When I got this girl in a bundle I thought she would be beyond help. I’m not pulling anyones work apart here but she wasn’t in a very good state. . Her scalp had some very big holes probably from removing the old hair. She was then re rooted and glue had been poured into her head… which seeped through the holes and set hard like crusty rock 😱😱😱😱 . The glue that was used was all over her head on the outside too and took me three hours to remove with non acetone nail varnish remover. . I then went onto @dhemporium to see if I could find the perfect match hair as her scalp was so sparse and the perfect match ended up being trend setter nylon. . To avoid the holes I made a new parting between them so not to re open them . She then had a slight touch up to the eyes, fresh lip paint and some blush . Her eyelashes had been glued in so hard so I trimmed them and neatened them up as best I could. . I think she’s turned out quite well in the end. . Do you like the hair colour ? . Fairy Hair Sindy, 1996 💖🧚🦋

She was one of my dream dolls as a kid! I used to have Sindy doll stickers and she was on one of the stickers. Her long, dreamy and glittery hair was all I wanted.

So I'm glad I added her to my collection! She was quite hard to find and was rather expensive, but no regrets! Her hair is definitely very pretty, but also you have to be very careful, because tensile tangles easily, so I avoid touching her hair too much 😂

Pink Haired Sindy Doll Mystery

Hey guys. so yesterday me and my Mom went to run some erends and I visited some of the local charity shops while there. I ended up getting a few dolls including a Sindy doll with pink hair.

This is her before I washed her and her hair:

And this is her after:

Had to change the curls at the front since I found it frustrating trying to replicate the exact curls

Anyway, after cleaning her up, I tried looking up “pink haired Sindy” online to identify her, but the only models I could find in image search were pink haired dolls with the childlike 60/70s design. I searched up on eBay and the closest I could find was this listing for one from the early 2000s:

She does seem similar to the one I have (same shade of pink hair, same slightly bent arms, same face/body mold etc) but this one has a painted on corset.

So based on all this, I’m beginning to suspect this is ethier;

A) a really, really convincing Sindy knock off or

B) a very rare pink hair Sindy doll from the 2000s.

If an of you guys on here can identify her, then let me know! any info you have is much appreciated! 💖
