hi! i really love your designs, the colours are always really well done anf the characters are full of life.. and i love how your rewrites give the characters complexity and make them really interesting to me, much more so than canon(though i am a fan of some ideas introduced there, they don’t quite turn out in ways that make sense to me)! i’ve been wondering a few things about helluva troupe for a while however and hopefully the answers aren’t spoilers, lol.. in HT, what is Fizz’s involvement with the ‘troupe’ and what is stolas’s involvement too.? i wish you much luck on your work as it is lovely to see! (also apologies for my silly username)

With Fizz it's,,, a bit Fuzzy, because hilariously he's the whole reason I made this AU among other things But I ended up makinh him a sorta side character antag again because while originally he was going to be part of the main crew from the start of HT's storyline, as I went along in trying to write I saw some cool hcs about his star clown days and so I thought to use the more canonized view- mostly in that he's a star clown during the events of HT instead of dropping the show life to join Blitz in I.M.P. That previous version is why you see him in the I.M.P references- and hinty hoo that ol version isnt completely null and voice to the current HT

ANYWAY so yeah- While Fizz isn't as much a main character as he was he still has a great deal of importance to the story and themes I want to express in HT. When it comes to him and the Troupe itself, I could best describe him as one of the biggest foils or parallels to the main cast. Just,, he's this golden image that represents their every want fulfilled. For Blitz especially given their thick history heehooo. (That's not to say this 'golden image' is entirely as it seems btw...)

Now it sounds much like canon I know but I like to think I'm taking a different direction with it- It's not really just the "haha you suck with relationships, fuck, shit, pénis im doing better look at my good relationship" nonsense cuz for 1. Fizzarozzie does nOT exist anymore- its Mamzie now 😊 (Mammon + Ozzie) and 2. The themes with Fizz and really most of HT has less to do with the melodramatic romance "will they wont they" of Stolitz (which isnt really a thing either) and more the struggle impoverished and oppressed peoples experience with success, failure, identity, community, family, status, history, trauma, etccc. Specifically, because I am an indigenous person from Canada, a lot of the themes are drawn from my own experiences, knowledge and history as an indigenous person. Though with execution, creative liberties were taken to make the fact they're in Hell clear btww-

That very likely did nOT answer jour question but i amn,,,stoopi 😭😭😭 simpler answer i suppose maybe by chance would be Fizz is an eventual antagonist to I.M.P. Specifics and how it happens and wheNNN?? Im still not sure yet if im honest- been really busy the last year or so and so Ive hadnt had any time or energy to work as much on writing all the things! ;u; thats probs disappointing to hear cuz plaNNing and all is important if you're gonna post story stuff at all,,, but !! I do hope to work more on the story this year so i can wrap up all these floating ideas into a Concrete line of stuff cuz truly all im missing is the middle pieces. Maybe an HT comic will be real this/or next year! 👀🏃

ANYHOOT ONTO STOLAS! i rambled a bit too much about Fizz cuz im still figuring him out- Stolas might be a bit shorter cuz his role is sweet and simplisticerr.

So, Stolas is an antagonist. He and Blitz still have an exchange sort of deal, but the deal is Blitz gets to keep the grimoire for I.M.P if he handles Stolas' "errands" and gives it back on the full moon with ofc none of the uh,,hawny stuff, obv. Blitz kinda keeps this deal under wraps from the rest of I.M.P because for him, it hurts his pride to admit he's in need of some big guy's help. And Stolas is somewhat aware of this. And so, Stolas is this looming, cruel threat that Blitz carries the burden of cuz he's stubborn as fuck whilst the rest of I.M.P remain ignorant.

Some bonus notes that dont really have to do with Stolas involvement with imp but jus how stuff ive changed with his canon influence the story diff than canon; so, Stella isnt a thing anymore. In general the Goetia work much differently- majority of the Goetia being the children of Ozzie instead of Paimon (who is Stolas' sibling now btw too) and the Goetia being thousands of years old instead of fucking 30- Also! While Via is existant she is but a baby instead of a moody teen,, ties heavily with Stolas' motives and how he operates as a character, royal, and Goetian and felt it would work better with how HT Stolas is as a character than it would otherwise.

Also no worries about the username! I dont like canon stolas much either lol,,;

What's your phone's wallpaper: A fanart piece of Pantalone from Genshin Impact skdjfhsdf it's been there for the past half a year, and it's funny because I used to change my background fairly often before but nowadays I'm just too lazy to change it. So I guess he'll be there until I find something new that I really really like.

Last song you listened to: Idk man, I'm listening to music daily so songs come and go every 4-5 minute skdjhfsf But I guess I could put down the song I'm listening to right now while typing this - "You Are My Sunshine" by Johnny Cash.

Currently reading: Kuroshitsuji. I'm really bad at sitting down and reading books so I usually listen to audio books instead but I love collecting books for some reason skdjfhsdf, but keeping up with the Kuroshitsuji manga is easy since one chapter is released every month, and ngl, I would do the same to other on-going manga series but that would require me to... y'know, sit down and read a lot just to catch up skdjfhsd but I do have Vanitas no Carte in the backburner that I'll eventually get to reading in full. Same goes for the Sailor Moon manga, which I actually own the entire collection of, and I have read at least 3 volumes of it + the volumes with the bonus stories. But in general the collection is just... sitting on my bookshelf collecting dust 😭

Last movie: Uhhhh.... I used to watch movies so much but nowadays I'm too addicted to youtube content to really sit down and watch movies, because it's always such a hassle because every time a movie is over I'm sitting there like 'ok now what to watch' and then I get stuck in limbo of what I feel like watching skdjfhsd And youtube is endless. But I think that the last movie I watched was "Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back - Evolution" with @jinanreona :3

Last show: ... Same thing here, I don't watch a lot of shows either. And if I do, I usually rewatch shows I'm already familiar with ksdjhfsdf I think the last show I watched in whole was The Walking Dead back in February. And a couple of weeks ago I watched a few Kuroshitsuji episodes with @dokitm! But I think that's about it skjdfhsdf

What are you wearing right now?: .... That is kind of a personal question, isn't it😏

Piercings/tattoos?: No tattoos, but I'd like to have one one day when I'm financially stable to get one skdjhfsd I've had plenty of piercings tho. I got my ears pierced when I was 7 and I still have those, and then when I was 15 I pierced them again so I had two beside each other on each ear. Then when I was 17 I got one for my nose but I let it grow away like 3 years later because I thought it always looked like I had a giant decorative zit on there skjfsd Then I got a navel one when I was 21, and I actually loved it a lot and had it for years. But then one day the jewelry came loose and I couldn't be bothered to get a new one and that one too eventually grew away. I've always wanted a tongue piercing, but it has just never really happened yet. Maybe some day~

Favourite colour(s)?: For stand-alone colours my favorites are black and blue. For colour combos, my all-time favourite is black/white/red, and I also really like purple/pink/orange/yellow.

Current obsession: Uh... I'm very particular in the way I obsess about things skjdfhsdf I don't have a lot of things that I obsess over, but I have a couple that I keep switching between depending on what kind of content I'm exposed to and/or engage in at the moment. Like, for example, right now my current obsession is Breath of the Wild because I'm replaying it to get into the hype for Tears of the Kingdom that is coming out tomorrow (!!!!), and I've been obsessing about it for at least 2 months straight now just because of that. But like... even tho I've been playing a lot, I still don't play every day. And the days when I don't play, I'm obsessing over any of my other interests. And whenever I'm not obsessing over those, I'm obsessing over the one remainder thing. The other day I was obsessing over Warcraft lore because I was spending a whole day playing WoW, and before then I was obsessing over Genshin, and before then it was something else. I obsess over the same things but I do it in phases, and I rarely get new obsessions ksdjhfsdf And ofc, in-between all of these interests, I'm constantly (tho subconsciously) obsessing over Kuroshitsuji and Twisted Wonderland ( Sebastian and Malleus specifically ofc ) :'3 It's like when my mind isn't occupied with anything in particular, Sebastian and Malleus is always living rent free in my head, and I spend my time drawing fanart of them.~

Do you have a crush right now?: Nope. Thus is the life of a demi.~

Favourite fictional character: If I don't say Sebastian Michaelis here I cannot in good faith call myself the biggest Sebastian apologist to have walked this Earth.... but Malleus, Yuugi (ygo), Howl (howl's moving castle - mostly the book version because he's such a little shit there and i absolutely love it, but the movie version is what i was introduced to and it will forever hold a special place in my heart), Zhongli (genshin), Fiore (sailor moon), Mamoru (sailor moon - manga and smc have him much better fleshed out and i love it, but he 90s anime will obviously always have a special place in my heart because it is what i grew up watching ♥ ), Lady Mipha (loz: botw), and Harley Quinn (btas as well as the newer animated harley quinn series) are all ofc huge faves of mine as well ;w; There's absolutely more but.... we'd be here all day~

YEAR OF THE FANGAN - MARCH EDITION

ꕥ DREADNOUGHT DESPAIR ꕥ

The TV Tropes Fanworks page officially strikes again! Because I lean towards fics advertised on there with character pages (as usually that indicates the characters aren't solely there to be picked off), Dreadnought Despair's been on my radar for a while. And, unsurprisingly, it exceeded expectation.

Now, in terms of the cast, I love these guys. Due to the "cozy" way of telling the story (aka focusing moreso on building relationships amongst the cast than an overarching plot about the killing game Hope's Chains style), there's space in the narrative to explore different character dynamics. Because of that, the class bounces off one another super well, and allows my faves more time to show off their fun personalities without having to keep up with a fast-paced story.

However, despite the strong cast and chill vibes, my favorite part of this fangan is easily how it presents itself.

I think the best place to start off with is the visuals, because the blog for this story looks damn gorgeous. Each character is given really nice character portraits that can even indicate in-the-moment actions the characters are taking (for example, Ishi being held back from doing something by Vash), the textboxes are colour-coded to each character, and there's even gifs for small things like maps during FTEs.

But my admiration for the presentation doesn't end with the visuals alone. The fic takes on a Last Resort / Apex Academy style of navigating (something that makes FTEs a lot funner imo), mixed media like videos and audio clips are sprinkled through the story, and foreign lines from characters like Gugalanna and Seigfried have pop-up translations if you hover over them. Hell, apparently there was a viewer poll for a decision made in the story at one point!

All of this culminates in what's easily my favorite part of this fangan: the trial segment. Now, I've played through my fair share of fun interactive trials in my hayday (aka Eden's Garden and Apex Academy, and that's literally it so far), but this has got to be the most impressive one imo. Alongside incorporating several of the things mentioned above, it also has somewhat-branching routes, fun pieces of dialogue when you get something wrong, and full-on minigames!?!?!? Seriously, the author deserves an actual prize for that Anagram Argument / Panic Talk Action segment (even if I wished the latter didn't kick my dumb ass back to the start of it when I got a choice wrong, rip 😭)

Seriously, go read it and experience everything first-hand! I promise you won't regret it!

FAVORITE MOMENT: The library meeting, where most of the class discusses their motive. A lot of small pieces of insight are given about the secondary characters, it allows for more fun dynamics to blossom, and one character gets a pretty interesting reveal.

FAVORITE CHARACTER: Jurou Takahashi, a guy with a shitty mall goth aesthetic who's actually a good ol' country boy who makes flower arrangements as his talent. An absolute sweetheart just doing his best, and I adore him for it 💖

OTHER STANDOUT CHARACTERS: Tiffani Fairfax, the cranky, sarcastic technical support specialist whose cynical take on things is a blast to read, and Nikola Ragnvaldsson, a TV pitchman who does his best to mask his panicky nature with a smile, something he's really, really bad at doing.

"Are you sure about this love?" Yami asked you once again, as he helped you pack everything you needed for tomorrow, "Going to the beach, with our two monkeys AND the bulls? With you pregnant?"

"Honey, relax~" you placed an assuring arm on your husband's biceps, "I'm sure Yuki and Yuuji would be happy!"

Of course he had to agree, happy wife, happy life. Also, it has been some time since the bulls went on a trip together, it would be a nice and relaxing day, and he could enjoy beer by the beach again, just like before. Or so he thought.

He was enjoying his beer by the beach, wearing nothing but his underwear as usual, watching Yuki and Yuuji playing with the rest of the bulls... Until you started to remove the sundress you were in.

"What are you doing honey?" Yami looked at you as you revealed your lovely two-piece white Bikini.

"Wearing my bikini to suntan?" you looked at him, "does it look okay? Do I look like a whale?"

He looked as the white contrasted your dark glowing skin, showing off your beautiful cleavage, your belly round and full with his 3rd child. He gulped and sat up, opening his arms, gesturing for you to come to him.

You sat on his lap and his hands wrapped around your waist, the other stroking your pregnant belly as he growled in your ear, "do you think you could be pregnant while pregnant, because I'd like to try."

You smacked his chest playfully, "do you think I'm a child bearing machine now, honey?"

"Baby, you're being unfair now, revealing your sexy curves and then not expecting me to be turned on?" he squeezed at your thick thighs, "how about we head back to the villa for 30 minutes?"

You shook your head and stood up, sighing jokingly at your man.

"20 minutes babe?"

"I'll go have fun with my twins now, if you don't mind." you rolled your eyes at him and smiled.

"Nice ass." he winked at you.

As you were walking over to your twins who were building a sandcastle with Grey and Gordon, a weird man approached them.

"Get out of here you kids!" he yelled, "go play somewhere else!!"

Your twins looked at the man in shock. Grey instinctively wrapped her hands around the twins, "w-we're sorry!!!!"

Gordon was trying to reason with the man, but you couldn't hear what he was saying from the distance. Gosh Gordon, speak up for god's sake!

The man was still shouting and waving his hands at Gordon, who looked taken aback by him. By this time, everyone started to notice the commotion and were looking your way.

You finally stomped your way there, "excuse me?? What's going on?"

"GET YOUR STUPID KIDS OUT OF OUR PLAY AREA"

Your brows scrunched as stared at him, "I didn't know this was anyone's area?"

"We're here every week, and this is our frisbee spot!" he glared at you and then to your kids, "get your filthy kids off our area and build your nasty sandcastle somewhere else!!"

You looked at Yuuji and Yuki, they looked at you with tears brimming in their eyes, and grey who was hugging them and trembling at the same time.

Zora, Gauche and Magna came over, "Hey, y/n, what's going on, this man giving you trouble here?"

You signalled a hand to them and took a step towards the man, standing in between him and your kids.

"Listen up here you punk," you stood firm to your ground, arms akimbo, "I'm here enjoying my vacation with my two kids here and my entire black bulls kids, so you better be nice, and share this public space before my heavily pregnant ass yeets you deep into those waters like a frisbee."

"I-I.." the man started muttering.

Your mana started to surround you as your hair started to sway. Your eyes turned a darker tone and your talked with clenched teeth, "I'm warning you. Never mess with an angry preggy lady. Look at these arms I have? I would crush your head and turn it into a frisbee."

Every one was silent and the man was trembling in front of you that you could almost hear his bones shaking inside of him.

"WEW." Your man let out a low whistle from behind you. You turned back and saw that he already carried Yuki and Yuuji in each of his arms, grinning proudly at you, "that's my girl."

The entire of the black bulls were looking at you in awe, you seldom get mad at them because they were all sweethearts, so they never really saw you get this mad before.

"WHOA! YOU'RE SO COOL Y/N!!" Asta shouted.

"Your wife's a scary person captain," Zora joked

"I was kinda scared too!" Magna exclaimed

And all of a sudden they were talking at the same time.

"QUIET." Yami's mana radiated everywhere. Everyone simmered down as you laughed again, seeing how your man was always able to control the chaotic bulls.

He sighed, "baby, I told you, going to the beach with these two monkeys and the entire bulls is gonna be chaotic. I just want a beer right now."

You brought a can of opened beer to him and sat in between your man's legs back at the lounge chair.

"I wish I could have a beer too, after all of that." you watched Yuki and Yuuji running around with Luck and Asta now, enjoying themselves once again.

"Soon," he rubbed his palm on your belly again, "and then we'll have 3 little monkeys running around. Babe, I won't have that many hands to catch all 3 of them,"

You laughed as you leaned against your man's chest, admiring his huge palm over your belly, and placing your hand above his, fingers entwining with each other, watching as both your matching rings glisten under the sunlight.
