Chapter 4 titled ‘the etymology of oblivion’ is now up from my new @skambigbang 2023 fic! I hope you like it! @mazarin01 photography continues to visualize the story in beautiful detail. And I’d be remiss if I didn’t call out my beta @claire.loved.books who has been there every step of the way, helping nurture this story into being. Here’s a teaser for you:
“What do you want?” he growls before pulling back to look Isak square in the eye.
The question stumps Isak. “I… I don’t know,” he answers honestly as he worries his lip raw under the heat of that stare. It is suddenly all very real, very here, very now.
“Have you been with a guy before?” Yeah. Of course. One guy.
“Yeah. Of course. Lots of times.”
“Okay, Mr. Lots-of-times…” he smirks.
The stranger feels good, the parts of him pressed up against Isak feel good. Those very same parts that are now rhythmically grinding into him feel very good. Isak’s eyes close, even though he couldn’t see much in the shadowy interior of the small space. With his eyes shut, it is easier to pretend it is someone else kissing him, grinding up against him. Lighting up his body in a way that won’t betray his true feelings to this stranger. He moans softly, his mind taking over, imagining someone else pressing him against the wall. Those thoughts help to push away the twinge of uncertainty that had started to take root in the pit of his stomach, right alongside some slow burning nausea.

As you might know I joined the SKAM BIGBANG 2023 as an artist.
I got pared with the awesome @alterlove2021 and got to make art for her awesome story. It has been a blast collaborating with her, all the conversations, laughs and creativity we've shared.
I even got to meet her when she were in Oslo this spring.
I have walked around Oslo with my phone and digtal camerea, and dug out photos from my gigantic photo archive to create art for this story. Rewatched quite a bit of SKAM episodes to screenshot the best pictures too.
The result is the photo above (I took and edited the picture and AltErLove2021 added the text) and a series of over 20 photo collages that will be spread around the story as it unfolds.
Go read the story! I promise it's a good one.

NRK is a public broadcaster, and Elias a producer so untested his résumé glows green. That probably explains the rest of it -- but not why he’d give Even another chance after he blew his life and career up so spectacularly. And not why this boy -- this scowling, sharp tongued boy -- would want to sign up to a reality TV show.
Luckily, Even has six weeks trapped on a poor man’s Love Island to figure it out.

Keep Me Warm
Chapter one - For the Best
“Hi again,” Even says when they’re standing in front of each other, his words instantly dissolving into the booming music.
“Hi.” The guy tilts his head up, smiling, then slightly leans forwards. “I’m Isak.”
“Even.”
“Eivind?” Isak frowns, somehow seeming to know that it doesn’t sound quite right.
Even shakes his head, then leans in in turn, closer than Isak has just before, close enough that he can bring his lips to his ear, almost brushing his skin. “Even,” he repeats.
When he pulls back, he sees Isak’s eyelids flutter for a second, his long lashes casting frail shadows onto his cheekbones. He nods and repeats the name to himself. It’s too low for Even to hear him over the music, but he can see by the movement of his lips that Isak got it right this time.
Summary :
This was supposed to be a simple story.
Boy meets boy in a club on a Friday night.
Boys laugh and dance, boys kiss, boys crave each other. And they agree that their story won’t mean any more than that.
But feelings have the unfortunate habit of getting in the way. So when a one night stand turns into a whole weekend and passionate embraces make way for shared confessions, Even thinks this might begin to look like a love story.
Isak doesn’t seem to feel that way.

Isak Valtersen is the world’s best male tennis player. Even Bech Næsheim is not. But he’s ranked #32 in the world, which is impressive enough, and he’s Norway’s favorite. Isak understands why: Even has a friendly face, an iconic headband, and the ability to make every journalist laugh in press, even after a brutal loss. He’s a hometown hero who pours his heart out in every match, and embraces the nickname fans have given him: Bechy with the Good Hair. He doesn’t advance very far in tournaments, if he qualifies, but whenever he does they are always matches to watch. Isak is the world’s best tennis player, but the world is watching Even.
After a chance training arrangement at the US Open, Isak is watching Even too. He doesn’t want to get distracted on his way to a world-record win, but it seems like his heart isn’t giving him a choice.

They move from painting to painting, or: Eva moves from painting to painting, looking at them, commenting here and there, and Noora follows, sparing the paintings quick glances, trying to find something interesting to say, but then her gaze strays back to Eva, like a magnet, she cannot avoid. From the quirks on Eva’s lips, she knows it as well.

Chapter 2 is up from my new @skambigbang 2023 fic! This one is a love letter to all us fans of the show. You’ll see what I mean, I hope you like it! Thanks @mazarin01 for all the inspiration! Here’s a small snippet from this weeks chapter:
These thoughts of Even, of a life they never lived, haunting his days. Those moments when Isak still feels bathed in Even’s warmth even now, months later like the light of a star that’s already died, the brilliance of it is still somehow more real than anything else in his life. He feels like he’s losing touch with reality, this reality, this world without Even, where everything is somehow disjointed and off-kilter. Wrong in some deep fundamental way, a quantum fuck-up so to speak. Not yellow curtains. No. Maybe this is the one fucking world where him and Even don’t end up together and he just happens to be living it.
So instead, he finds himself yearning for this other world, some parallel universe where things are as they should be, right in every way. A world that feels more real each time he finds himself falling into it. Certainty like lead sits heavy in his gut. Things are not supposed to be like this. Things should have been different.

Glücksbringer
Matteo and Jonas are working hard on their follow-up to internet cult favourite game, Technocrime2000, with the help of their new artist, David, but progress is slow. Meanwhile, Luigi19 has a small measure of fame as one of the most popular streamers of the game. With support from his best friend Nauticaljon, Luigi has gathered a dedicated and active fandom. When a new player joins them, and the livestreams change in some very interesting ways, it sets the fandom on fire. Everything seems perfect. But there are problems over the horizon: How can Matteo and Jonas possibly create a follow-up game which matches Technocrime’s cult status when the media seems out to get them? Why do Luigi and Nauticaljon seem so familiar to newcomer ZombieAdam? And what on earth is that troll talking about in Luigi’s comment section?
Chapter One - Matteo is up now! Posting every Friday, the fic is told over 10 weeks (plus an epilogue a few months later) in roughly real time, from June-September 2023. Written for the @skambigbang for 2023.
Many many thanks to @stazyros for the cheerleading, support and incredible beta help. This fic would definitely not be what it is today without her help! Lovely textile art from @dummerjan will be coming in a later chapter as it's a little too spoilery for the earlier chapters. So keep an eye out for that when it appears!

In case anyone finds the back of embroidery as interesting as I do...
This is unusually tidy for me, typically I have way more floats (or however to call it in embroidery, I think that might be more of a knitting term). And I am a big fan of knots, I don't care what the orthodox stance on it is.

He lets himself look at the other photos: five girls, five boys. All young and smiling beside the one. Happy fools, he thinks. Hopes. He takes another long drag of his dying cigarette, and stubs out the remnants against the side of his mug, runs the tip of his finger through the warm stain.
Jesus he gets maudlin when it's late, and god -- he checks his phone, the cracked screen and red battery warning -- it's practically early.
He looks up to meet Elias' encouraging grin. It's still as wide and as genuine as it ever was, at least to any stranger looking on. Even knows though, the lines at the edges of it and the way the light in his eyes is shadowed by more than the lamp. He ought to know, he's the one who put it there, the one to blame. For everything. Always.
"Not really," he says, and there's more than the hour in the weight of it, in the infinitesimal dimming of Elias' smile. "When do we start."
