#aw man#i needed to put 'english isnt my first language' in most of my previous socials#like is it hard for people to ask for clarifications nicely or maybe not be rude to random people on the internet#i get the being overly familiar to strangers part to the point of joking hostility bcs you get carried away sometimes#doesnt sound great in my ears but i Get it its fine#but its reasonable that i dont wanna be treated like im stupid for not understanding something the first time#no matter how common of an idiom it is#or if *i* use the wrong idiom#some people are literally so uncalled for#(not about anyone here nor johnmalevolent btw its a guy from another platform)#we've literally only talked three times (most of which were just me replying to their comments) and i dont like being called-#-stupid for not having the same knowledge native speakers do#so soz im soooo pissed off ðŸ˜#they didnt outright call me stupid but they did say 'how do you not know it. have some common sense'#which sounds p much the same to me#it was worse when i was 15. but still not a great thing to hear!
