,” Larissa joked.
“Nonsense! I can never hate you,” Jieun laughed.
“Anyway, I’m sure Son has something up his sleeve to celebrate your birthday, am I right?” Larissa teased.
Jieun was stunned. Again, in the spur of the moment, she was so tempted to tell Larissa the truth - that her husband forgot, or chose to forget, about her birthday. That she has been treated badly by her so-called husband and that she’ll be spending her birthday evening watching Christmas movies on Netflix in her living room. But, of course she knew better.
“Well actually…” Jieun paused for a bit. “Son has an event he has to attend to tonight, so I’ll be spending my birthday alone at home.”
“What?! Oh my days… I’m going to spank Son when I meet him next time.” Larissa said, making Jieun laugh.
“You know what, no best friend of mine is going to spend her birthday alone, miserable at home…”
“Who said I’ll be miserable?” Jieun defended herself, even though she knew that it was indeed going to be quite a miserable and lonely night.
“You can be in denial all you want, OK. But Lucas and I are taking you out. Let’s celebrate our birthday together!” Larissa said excitedly.
“Oh… No, please, don’t worry about it. I wouldn’t want to ruin your special night with Lucas. I’m sure he has a lot of special things that he has prepared especially for you,” Jieun said pleadingly.
“Look, Lucas can have me after midnight, but it’s my birthday. So I decide who I want to spend it with and it’s with both you and Lucas.”
“But…”
“Oh, come on…” Larissa continued to persuade Jieun to join her and Lucas for dinner. It took a lot of convincing from Larissa’s side, but fortunately in the end Jieun finally agreed. Larissa texted her the hotel’s name where they’ll be having dinner and Jieun quickly went to the bedroom to get ready. As much as she hates intruding Lucas and Larissa’s special night, she must admit, it does feel good to have someone throw a special event to celebrate her birthday.
—-------------
“I’m really sorry again for intruding your special night with Larissa. I’m sure you would have wanted to have the dinner with only the two of you,” Jieun apologised for the numerous times to Lucas after they are seated at their table in the fancy restaurant.
“Stop it, Jieun. If you keep apologizing like this, Larissa is going to beat the hell out of me once we go home later,” Lucas teased, earning him a few light slaps on the arm from Larissa. “Besides, Larissa said you were going to spend your birthday alone at home. I wouldn’t wish that upon my worst enemy,” Lucas jokingly shivered at the thought.
Jieun laughed at Lucas’ antics.
“But jokes aside, I thought Son said you were going to celebrate your birthday with your parents?” Lucas asked.
Jieun was taken back. ‘So he did remember…’ Jieun thought to herself. But, of course he would pull off such lie just to avoid spending time with her.
“Oh… right, yeah I was, but turned out my mom didn’t feel so well and my sister has to do an overtime at work so we cancelled the plan,” Jieun lied. She was amazed at herself by how easy these lies keep rolling off her tongue the more time she spent married to Son.
Larissa and Lucas nodded and proceeded to change the topic.
Dinner went well and they’re up to dessert now. Jieun excused herself to go the bathroom which is located right across the hotel’s lobby. She was passing by the lobby when she saw a familiar back view. It’s the back of a man that she saw every night before she goes to sleep because he now sleeps facing away from her even though he used to hold her in his arms, saying that her scent calms him down. It cannot be, she thought to herself. Because the man in the lobby was holding another woman’s arm. The woman is gorgeous - long legs, slender arms - she looked as if she just stepped out of a Victoria’s Secret catalogue book. But the man, despite wearing a black hoodie with a cap on, is unmistakably Son Heungmin. Her husband. The man who’s supposed to only be holding her arm and nobody else’s.
Jieun stood frozen, unable to process her emotion. Until she felt a tap on her shoulder.
“Hey, I thought you wanted to go to the loo?” Larissa asked. She followed Jieun’s eyesight towards the direction of the man and the woman who are now standing at the receptionist desk, looking to check in. “What the actual fuck.” Larissa excalimed.
“It’s him, isn’t it. I’m no imagining things right, Larissa?” Jieun’s voice getting weaker and weaker by the words. Larissa, fuming, went back to the restaurant and dragged Lucas out and pointed him towards Son’s direction.
“Is that… Son?” Lucas asked in dibelieve.

Hypertension
Prompt: How can I not worry over the person I love the most?
In which Heung-min doesn’t know how not to hover after a visit to the doctor
pairing: sonny x wife!reader
warning: lots of silly grammatical errors that I just cannot find the energy to fix 🫶🏽
Tumblr media
She found it near impossible not to love her husband when he was like this, fretting and almost pulling his hair out in worry - a little handsy, but only because he loved her far too much to let her go, to let her walk even five feet away from him.
It was impossible not to love him when he was all wide eyed and beaming bright enough to give the sun a challenge, warm and delightfully flushed (but again, because he loved her far too much to feel calm again).
In the hallway leading to their bedroom, Heung-min was practically skipping. He was also loud, more so than usual, his voice ricocheting off the walls and bouncing off the high ceiling. He was elated, practically demanding that their neighbours in the complex hear it as well, but this level of happiness at such a close proximity was borderline overwhelming.
Not overwhelming in a bad way, but a tidal wave of his affection, so she tried to move his hands from her waist as lightly as possible.
“Heung-min, you know that I can still walk, right?” she asked gently, trying so hard not to let a giggle break through her lips.
His hold on her waist remained firm as he walked behind to guide her in slow and purposeful steps. He hummed cheerfully and nodded in agreement. “I know.”
“Uh-huh, do you really?” she snorted, looking pointedly down at where the tips of his feet came into view between her own.
Playfully smacking his hands away to let them hover her hips instead, he couldn’t help but laugh as the ridiculousness of the situation slowly filtered into his head. “I know you can walk by yourself, but —”
“I’m pregnant, not terminally ill,” she reminded him with an arched brow.
Behind her, long limbs turned her own careful steps into a messy affair with him hot on her heels. The heat from his chest felt like she was pressed against a furnace, something that she never took for granted in the miserly weather of London. His palms, smooth and warm, slipped under the waistband of her pants to rub soothing circles into the flesh of her waist.
He was towering over her like a mother hen, encasing her in a protective shield to remind her that though she was more than capable on her own two feet, he was there to catch her at even the smallest hint of losing balance.
“Again, just pregnant, not terminally ill.”
Still, though Heung-min kept pace and somehow managed to inch even closer, as though he was trying to merge their bodies into one. “You know in some countries, they’re pretty much considered the same thing.”
She really had to stamp down the urge to roll her eyes. “Babe, we just saw the best doctor in London. I’m fine!”
Like words thrown at a brick wall.
Heung-min shrugged. “Hypertension.”
Having finally arrived at their bedroom, she plopped down on the bed and released a heavy sigh. Her husband knelt down in front of her, taking her hands into his own to press loving kisses into her palms.
For a moment, she remained quiet, having her fill of the closeness of his features. Her gaze walked over his skin, igniting a fire in the base of his spine, and she took her time. Then she leaned forward with a secret smile to press a quick kiss to the sunburn on the bridge of his nose. “What are you thinking about?” she asked.
He wiggled his brows.
“Pre-eclampsia.”
She had to cackle then, playfully shoving him away. “You’re so romantic.”
“It’s real!” He insisted, finally moving away to toss his wallet and keys onto his bedside table. “My love, it actually happens.”
Sensing that he was quickly losing his joviality, she gave him a gentle smile and walked over. “I know, but we have so much more time down the line to worry about that. I’m just six weeks in.”
Leaning up on her toes, her lips barely brushed his with the barest of touches, her hand running through his hair with purpose before pulling away altogether. “You don’t have to worry.”
Heung-min shoved his hands in his pockets as he leaned a shoulder on the doorway, admiring his wife and her body as though he could see beyond her clothes, beyond her skin. Every fibre of his being was utterly devoted to all of her, she could feel the tidal wave of devotion that flowed from his heart directly into her own, turning his arms into a safe haven for all her wayward worries and dreams.
“I know,” he said with a tilt of his head. “How can I not worry over the person I love the most?”
He reached out to take her hand and pull her up against him. His hands settled comfortably on either side of her waist and he took a moment to relish the feeling of the soft cotton of her shirt against his palms. They stayed like that for a few minutes before she was waddling out of the room with him pressed against her back like velcro, leading him into the empty room that had previously been saved as an office space.
It had a new, more wholesome purpose now.
Heung-min looked up at the ceiling and then his eyes moved down the walls and the doors before they finally landed on the floors, taking in the sleek oak. He bounced lightly on the balls of his feet. "Yeah, this is going to be a lot of work," he said. “Unless our baby is going to work in a corporate office the first day out of the hospital, we need to start planning out an actual nursery.”
“We’re going to have to decorate a nursery,” she hummed.
“…for a baby,” he mumbled into her hair thoughtfully. “Our baby.”
Oh.
It was happening.
Parenthood.
She twisted around to face him and found herself—not for the first time—overwhelmed by a heady mixture of giddy happiness and tender affection. That had been happening with a frequency as of late, but while her friends told her that she was still under the spell of being a newlywed, she suspected that it would always be the case when Heung-min was just so excited about the prospect of being a father. She reflexively tightened her grip on his hands, which drew his attention down to her. "We’re going to be parents," she told him.
He beamed down at her, lifting a hand to tuck some loose strands of her hair behind one of her ears and tipped his head to one side. "You’re going to be a mom.”
She smiled even wider and curled her fingers into the fabric of his shirt so she could hold him that much closer to her. "And you’re going to be a dad.”
He chuckled and the sound reverberated through his chest and into hers and to the very tips of her toes. She closed her eyes and tried to just soak him in as one of his hands threaded through her hair to hold the back of her head. Then the bow of his mouth pressed to her forehead.
She pressed her face into the fabric of his shirt and let out a long breath when Heung-min folded his long arms around her. She could practically hear the sound of their child somewhere off and away from the house and she couldn't help but smile to herself. Change had never much agreed with her in the past, but after changing her mind, a change of heart, and finally changing her surname she didn't think she minded it so much. She had someone to lay roots down with and hang onto through the worst of anything.
Worth it, she thought to herself. Nothing had ever been so worth it.

Don’t Marry Him
Son Heungmin
Sonny finds out that his ex-girlfriend is getting married. She’s the love of his life so he can’t let her marry someone else. [Requested]

Tumblr media
Nothing could have prepared Sonny for the thing Ben was telling him right now. It had been just a normal training day, and Sonny hadn’t had any inkling as to why Ben asked him to see him at the first team’s restaurant after training. Ben had said that he wanted to show Sonny something, but Sonny thought that maybe it was about the house Ben was planning to buy—they’d been discussing the property quite a lot since the one Ben was keen on was in the same area as Sonny’s.
But Sonny instantly felt his world crumbling down when Ben placed a piece of envelope in front of him. The soft colour with gold letters on it gave him a hint of what it might be, and Sonny felt like he was punched right on his gut when he read a familiar name on it.
“This arrived a couple days ago. I assume that you didn’t receive one, since you still looked… Fine and normal. You would’ve been exactly like this if you knew,” Ben said to Sonny, who looked like he was in a trance. “I’m sorry, Sonny, but Joey, my wife, and I thought you should know about this.”
Sonny gritted his teeth, eyes still locked into the envelope. His heart started beating so loud in his ears.
It was a beautiful invitation, Sonny had to admit. Papers in her favourite colour with gold letters, decorated with a ribbon in a darker shade, simple and sweet. It was just so her. But Sonny hated it, because it wasn’t his name beside hers on that wedding invitation.
“Look. I don’t approve of what you did to her. But I think you deserve another chance,” Ben continued as he leaned a bit more forward. Sonny still hadn’t moved an inch. “She’s a good person, Sonny. As her friend, I want the best for her. And I think that what she truly deserves is you. The best version of you.”
“But, Ben, she’s getting married.” Sonny said, stating the obvious, as if he was trying to convince himself that it was true. He leaned back on his chair, looking completely defeated. “See? She invited you and Joey, but not me. She doesn’t want anything to do with me anymore. She’s made up her mind.”
“You still have the chance to change her mind. This is your very last chance.”
Sonny had ruined her life once. As much as he didn’t want to see the love of his life marrying someone that’s not him, wouldn’t he be the biggest prick on planet Earth if he did it all over again?
“Do you still love her?”
Sonny shifted uncomfortably in his seat and he let out a little chortle, his shoulders shrugged a little. He finally looked up and met Ben’s sharp eyes. “You know the answer. But obviously, she’s moved on. I can’t– I can’t do anything about it.”
“You can. I told you, this is your very last chance,” Ben said, emphasising the words so Sonny would really listen to him. “This is what I hate about you, mate.” Ben shook his head and let out a quite exasperated sigh. “You’re such a fucking coward when it comes to her. Haven’t you learned? Why can’t you just commit to the person and the relationship you want more than anything in your life? Do I really need to say this out loud for you?”
Ben wasn’t even being harsh, he was just stating the truth. Sonny’s relationship with her did not work out because he’d been an insecure coward. He’d made her go through everything but then he pushed her away and let her go just like that when she said that she wanted something more.
After the big break up, it hadn’t taken Sonny long until he realised that he’d made the biggest mistake in his life—mainly because Ben, Joey, and Dele reprimanded him for what he’d done—but even then, he’d been too scared to give her a proper explanation and apology. Everything had gotten too late because a few months later, Sonny heard from Ben that she was dating someone else. And it seemed like things had gotten way too late again for him now.
“Sorry, I don’t… I don’t know. I need time,” Sonny said in a timid voice. Trains of thoughts were clashing in his mind, and he didn’t like the uneasiness that had started to wrap him. “I mean, we don’t even know if she still loves me.”
That was his biggest question right now. She’d moved on from him rather fast, and it had not even been a year but she’d already decided to marry someone else. She obviously had forgotten everything about their past.
Ben let out another heavy sigh. “Believe me, she still does. It’s actually quite easy to see.” Ben suddenly stood up and tugged down the hem of his sweater, Sonny’s eyes followed his movement. “Sorry, I need to go. Promised my wife I’d pick her up from work. But, hey, if you need any help, don’t hesitate to give me a call.”
Sonny slightly nodded before he dropped his gaze back to the wedding invitation.
“Sonny, I’m your best friend too. I want the best for you too, that’s why I’m doing this. I do think that you two are meant to be together.” Ben placed a hand on Sonny’s shoulder and gave it a squeeze. “But you will remain as her one fucking stupid ex-boyfriend for the rest of her life, unless you do something about it. And she’ll be a Mrs…” Ben paused, picked up the invitation from the table, and scanned it. “Miller. She’ll be Mrs. Miller in less than six weeks.”
Sonny visualised her first name and the groom’s last name in his mind, and the new name started to ring in his head. He wasn’t kidding if he said that he was getting a bit nauseous because of it.
“Go, Ben, don’t make your wife wait,” Sonny said as he looked up at his best friend and gave him a small sheepish smile. Ben patted his shoulder once more, before he said goodbye and left Sonny alone, with a completely conflicted heart and mind.
“You’re insane. Oh God, Sonny, you’re absolutely fucking crazy, are you out of your mind??”
Sonny lost count on how many times the combinations of those words—crazy, insane, out of your mind—had come out from her mouth for the past half an hour. He agreed, though, he was crazy for doing this. It made her really upset and angry, he’d never seen her like that before. Her sweet and lovely side was nowhere to be seen and honestly, Sonny didn’t blame her at all.
“You can’t just show up at my door and ask me for the impossible, Sonny. You– You never even tried to get me back, you never even tried to reach out after we broke up.”
“You were already dating him, I couldn’t suddenly come back, could I?”
“And you think that you can come back now? When there’s already a ring on my finger?” She sneered as she held up her hand and showed him the big shiny ring. “You had three months before I met him. But you never texted, you never called.”
“I’m sorry.” That was all Sonny could say. He’d given her a thousand of it today. He wanted her to know how sorry he was about everything—about the things he did and did not do.
“You’re lucky my fiancé is in Paris right now, he’d probably punch you in the face if he saw you here,” she said with a calmer tone. She was standing near the window with both hands on her hips. From the kitchen island where Sonny was leaning himself against, you could see the backyard outside and the purplish sky outside as the sun was about to set. “I actually really want to punch you in the face right now. God.”
She’d been pacing back and forth, but she’d stopped and was now looking directly at him, with eyes full of anger and hurt. Sonny gulped, but didn’t make the lump on his throat go away. He felt so guilty, and now hurt from seeing her looking hurt. Honestly, Sonny would actually let her punch and hit him as much as she wanted, if it could help her to forgive him and take him back.
“Sonny, you can’t just come in here and tell me not to get married.” Her voice was a bit shaky. A little bit of tears started to pool in her eyes, but she took a sharp deep breath to shake them off. “After breaking my heart like that and ten months of silence, you can’t just show up and expect me to take a step back again.”
“Have you? Have you really moved on? I’m sorry but… I think what we had was special. I can’t even forget about you even a little bit.”
She lightly chortled and shrugged. “I don’t think we don’t have to forget to move on,” she answered. “I mean, I’m lucky, I guess. I found someone who makes me see forward, and show me things out there, show me what I can have. Someone who makes it feel less painful when I think about things from the past.”
Once again Sonny felt his heart dropping to the pit of his stomach. He hated to get reminded that he’d been replaced. That man was her future now and he was merely a dark shadow haunting her.
“Do you love him?”
Her eyes slightly widened. Sonny couldn’t believe it himself that he’d just blurted out the question, but he needed to be brave today to get answers. She chortled again as she folded her arms in front of her chest.
“Of course, I do. I’m going to marry him, Sonny,” she said. “Josh loves me. He treats me right, we understand each other. And he wants to commit to our relationship, that’s the most important thing. He’s not perfect, but… He’s always sure of what he wants. He wants me, and he wants to always work things out between us. He doesn’t give up on me, or on us. So if you or other people are wondering why I’m suddenly marrying him, that’s why.”
Basically, that man was everything that Sonny was not. That man gave her everything Sonny didn’t. And Sonny once again was reminded that he was a complete fool.
When they were dating, Sonny had been so insecure. He was not a ‘normal’ person who lived a ‘normal’ life. His job demanded so much of him, so at some point in their two-year relationship, he felt like he had become a man who couldn’t give and provide the things she deserved.
Sonny hadn’t been having the best season back then, he’d picked up a few injuries and hadn’t been performing well on the pitch. It reflected on his life off the pitch. He felt like he hadn’t been able to give her love and security. He couldn’t protect her himself, or be there for her when she needed him in rough days, or even give her his time for a little date.
So that was why, when she suddenly blurted out the words “maybe we should just get married” in their conversation one night, Sonny panicked and let his insecurity and fears eat him up. Even before they dated, Sonny knew that she dreamed of being married and building a family, and he felt like he couldn’t give her that anytime soon. So he slowly pushed her away and shut her out, which led to the break up.
The silence in the room was deafening. The words “I love you” were at the tip of Sonny’s tongue, but he knew it wouldn’t be enough to win back her heart. Sonny was not someone who likes to give promises; he didn’t want to convince her to get back with him with sweet words and empty promises. He was actually there right now just as someone who loved her more than anything in his life.
“We were fine, Sonny. It wasn’t perfect, but we were working things out, weren’t we?” she finally said, breaking the silence. “I was a bit stressed out, a bit upset because things were hard for us, but I was fine with it. Because I know since day one, that life with you will not be easy sometimes. And honestly, I liked it. I liked what we had, I wanted that hard life with you.”
Sonny listened to her carefully, as he felt his heart beating hard on his chest. Their eyes were locked into each other, and Sonny swore that tonight he wouldn’t look away from those beautiful eyes that she had.
“And I’m sorry, maybe at that time it wasn’t the right time to mention marriage. But I loved to imagine a future with you.” A faint smile grew on her face and her tone got a tad happier. “Being your wife, building a family, planning for life after your retirement one day… I imagined all that. You’d be a coach and I’d still come to watch the match even though you don’t play anymore. And you’d always be famous so we’d always have to have bodyguards with us when we go out on sneaky dates, even when we’re nearly forty. Maybe a couple of Son juniors would tag along…”
This time she didn’t stop the tears from falling from her eyes. And Sonny didn’t know what had gotten into him, but he walked towards her, and when he was close enough, he pulled her into his arms. At first he thought that she was going to reject him and push him, but a moment later he felt her melting into his embrace. Her body shook as she silently cried, and he let her as he kept hugging her.
“I want all of that for us. I want everything you wanted for us,” Sonny whispered to her ear.
“No. You can’t do this to me, Sonny, you can’t,” she mumbled to his shoulder in between her cries.
“I’m sorry, I have to. You’re the love of my life, I can’t let you marry someone else.” His voice started shaking as he felt the urge to cry. The feelings were getting overwhelming for him—the feeling of having her in her arms again, the feeling of possibly losing her forever. “I know you still love me. You feel the same, I can feel it. We belong to each other. Please.”
Sonny felt her gently pushing him, so he reluctantly loosened his arms.
“But I’m getting married in five weeks! We’ve paid for everything, the invitations are out, and I’ve just booked flight tickets for my parents, for God’s sake.” She looked up so she could clearly look at his face. “And I can’t break Josh’s heart, Sonny. He’s so fucking in love with me, it’s going to crush him.”
“But I’m the one you truly love.” It came out as a statement, not a question, because he was sure it was the truth. Ben was right, it was easy to see that she still loved him. She still looked at him the same way, touched him the same way. The connection between them was still very much there. “You loving him doesn’t stop you from wanting me. Him loving you doesn’t stop your pain of not being with me. I know because I feel it too.”
“Please, come back to me,” Sonny continued. “Life with me is still going to be hard. I hate making promises but I will now. I’ll believe more in myself. I’ll let you be there for me, for us. I’ll listen to you, I’ll tell you when I need you, I won’t push you away. I’ll give everything for us, no matter how hard things are.”
“You know it’s easier said than done…”
“I know. But please, give me a second chance to try. I can do everything. What I can’t do is see you with anyone else. Please,” Sonny begged, as he placed his hands on her waist and gave it a light squeeze. “Don’t marry him and get back to me.”
She let out a long sigh as her hands travelled to the back of his head. She caressed his hair like she’d used to, so gentle, so calming. “Oh, Sonny…” She said. Sonny closed his eyes, feeling himself melting into her touch. “You’re the best thing that I’ve ever had…”
Sonny’s heart skipped a beat. But to be the best thing she’d ever had was not enough for him. He wanted her more than anything, more than he’d ever been. He maybe still had a bit of insecurities and fears left deep down inside him, but he’d willing to fight them for her.
Today he’d presented her, maybe still not the best, but surely the most real and honest version of him, that he hadn’t shown her in a very long time. And if at the end of the night he rejected her and told him to go away, he honestly didn’t know what he’d do with his life.
“You ready for this?” Joey asked. They were on a balcony, looking down to the aisle and altar in the garden. The big day had come and Sonny had never felt so nervous in his life before—not for any North London derbies, not even for that Champions League final.
“Yeah,” Sonny simply shrugged as he took a sip from the glass of sparkling water he’d been holding. “Looks a bit cloudy today, innit? I hope it’s not going to rain.”
“Weather forecast says it’s going to get sunny in the next hour, so everything’s going to be fine,” Ben said from the bench he was sitting on. “However, I feel like the rain’s going to pour down from your eyes.”
“That is so lame,” Joey turned on his heels to look at Ben. Sonny just let out a chortle.
“Tell me he’s not going to weep, though. Look at him now, he looks like he could bawl his eyes out in any second.”
“You’re the worst friend. Sonny, isn’t he the worst friend?” Joey, who happened to stand between the two men, shifted his gaze back and forth. “What Sonny needs the most today is calm and comfort, and you’re not helping at all.”
“Well, I’ve helped a lot. He wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for me,” Ben defended himself. To be fair, Ben deserved some of the credits, so Sonny had to agree–he nodded his head in agreement. “See?”
Joey shook his head. “I do think I deserve some credits too, but whatever,” he commented. “I’m a bit hungry. Anyone wants to look for a quick bite?” He glanced at both men again.
“Yeah, I’ll go with you,” Ben said. But Sonny shook his head this time.
“Nah, I’m good. I’ll stay here.”
After giving a pat on his shoulder, Joey left with Ben trailing behind him, leaving Sonny alone.
Today was going to be a life-changing one for Sonny. He was still processing his feelings and everything that was happening, and he was grateful that he had Ben and Joey who’d always been there for him, because he didn’t think he could go through this alone.
Sonny had made his mistakes. He could only regret it forever, but he’d realised that the most important thing was to appreciate what he had now. Everything that had happened had shaped him to be the man he was today, which was better than who he’d been yesterday.
Sonny was going to see her in an hour, in the most beautiful wedding dress that had ever been made—but it was mostly because she was the one who was wearing it. She’d be the most beautiful person on this island, and she’d walk that aisle gracefully, with her most gorgeous smile plastered on her face. And Sonny was going to be there witnessing it all.
And just maybe, by watching her being the happiest person in the world today, he could finally let those regrets go. Maybe it would be easier for him to forgive himself and take the next step. And finally, he could be the man that he wanted for her.
so...what do you think happened at the ending? do you think sonny is going to marry her or he just got invited to her wedding with josh? were ben and joe there at the venue as his groomsmen or were they all just guests at her wedding?🥹
i haven’t written in like 4 months and i thought that i’ve completely lost the ability to write, so i was surprised that i managed to write this. i hope you’re still interested in my writings because i might make a short comeback!😆

Son Heung-Min x Fem!Reader
Warnings: sonny is a hyper golden retriever boyfriend (no shocker there), first trips to the winter fair, meeting reindeers, sooo many pics, both sonny and the reindeers are excited to meet each other, all around sweetness.
Word Count: 559
Author's Note: first time writing for sonny! hopefully it's okay besties lol - idk why there aren't more fics for him! he's a sweetheart.
--
The winter fair was in town and Sonny decides that you two should go pay the reindeers a visit, because that’s what Santa would want.
It wasn't unusual for your boyfriend to come running at you as if you were a player for the opposing team, Sonny making a B line for you and jumping right on top of you.
Over the years, you've learnt to brace yourself for him.
"Hi honey" you brush his hair out of his face, smiling at him as he gets comfortable with his head on your lap.
"Hi," he grinned, phone in his head. "Do you have plans?"
"For today?"
"Yeah," he nods, "I don't have training sooooo, I was thinking we could go out."
You shrugged, "had to go grocery shopping but I can do it tomorrow. What did you have in mind?"
His eyes light up. "The winter fair is in town!" You smile at his childlike excitement, "I know."
"Can we go? I want to go see the reindeers." He tells you and your brows furrow, it seems that Sonny sensed your confusion and continued speaking, giving you some clarification. "You know, reindeers, the things that pull Santa's sleigh."
You laughed, "I know what they are, baby. You wanna go see them?"
"Yeah, it's what Santa would want." He gets up, pulling you off the couch. "If you insist and if Santa insists, who am I to say no?" You smiled, letting him pull you to the front door.
It took you two a few minutes to gather yourselves, bundling up for London's cold weather before you two made the drive to the fair. It takes Sonny 2 seconds to find where the reindeers are located on the map that the man at the front gate was passing out. Your boyfriend grabs your hand, pulling you through the crowd to the reindeers.
His long legs made it easier for him to navigate but you were practically running to keep up with him.
The woman running the booth hands him some carrots, telling what he could and couldn't do before Sonny starts feeding them. He's so excited to feed them, surely his face hurts from smiling.
You take a million photos of him, recording him feeding the reindeers their carrots as mom would record their child for Facebook. You smiled as one of the reindeers nuzzled into Sonny's hand, his face lighting up.
He looked over at you. "Look!" He whispers shouts, as if he thought if he spoke any louder, he'd scare the reindeer away.
After way too many carrots, the woman told Sonny that their reindeers wouldn't be able to fly if they ate anymore - an answer that was usually catered towards children. You got her hint, Sonny seemed a bit sad but nodded.
"I'll be back!" he tells the reindeers, rubbing one of them on the cheek gently. You smiled, holding his hand as you two walked off.
You took him for hot chocolate to warm and cheer him up. As you waited in line, you looked over at him. "Did you have a good time?"
"Yeah!" He grins, nodding. "I had never met reindeers before, I didn't even know they were real until I moved here. I thought it was only for tv."
"Well they seemed very excited to meet you too," you tell him, "maybe they're Spurs fans."
Sonny laughs, "they're in the right place then."
You smile, your arm linking with your boyfriend's, reaching up to give him a kiss.

AND they did it, reader got pregnant and at his game when the match is finish (like at the end family member can be on the pitch to meet the player) and surprise him with the ultrasound scan of the baby 😉 thank you
if you don’t write for sonny anymore, its can be mason mount

The last home game of the season is a time when all the families come together to celebrate one more season completed and all that has been achieved in it. It's the moment when the players thank the fans for their immense support, when the kids are free to play on the field carefree. You have been living it for years now and each time is like the first.
You and your husband go around chatting a little with everyone, or rather you doing the chatting and him trying to steal the children from their parents to play with. And it's so nice to be together in harmony like that, after that final whistle it's as if everything cancels out to make room only for fun and carefreeness.
And that evening when you and Sonny get home, you notice that the boy doesn't stop staring at you no matter what you do. He has an adorable expression on his face, but you can't help but giggle embarrassed. After all the years together, he still has the same effect on you after all.
"What's up?"
"Nothing, I was just thinking about how you'd be as a mum" his bluntness leaves you speechless, the tea towel in your hand slipping away.
"What?"
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you or anything" he moves closer to you wrapping his hands around your waist, leaving a kiss on your cheek.
"Just surprised, that's all" you shrug as a smile now makes its way onto your face, "What made you think that?"
"Today. It's this day actually, where everyone brings their wives and kids and has fun. Seeing you with Harry's kids and the others made me think what it would be like with one of our own. Taking them to games, seeing them cheering for me with my number on the back..."
"I thought you wanted to wait until you retired" having children was something you had always wanted but at that moment it was more a thought in the back of your mind despite you and Sonny having been married for three years now. You always thought it wasn't the right time given Sonny's career, knowing how bad he would feel about losing important milestone in his children's lives.
"I thought so too, but I guess it was always just fear. Of not being able to carry on with everything and leaving you alone. But when I saw you today, I just found myself thinking about how much I want to have a baby with you"
"You want a baby? Now?" you don't know what to say, the only thing you can do is check that you haven't misunderstood as tears mist your eyes and for a moment your throat closes in emotion. He chuckles, holding you close with one arm as his other hand goes to caress your cheek.
"Only if you want too, I don't want to push you. If you need time to think about it..."
"No" you shake your head decisively, "I told you before, I'm ready when you're ready" Sonny leans in slightly so as to kiss you before holding you tightly, your head going wild and the smiles on your faces making no sign of wanting to disappear.
"You know I wish my children, our children, could see what I do, not imagine it from some story"
"They will, and they'll be so damn proud"
-
Time had been very busy, but that doesn't mean you hadn't tried. Sonny had had to leave for some international duties, you had attended a few weddings of both your own and his friends, and then the pre-season had begun. It all seemed to go by in the blink of an eye, but you had certainly ensured that you could carve out moments alone as a couple.
You knew the moment would come and you had been waiting for it, but neither of you wanted to make it an obsession. You had enjoyed the quiet moments without any commitments to rest, relax and enjoy yourselves. Because Sonny especially needed it to recharge himself as much as possible for the new season that was approaching with a burst of excitement.
And there was something you had recently discovered, something you could no longer keep to yourself but at the same time you wanted it said in some special way. You were pregnant. You had made it.
You had been feeling weird for days, your head in the clouds, but you didn't want to admit what your head had been thinking all along. So as not to create false expectations. You hadn't told Sonny because he was preparing for the last pre-season game and needed to concentrate, but taking advantage of his absence you had worked up the courage.
Pretending the test hadn't come back positive, however briefly, had been torture. But the time had finally come to break the news to Sonny, at the stadium after the first game of the new season. You had thought that a special moment like that required a special place.
You are a little nervous, trying not to let anything out until the appointed time even though as soon as you stop to think what you are about to do your eyes fill with tears. And when the final whistle blows, you leap from your seat like a spring.
You stop in the tunnel where a stream of people come and go trying to spot Sonny, your heart pounding, and you're beyond excited now. You bump into Eric and breathe a sigh of relief at seeing a friendly face, he walks away with a promise to get Sonny to you as soon as possible.
You stay still in that place playing nervously with your ring until you see him and a smile paints itself on your face, same on his but with a hint of worry.
"Hey, Eric told me you were here" he leaves a kiss on your lips as you nod.
"Yeah sorry, I know it wasn't the plan but I need to talk to you"
"Okay" you let go of one of his hands for a moment so you can take something out of your pocket and he looks carefully and curiously at that white paper you extend to him.
"What is it?" it's thicker than just a sheet of paper and his instincts lead him to turn it over in his hands, catching sight of something on the other side. It's a black and white photo and he gasps in surprise when he recognises the ultrasound scan.
"I'm pregnant Sonny" you whisper with your voice broken with emotion, a soft expression on your face as you can't hold back a few tears.
"Oh my god. Oh my god!" he finally looks into your eyes and in an instant you're in his arms, laughing with your face buried in his neck as he spins you on the spot. "We're having a baby ooh I can't believe it!"
"Put me down" you giggle and as soon as your feet touch the ground, Sonny places his hands gently at your sides massaging your cheeks with his thumbs.
"We're going to have a baby" he murmurs almost on your lips as you nod vividly and the sweet kiss you exchange brings in all the joy for that new part of your lives.

Washing your hair
Tumblr media
30 Day Challenge  My daily challenge with prompts, these fics will not be tagged only if they were requested by an account and they’ll be under 500 words.  2. Washing your hair  Son Heung Min  Word Count: 362 “You look so unwell” he pouted as you just stared straight at him. “Thank you for stating the obvious” you rolled your eyes.  “Oh sorry, maybe I can take you for a bath if you’re feeling poorly” he asked you as you nodded, raising your head slightly.  “Okay, come on and I can help you up” Sonny put his hands out in front of him as you weakly grabbed them.  “It hurts” you whispered as you clutched your body, feeling a shiver inside you.  “I know, you have to rest up” he replied as he helped you walk upstairs as you gently walked alongside him as you took each step carefully.  “Shall I wash your hair?” he asked you as you took off your jumper and raised it above your head.  “Oh would you, my hair looks awful. I look awful I may add” you sighed.  “You aren’t well, it is okay. You have a very bad infection, you need to be resting” you nodded as Sonny poured water over your hair gently.  “Mm, this shampoo smells so nice” he mumbled as he put the shampoo into his hand as he massaged it into your scalp as gently as he could, not wanting to hurt you as you already had a headache.  “I’m not hurting you am i?” Sonny whispered.  “No it is okay, it is quite relaxing actually. I could fall asleep whilst you are doing this” you laughed. “Right I think we will do conditioner now” Sonny softly spoke as he massaged more into your hair.  “I feel you are enjoying this quite a lot” you let out a laugh, which turned into a cough. “I am actually, right I will wash the bubbles out. Do you want me to do it for you or can you do it?” he asked you as you shook your head.  “No it is okay. You have done enough for me now, thank you so much” you grinned as you lifted his chin as you pressed a kiss on his soft lips.  “I’ll leave you to relax, call me if you need any help” he smiled, leaving you to relax in the warm bath.

some things to know about:
my blog is a safe space for everyone, I do not tolerate any kind of hate and discrimination. show some compassion and empathy instead!
for now I only write for Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount. I may write smut, but I'll mostly write angst and fluff. But even in non-smut fics I can use explicit language and my fics may contain mature contents, so make sure you read warnings section before reading every fic.
I'm currently not writing based on request, but if you want to share any idea(s) you can send any through ask!
as a (new) writer, I would love to hear your thoughts and/or feedbacks on my fics, so feel free to send them in through reply/reblog/ask! please be kind and use appropriate language 💖
if you want to interact with me, you can send me ask or DM! once again, please be kind and use appropriate language 🤍 spam and inappropriate ask/DM will be deleted and blocked
