I just have a small correction. Matt wouldn't be able to meet Slav in Beta Traz because that's not where Matt was held at. Beta Traz was meant to hold one single prisoner. That prisoner being Slav. Matt and other prisoners were likely in one of the many other Prisoner Ships. Not as highly guarded as Beta Traz was.

Some unfinished sketches i did uhh *checks the clock* 2 years ago, when i rewatched an episode of voltron

I will not describe all the stages of grief I went through when I realized what happened and what remained of Voltron, and what was left for these two characters in particular.

I have almost finished watching Voltron in 2023, and this is a hopelessly dead city. I can see all the horrible things that went down in this city. I am simultaneously relieved and saddened by the fact that it's 2023 and the city is long, long left by all its bitter inhabitants. I will not stay here for long, myself. But I will say is that it's a shame that there is practically no Slav/Coran content, when there's so much potential for this ship. Also, people should've known what they were signing for when they began watching Voltron. The protagonists have been stupid and/or inexperienced from the start. This is a show about protagonists stumbling and failing miserably as they go, because they have no idea what they're doing, bringing more trouble onto themselves by being stupid and/or inexperienced, but still managing to pull through by some unimaginable stroke of luck or by somebody else's sacrifice. They are not written badly, it's just their character. The only one who knew what he was doing, Lotor, got murdered for letting his guard down and wanting to do the right thing for once. I find it extremely fascinating. This is how things work in real life, and this is not a kids' show. This is a bitter adult show. It got itself an entirely wrong target audience by drawing too many space asses and letting Shiro pose as a serious character, even for a second. It's tragic, what happened, really.

Finally after all these years I finished watching the Voltrone series

and yes, now Slav is my fave character

Obsessed with the fact that Voltron actually did use alternate realities really well 1 time and then they just. Fuckin. Dropped the ball every time afterwards.

Like, when we first meet Slav in Escape From Beta Traz, he is literally paralyzed by a puddle of water because in some realities he never learned how to swim, and he can’t remember if he did in this reality. Like, that’s a really well done, existentially terrifying interpretation of infinite realities that would’ve worked really well with the whole terrifying monstrous creatures beyond understanding from within the rift concept, but instead they just go with the boring-ass cliche ‘alternate realities are just our world but slightly different’ approach.

Never gonna stop being disappointed by this show.

Klance FFN Idea

After Allura’s death, and in turn Lance receiving his gift, Lance started having vivid dreams. Some are of him being Altean from birth, growing up as Allura’s younger brother and loyal knight. Others, he follows Keith back into space, helping run the Blade along side his husband. This would’ve been fine, if he didn’t retain the memories of those “lives” after he woke up. Thoroughly freaked out, Lance contacts Slav, who explains that he’s tapped into inter dimensional quintessence, and he is “living” his alternate dimension’s lives while he sleeps. Using this knowledge, Lance steps up to lead the Coalition, who partners with the Blade (Coalition running outreach and Blade running military/security) and eventually falls in love with Keith. It’s a little touch and go for a while, since Lance thinks it’s just lingering feelings from another of his selves. He and Slav meet up every so often to talk about his most recent dreams, and find what could be similar between his life and the others. He also gets tips from Slav on how to tell himself from the other Lances.
