the sounds of skin slapping, strings of low groans, and high-pitched cries of his name echo in your bedroom. you shouldn't have let him in, because this time, you know he'll just break your heart.

his hands grasp onto your thighs which are wrapped around his side roughly, the feeling of your skin under his touch is all too familiar. he misses it. it's not the first time he's knocked on your door, the same look on his face as you stare into his crestfallen eyes.

"but i'll fuck you till you go numb"

you soft hands move up to cup his cheeks tenderly with that adoring look in your eyes that just make him melt every time. he avoids your gaze and pins both of your wrists above your head. your touch is too pure, too loving for him, he's undeserving of it with the way he's treated you, he hates how much you love him. he hates how much he loves you.

he wishes you weren't so perfect, so sweet, so gentle to him. how you ask him to make love to you and he fucks you instead. but you love it either way, you love anything that is simon.

"tonight i only want lust"

his grip on your wrists loosens and you seize the opportunity to reach to him, pulling him close to press your lips against his. as hard as he tries not to, his lips move on their own, kissing you back desperately with passion that has been building up for months away from you, your touch. as he pulls away from you, tears spill down your cheeks as you turn your head away from him.

"shit, am i hurting?" his thrusts slow and his fingers tilt your chin to face him, his eyes scanning you over. shaking your head fervently, you look up at him through your wet lashes, "no, i-i've just missed you so much, simon... i love you."

"don't talk about love"

his movements are gentle as he wipes the tears from your flushed cheeks, he doesn't want to make you cry. he wants to hold you, to love you, to kiss you. but he knows if he does, he'll never be able to leave your embrace ever again. he knows that you can't live without him, and he hates to admit it, but so can't he, you're his weakness.

but you know he'll come back to you, just like he always does.

Frogcabbage March favourites

Nobody asked for this but I thought I'd share some of the great albums I've been listening to a lot in March.

Coldplay - Parachutes (2000) - Forever a favourite album, it never fails to invoke such a sense of melancholy and nostalgia. Best song: Trouble.

Keane - Strangeland (2012) - Another one of my absolute favourite albums of all time. I've been listening to Keane a lot recently because I find they're really great for dealing with 'big' feelings. This album is wonderfully nostalgic and forlorn. Best song: Watch how you go.

Gordon Lightfoot - If you could read my mind (1970) - Such an underrated artist and album! It's got all the tenderness of John Denver with the wonderful acoustic talent of Bob Dylan. Best song: If you could read my mind.

The Fynches - Live from the Field (2022) - A really great find that I came across in a large acoustic playlist. They're super underrated as a band and I love their retro feel. Best song: Absent worlds.

Simon and Garfunkel - Sounds of Silence (1966) - Ok you got me, I'm a mega S&G fan - I LOVE this album and I will never be beating the acoustic/folk loving allegations. Best song: Leaves that are green.

Infinity Song - Metamorphosis (2023) - SUPER UNDERRATED. This band is incredible. Their harmonies work together so wonderfully and the lyrics are so poignant and deep. Best song: Metamorphosis.
