Shwe shwe fabric!! When your husband manages to score some beautiful fabric, whilst on a work trip❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. How did I manage to score such an amazingly thoughtful husband? I've never even heard of shwe shwe fabric! Apparently it was produced in Manchester originally and exported to Africa. Now it is produced IN South Africa by the @dagamatextiles under the #threecats trademark. It is heavily starched, which in my mind is making it a choice for precise piecing, as it shouldn't move or distort when cut and sewn? I can not wait to play with it, but I have something I need to finish first. Shweshwe is a cotton African print fabric produced in South Africa. The more I read about this fabric the more I love it. A lot of Xhosa women in South Africa get married in thr most beautiful wedding dresses that incorporate shwehshwe.
