I saw a TikTok that talked about the blond wig phenomenon where you can stick a blong long haired wig on brunette male actor and he immediately becomes hotter and I've never expierenced this more than with the guy who plays Aemond Targareyn.
His normal everyday picture and it's like eh, whatever. But stick that guy in a blond wig, give him an eye patch and make him morally grey at best and all of a sudden I'm like 'why is this guy so attractive?! what is my damage'
Seriously it's giving me whiplash and I don't appreciate it.

Watched the first episode of House of the Dragon and was distracted because every time Damon Targaryen came on screen all I could think was that his hairstyle looked more elvish that Elrond's, and Celebrimbor's in the new the Rings of Power show.
Also I doubt HBO dropped 1 billion on this show so obvi a half decent wig wasn't out of Amazon's budget. Just saying.
And yes, I know I keep harping on the hair, but elves were canonically obsessed with hair, to put it bluntly. I mean Glorfindel died because a Balrog dragged him over a cliff BY HIS HAIR. Meaning it was long/ free flowing enough (during battle nonetheless) for a giant creature of shadow and flame to wrap his hand around it. Legit nothing is added to a story by changing this hair detail other than making the elves look less ethereal and other-worldly which is in contradiction of Tolkien elves which a supposedly huge fan of the movies/books/ Tolkien would know (as Bezos and the show runners claim they are).
For fuck's sake Lee Pace fought orcs in The Hobbit with a glorious free flowing waterfall of beautiful blond/silver hair to his butt. He looked fierce and deadly but also like art in motion which is the Tolkien aesthetic for elves so...yeah.
Sorry, rant done. This one is just really sticking in my craw.
