not only am i annoyed about the taylor swift situation, i'm annoyed about my phone
the battery percentage is dropping incredibly fast throughout the day. right now it's at 28% and i barely used my phone today.
I went to the apple store to get a battery replacement and they told me i don't need one because the "maximum capacity" of my battery is 99% which means it's great.
so i'm like. okay why is my battery life so shitty then? and he pulls up the screen that shows battery percentage use by app but this is entirely useless because all this shows is the percentage of use relative to other apps. if i only used twitter it would say 100% but that doesn't mean twitter is crashing my phone.
then we turned off background apps. my phone was at 55%. i left the store. i used it for 10 to 15 minutes. battery dropped to 43%. i went back because wtf.
got another dude. he seemed actively hostile and kept telling me my battery is great and just kept repeating that "programs running in the background" are tanking my battery life and but the only proof he had of this was pokemon go, which uses my location constantly and has been set that way for years. so i'm like YEAH BUT WHY ALL OF A SUDDEN?
no answers. nothing. can't help. I keep saying this is NOT NORMAL and he insists it is and they can replace the battery if i want but it’s not going to do anything. so i say “my only choices are getting a new battery that won’t help or...getting another phone then?” and he’s like “those aren’t your only two choices” but HE WOULDN’T GIVE ME ANY OTHER CHOICES OR ANSWERS
you can’t tell me they don’t know, that they can’t look through your phone and figure it out. come on.

i downloaded iOS 16 and macOS ventura on my phone and macbook respectively, so im here to share about some of the cool stuff!
ios:
the lockscreen is POGGERS, but i still have no idea how to put people in front of the font and stuff. i'll probably figure that out later, but i'm happy with this rn. the font options go from nice and aesthetic to slightly deranged, with weird numbers and all. the widgets were a good idea.
music player!!
the music player has two modes. one more compressed and compact:
and one more bigger zoomed-in version of the album art!
this is a really nice touch for people who are into album art and like seeing them, and the compact method works with those who want to be a little more private about what theyre listening to. theres also a little equaliser on the top right of the progress bar right next to the song title, which i think is pretty neat!
other stuffystuff:
overall, the animations seem a lot more natural, and i really like that. it makes me feel more comfortable using my phone, and it feels as if it's brand new. this just shows how much software affects the experience, and apple outdid themselves this time. although, there are a few slight animation errors that i've already informed them about, so hopefully they do something soon.
the scrolling on the home page is almost the same as iOS15, but instead the dots at the bottom have a search function when the phone is still. i think for small handed people like me would be okay to use it, but i'm not really sure this function is needed since all we can do is just swipe down for spotlight.
but when we DO swipe down, there's a new animation that makes the search button at the bottom of the screen come up to be the search bar itself. pretty cool ngl
the fixed app row at the bottom of the homescreen seems even closer to the edge, either that or my eyes are failing me. there's no battery percentage yet, but hopefully the actually update has it :')
the hold picture thing isn't working for me as for now, but that's maybe bc i'm on an older phone. can beta testers who use newer phones tell me if it works on yours?
the fitness app was a good thing i feel. im always super unmotivated to exercise, so i think seeing the rings themselves can help me force myself to exercise everyday :D

ok first things first, ventura is BIG. like big BIG update. 12gb???? my computer was having a difficult time to download everything, but i eventually got it downloaded. and the biggest thing in this update:

stage manager actually boosted my productivity in class, a LOT. my moots know that we use our computers a lot in class, and stage manager helped me not only focus, but do my work more efficiently. i used to be a very everything-full-screen person. i would put all of my windows in full screen mode and travelling between them was a little bit torturous. but stage manager somewhat found a middleground for people who love full screen and minimised windows. they made it so that your current window was big enough to feel like it's full screen, but you still have the stage manager at the side for you to switch your windows whenever you want to.
however, it was a little difficult to navigate at first. i kept opening windows that i wasnt supposed to and i had no idea how to group tabs and separate them. hopefully the feedback i gave to apple will allow them to give more direct instructions on how to use the stage manager.
oh. that's pretty much everything. well for me at least, most of the update was an aesthetic upgrade, but self performance could also be boosted! i'm not sure about other features, but these few are the ones that really stuck with me!

Prayer - March 6, 2023
Last night, nagcha-charge yung phone ni daddy and nagloloko yung charger niya. I was going to fix it and check his battery percentage when I saw a notif from Bernz. At that point, I felt like a part of me crumbled.
Last night, I was in my room and I was praying. I was asking God bakit ganoon. And I told the Lord, I felt like the enemy is attacking my past self. I felt like Satan is targeting all my past hurts and those things that really broke me before.
Today, I was led to 1 Kings 10 to 11. Here, makikita na si Solomon, marami na naging baby girls. Makikitang Solomon has been led astray by his love towards different women and this, of course, angered the Lord. The Lord wants to take the kingdom away from Solomon and his descendants but He won’t for the sake of David.
I see here, (1) the faithfulness of a father or a parent affects the life of his children. A parent’s journey with God would affect the lives of his children. Right now, Father God, I don’t know really know what to feel. I don’t understand why my father still sticks with her after everything that has happened. I still don’t understand why she won’t leave us alone. And my dad’s journey is affecting me. With this, I am praying that You heal all the broken wounds I have in my heart. I recognize, Lord, that the issue with Bernz and her family has affected me. I was not directly part of the hit, but I was really affected. And there are broken parts of me that are broken because of it. I pray that You heal me from it. I pray that You mend these broken parts and that You show me how to deal with this. I pray for my father here on Earth. Ilayo Mo siya sa kahit anong uri ng temptation, and please, deal with him.
(2) Your faithfulness God transcends our lives. David has long been dead when these issues with Solomon took place. In fact, looking at it, I feel like no one would judge or even bat an eyelash if you became too angry na binawi Mo lahat ng sinabi Mo. But no, You loved David too much to even take back what You said. Even in Your anger and in Your hurt, You still love us. I think this is a bit connected to (1) in a sense na You don’t want to set a precedent na You can back on Your word. Hindi lang siya “Eh nasabi Ko na eh.” No, it’s more than that. It’s more of “I made a promise and I love you too much to break it.” It’s an assurance na my heart is safe in Your hands.
(3) God is Love. You experience all these emotions. In fact, thinking about it now, all emotions we experience comes from You. It’s kind of divine to think about actually. When I love someone, I can think, God experienced this kind of love too. When I’m sad and brokenhearted, I can find comfort in the fact na ahh my Jesus felt this. This is why He is close to the brokenhearted. He felt this first and He doesn’t want me to be alone. Going back to the point na God is love. God feels emotions: love, anger, hurt. But God is not anger. God is not pain. God is love. Above all, He chooses to love. Above all, He is love.
Father God, when I am broken and hurting and in pain and in moments of my life when I want to do revenge, help me choose You. Help me choose to love. May the spirit of brokenness leave and remind me that You have restored me and that You make all things new. Remind me of Your Word.
Thank You for this. I praise You. May You be honored in my life today.
