Kickstarter! OMG IT'S HAPPENING!!! I still remember last year light box expo, I saw @Solkorra animatic of First Saber and thought to myself: "wooow! That's looks amazing! I wonder how it would look like finished!" But at this time I would have never guessed that I would be part of the team who would make it happen!? Like, how amazing is that!!?? It's still hard to believe that I'm working with such amazing people from @instamotion.studio ( Instagram) and make this short animation possible! Japan, Canada, and China. I don’t... Count China, cause I was at the airport. XD Had I know my flight was going to be 5 hours later, I would have absolutely left and done something so I could get it stamped on my passport.

So I’ve seen EXO when I liked them back two years ago, and in December I get to see my all time biggest idol, Amber Liu of F(x). :) <3

So I really like watching KubScouts and Achievement Hunters. I’ll binge watch those. I also adore Cry and his let’s plays, especially of The Walking Dead and Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins to the Moon. I binge watch him and Dodger play Dandelion, Wishes Brought to You. XD

6: What’s the best gift you’ve ever gotten from someone?

This one is gonna sound stupid, but like, I have a hatred for Valentines Day, and not just because I never have anyone to spend it with. Long story short, it was ruined for me years ago by my dad. Anyway, my therapist at the time got me this giant stuffed lion with a bow on it for Valentines Day and brought it to my high school when she came to see me. No, it wasn’t a romantic gesture. She just knows what happened, and also knows how I feel about that stuff, so like, that lion is probably my most favorite gift.

And to add to that story, yes. I walked around that day with it. It was too big to fit in my locker! So me, at 18 years old, walked around in my senior year that day with it. People gave me gross looks, but I was just like, “Bitch, you see that tiny card you got? Check out my giant lion.”

I would like to emphasize the lion was up to my knees. I’m five foot seven.

7: Favorite Console/gaming platform?

If I had a one key, playing on my computer would be so much easier, but I prefer my laptop.

8: Name 4-5 of your most favorite celebrities.

Amber, Amber, Amber, Amber... And Angelina Jolie.

9: Do you have any pets? If not, which animal would you like to have as a pet?

I have five cats, but I want a dog again. If I had a choice, I’d have horses. I love horses, and I miss my Odie. :(

Nabari No Ou. It’s such a small fandom (Only a few hundred at this point), so it’s easy to be nice and receive kindness from people.

Conclusión...

La última y nos vamos, recuerden que todas las imágenes son de sus respectivos propietarios.

Si bien “Voltron” no fue el impactazo cultural ni parte del “boom del anime” en mi lindo, querido y nada corrupto México, algunos aspectos si se quedaron en la mente de los niños y jóvenes. Pongámoslo así, no fue un pilar durante el “boom”, peeeeero fue parte importante del papel tapiz.

(Bueno, tampoco había mucho de donde elegir en esos días)

• ¿Qué otras cositas hay que mencionar de este “menjurje” de animaciones japonesas? Bueno, ¿recuerdan que mencioné que los de WEP pidieron de por favorcito a la Toei que hicieran un capítulo especial para unir a GoLion y a Dairugger XV? Pues en 1986, año del mundial, siempre si se hizo, esta cosa se llama “Voltron: Fleet of Doom” donde veríamos al robotsote de los leones luchando codo a codo junto al robotsote de los 15 carros en una batalla épica que… pues la IMDB la tiene con 7,7 de 10… o el crítico es idiota o es tan mala que es buena. No se… bueno, ninguna cosa adaptada por los americanos puede ser peor que la película (animada) de Robotech o lo que le querían hacer a Sailor Moon, ¿Verdad?

Pues esta cosa es de culto, los coleccionistas la buscan, así que si alguien por aquí tiene la película en DVD, pues haga su inversión. En el 2010 iban a sacar el Blue ray, pero por alguna extraña razón se canceló.

VIDEOGAMES

• Año 2011, programado por Behaviour Interactive (creo) y publicado por THQ sale para descarga de PlayStation3 y Xbox360 “Voltron: Defender of the Universe”, un supuesto shooter donde te cuenta la historia de la vieja serie y pues… los críticos insisten en que tiene calificaciones “buenas” por el puro factor nostalgia. -__-

Bueno, lo bueno es que las peleas con jefes manejabas al robotsote acompañado con otros 4 jugadores… osea que si había lag, ya había valido.

• Pero vayámonos unos añitos hacia atrás, 2007. La Nintendo DS saca (en exclusiva para los japoneses… ay como los odio -_-||) “Super Robot Wars W”, un bonito videojuego de un jugador donde te cuenta una historia bien pacheca porque revuelve muchos, MUCHOS mechas famosos. Lo mismo vemos a los de Full Metal Panic, al Mazinkaiser, a los Gundam, al Tekkaman, a los locos de Nadeshiko, a los de Getter Robo… y si, GoLion hace su aparición en el capítulo 7… y si, Takashi igual se nos muere. (Don Shirogane, usted es nuestro Krilin de la vieja escuela U_U)

• En la actualidad no se que decir, no encontré nada. En Tumblr vi una pantallita que decía “Elige a tu paladín” pero perdí la dirección. (¡Tooooorpe! ¬¬) y pues... me da miedo buscar en los juegos de “niños” en flash, porque sacan CADA ESTUPIDÉZ.

EL LIVE ACTION QUE (GRACIAS SEÑOR) NO FUE A principios de la década de los 2000 mucha gente quería hacer live actions de series. Querían hacer una de “Robotech” (que, gracias Diosa del Universo, no se hizo), querían hacer una de “Evangelion”, que tampoco cuajó, querían hacer una de “Akira”… que hasta al día de hoy no se deja. Y por supuesto, de “Voltron”.

Planeada para el 2010, en el 2008 los de WEP se metieron en un pequeño lío legal con los de Toei Animation. ¿La manzana de la discordia? Nada, allá por el año 1998 a los de WEP se les ocurrió hacer una animación sin preguntarle primero a los de Toei… si señoritas y señores, “The Third Dimension” aparte de fea, hizo muchos problemas… pero bueno, dice el dicho “No obtener lo que se quiere es a veces un golpe de suerte”. ¿No?

¿COMICS? Como si el revoltijo de “Super Robot Wars W” no fuera suficiente, en el año 2007/2008 la Dynamite Entertainment se encarga de publicar el crossover definitivo de dos franquicias hechas con pedacitos: “Robotech/Voltron”. Por desgracia la Wiki de Robotech no da muchos detalles, pero como se puede ver en imágenes, el estilo “quiero imitar al japonés” se nota… aunque no tan exagerado como los “Tween Titans”.

Algun día se me hará hablar de este crossover

LA PELÍCULA NO OFICIAL ¿Se acuerdan de ese corto de “Power Rangers” repleto de violencia y sexo que desagradó hasta al propio Jason David Frank? Bueno, a finales del año 2011, Alex Albretcht escribe y dirige un fan film sobre Voltron llamado simplemente “Voltron: The End”. Bueno, este corto de 4 minutos no contiene ni sexo ni violencia, pero si una historia nada optimista.

Ha ocurrido un accidente, lo que queda del Sargento Lance Rainier (Timothy Omundson ) intenta comunicarse con sus compañeros, pero la computadora del león rojo indica que el resto de los leones fueron destruidos. El rey Zarkon ha ganado, los buenos han perdido, solo queda esperar lo inevitable, pero entre la desesperación el sargento nos da a entender que siempre hay un rayo de esperanza. ... Voy a llorar. ;___;

¿TAN TAN? ¿Y qué más?... Por ahora no tengo nad… ¡Ah si! El bonito fandom, el super bonito, amable, adorable y pero para NADA toxico fandom.

Si cabr*n, ya se que las ultimas dos temporadas de VLD estan del asco y arruinaron tu vida, no me los recuerdes cada 5 minutos.

Artistas como Elentori, Johanna the Mad, Solkorra, Geckostuffs y la chica de “The Searching Astronaut” se encargan de hacer unos fanarts bastante interesantes y muy bien hechos, pero estoy segura de que eso ya lo saben.

Bueno a estas alturas ya todos deben saber que hay muchos más artistas que valen la pena y muchos más que hacen otros shippings.

Algo que muchos deben aprender es que, el hecho de que no te guste un shiping no te da derecho a atacar a las personas que es gusta. Seguro, puedes ignorarlo, hablar pestes de el y hasta reírte un poco, pero de eso a atacar a la gente, burlarte de ella y desearle enfermedades a sus parientes solo porque personaje X no te gusta con personaje y... Mejor me callo, esto solo me trae viejos recuerdos de Vietnam.

(Y fue este pobrecito pan de dios el que terminó más afectado en esta estúpida ship-war)

Y por ahora termina el destripe de nuestro robot gigante favorito, recuerden amiguitos, si tienen más datos o me equivoqué en algo, solo avisen y externen toda su opinión y conocimiento en los comentarios. Muchísimas gracias a quienes les gustaron mis locos escritos, fueron una razón para continuar explicando todas estas cosas.

Algo que he acostumbrado a decir en diversas paginas o grupos es una frase atribuida a Voltaire (pero ya se demostró que nunca la dijo) , la cual modifiqué para estos asuntos y que dice más o menos así:

“No estoy de acuerdo con lo que shipea, pero defenderé con mi vida su derecho a hacerlo ” Hasta la proxima.

I just watched the Castlevania anime & I can see where people made all the Kidge correlations, lol. Now, with Lotor's behavior at the end of season 4, he may very well fit into Alucards role. Hmmmmmm.
