Oh, that's the ouroboros severity scale! Shown on a picture of an untangled ouroboros for better clarity.

The scale is used to measure how convoluted something is by comparing it to how far Ouroboros would have its own tail swallowed, a famously complicated situation.

For example, the plot of Back to the Future measures a "holy moly", meaning the snake is only biting the tip of its tail, while the usual tangle of cables is anywhere between "great scott!", aka the middle of its body, and "yeah this is heavy", the base of the neck.
