We could rent a cabin,” Jonas suggests around the thin filter of the joint they’ve been passing back and forth between them. “…Light up and chill for a week.”
“Yeah? You, me and—?”
“Mikael.” Jonas shrugs. “Some of his friends. You remember Elias and Even and those guys, right?”
Or, Isak just graduated his Bachelor’s degree from NTNU and is back in Oslo for the summer. A boys’ cabin trip is arranged - the only issue is that the cabin’s too expensive unless they split it with Jonas’ roommate Mikael and his friends; the extended friend group Isak hasn’t seen in three years. And okay, he might’ve harbored a massive crush on Even back then, but it’s different now, he’s different. Not the same closet-case who used to get tongue-tied around Even.

Final chapter - Next Year
Even had also written to Isak. He had sent him postcards of all the places he had been to, every single week, without exception.

Even had told Isak about every country he went to, every port they stopped in. He had told him about the crew and the friends he had made, about the people travelling on these cruises. On the postcards he had sent him, he told Isak that he missed him. Sometimes in languages Isak didn’t understand. But he knew. Even always concluded these postcards the same way: "I miss you."
Almost not a day had passed without contact between them. But neither of them ever had dared to speak about the last night they had spent together. And what it would mean for them when Even would come back to Oslo.

Chapter 9: Going home
“Isak… Isak...”
He mumbles a “hm?”, struggling to follow Even’s voice to consciousness, slowly drifting awake to the grey light streaming into the bedroom.
“Isak.”
A soft hand on his shoulder, and then Even’s voice, low and sweet again, like coaxing him from sleep. “C’mon, we need to get up.”
“Mm.”
Eyes fluttering closed again, he lets himself revel in the warmth from Even spooning him. Suspects Even drifts off too until there’s a creaking from the door, and then another voice,
“–Yo, sorry to interrupt...”
Even shifts slightly behind him, and forcing his eyes open, Isak spots Mikael in the doorway, peeking his head in, his voice hushed,
“Uh, you guys need to–”
“Yeah, I know,” Even rasps, “...we’re up.”
“It’s 9:15, we're leaving in–”
“We’re up, Mik.”

When the all girls' school pulls out of their combined production of Romeo and Juliet, St. Lawrence’s Academy must scramble to decide how to proceed. Sander, last year's lead, is a shoo-in for Romeo, but little do they know that Robbe, a transfer student on scholarship, has dreams of being an actor. Suddenly the stage is full of sound and fury, signifying…everything. Personal insecurities and misunderstandings abound and what should be a fun, enjoyable extracurricular turns into a passive aggressive battlefield of sniping and bickering. Will they be able to get it together before Opening Night?

“Only 98?” Robbe questioned, disappointed.
“980?” Sander tried but Robbe still didn’t looked pleased. “9800? 9,8 million? …” Sander continued but eventually he hit the answer Robbe was waiting for: infinite.
“Infinite” Robbe repeated before connecting his lips to Sander’s. Even an infinite number of kisses could not dull the sparkles that he felt in his head every time Sander’s soft lips touched his own. He would never get bored of this feeling.

Sometimes people in love can become like strangers. Matteo’s sure it can’t happen to him and David. Until the shimmer happens. Suddenly David doesn’t even recognize his name, Sara’s his girlfriend again, and no one knows he’s gay. Matteo needs to figure it out but he isn’t scared this time. He’s a different person now with a new confidence. If he can’t get back to his own life, maybe he can recreate it (preferably with less angst this time).
Here’s chapter one (of five) of my SKAM Big Bang fic for 2022. This year, I went with Druck and it’s based on a prompt I saw ages ago where one character doesn’t remember the other. It’s been an interesting experience, trying to work out how that might go and I got to do a lot of reminiscing and thinking about what one might change if we got the chance to do something all over again. This is the result.
The lovely wallpaper was made by Alex @lizzoefeutute - go give some love to this artist and see what else there is on offer! Also, many thanks must go to the wonderful @stazyros who agreed to beta read this and I’m sure didn’t know what she was getting into with my weird ways. Chapter seven - Some Things Are Meant to Be
Even stayed there, as close as he could be, softly brushing his nose against Isak’s before pressing their foreheads together.
Isak closed his eyes, thinking back to the last time they had stood just like that, forehead to forehead, holding each other close. He thought back to that evening they had spent together over a year before, wandering around Oslo, drinking beers and eating pølse. Talking, getting to know each other again. He remembered that moment, their embrace in front of that Majorstuen apartment building.
He remembered the question Even had asked him then.
“Are you happy?”
Was he happy now?
