Both hands on the clock point at 12 again, signaling Y/N’s departure from the NCT dorms. As their newest and youngest member, Y/N was thought of as the sweetest, purest, and on top of all, most respectable member of NCT. He graduated Neo High with honors, was friendly on campus and auditioned for SM only once, unlike the sea of trainees who had to audition for more than three times. Because of this, he was viewed as this innocent prince once SM told the boys that he would be joining NCT. But, just like any cliché scenario, none of them knew of what Y/N did in the dead of night, when the moonlight shone on the city and no one knew him, not even by his silhouette.

✦ 𝙨𝙞𝙭 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 ✦

“Has anyone noticed Y/N during the weekends recently? He usually isn't sleeping on his bed when he’s supposed to be.” Shotaro asks, genuinely worried about him.

“He probably just goes to the comfort room and stays in there for the whole night or something, no biggie.” Jeno says sarcastically, shoving a mouthful of popcorn into his mouth as he blabs his mouth.

“Hm,” Jisung mumbles, skeptical of Y/N’s actions, “there is definitely something up with him.” Jisung wasn’t one to get jealous often but with the addition of Y/N into NCT, the beloved, innocent, has-never-committed-a-sin Y/N, the attention wasn’t on him anymore. He was a tad bit jealous, but he would never admit that out loud.

“So what do you wanna do about it then?” Jeno replies, still staring straight at the television playing Titanic, “Confront him about it? It’s not like he’s gonna budge. What are you gonna do then, force him to tell you? Huh?”

“Quit being an asshole Jen.” Jaemin slaps Jeno sitting beside him, a frown on his face.

“How about we just, you know, pretend to sleep and wait till he gets up and leaves, then follow him?” Sungchan suggests, equally as worried as Shotaro. Both the former and the latter know how hard it is to be new members of a group that has already debuted. So, they felt the need to let Y/N know that he didn’t have to keep leaving the dorms, for an escape or whatever.

“Then it’s decided,” Jeno speaks up, finally peeling his eyes off the television, “tonight, we find out what the fuck Y/N has been doing for the past 6 weeks.”

✦ 𝙨𝙞𝙭 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 ✦

Y/N rises up from his bed, making extra effort not to make a noise. He grabs the hickory duffle bag from under his bed and unzips it to check if he’s had everything for his night out ready. He zips it back just seconds after and drapes it over his shoulder, getting ready to leave. He pulls his hoodie up and ties his black converses before opening the wooden door and leaving the Dream Dorms, oblivious to the boys’ plans.

Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, Sungchan, Shotaro and Jisung are led from the warmth of their dorms into the cold autumn night as they follow the figure wearing a black hoodie in front of them. The 8 boys walk for what seems like hours, crossing street to street, going through alley to alley, main road to main road as they do nothing but stay in silence and tail the (H/C) boy in front of them. They don’t know how many neon signs they’ve passed by now, only noticing how red ones become more and more evident as they venture deeper into the city.

“I think we’re in the red light district.” Haechan blurts, being met with shushes from the 7 other boys he was with. This doesn’t go unnoticed by Y/N of course, who pauses and turns around, only to look at a dark, empty street behind him. Y/N furrows his brows, confused, as he resumes his amble towards his destination.

Hiding behind garbage bins, the 8 boys sit in disgust as they hide from Y/N, scared of being caught halfway through their stalking session. Haechan peeks his head out and speaks up once again, but this time quietly, “The coast is clear.” All 8 stand up synchronized, noses scrunched as they glare at Haechan.

“No shit sherlock,” Chenle whisper-shouts, hues of scarlet and crimson decorating his face, “it’s red everywhere! Of course we’re in the red light district!”

The others giggle as they stare at Chenle.

“No, you dumbass,” Haechan replies calmly, “a red light district is like a place full of clubs and.. you know…” He trails off as the other seven’s brows furrow.

“Let’s not jump into conclusions,” Sungchan cuts him off, remaining positive, “let’s just keep following him.”

They sneak behind Y/N once again, trying their best not to get caught. It was only a minute or two before they saw Y/N turn a corner. The 8 slowly creeped up on the opening of the alley, just in time to see Y/N enter a building with an indigo sign, which stood out in the sea of bright, neon red signs.

“You don’t think… he’s a…” Jaemin spoke up as all of them shared a glance. The eight of them stood in silence, too scared to speak up, under the illusion that Y/N may be a male stripper. That wouldn’t be a problem but he was… 17.

“Only one way to find out.”

♪♪♪♪...

The deafening music boomed from the speakers, resonating into the indigo aesthetic of the club. Contrary to the word, this side of the club was the opposite of aesthetic: sweaty bodies stuck together, giving the 8 boys an unsettling feeling. They had almost started contemplating on leaving the said club, but not before Jaemin spots a quiet section, free of the sweaty bodies grinding against each other. It wasn’t free of people, per se, as there were a few people making out here and there, but it definitely wasn’t as congested as the indigo dance floor they had previously stood on. They saw vacant seats at the bar and, just like anyone who had been walking and hiding for 30 minutes, took a seat. All 8 of them had their backs turned away from the bar as a familiar voice spoke up.

“What can I get for you?” Y/N asks, a smile forced on his face. Y/N’s blue velvet suit shimmers under the spinning disco ball, exhibiting various accents of blue. Azure, cobalt and lapis and sapphire compliment Y/N’s face as he looks down, glass in one hand and towel on the other, wiping. He’s wearing nothing but a blue velvet blazer as a top, chest out as if he was as the beach. The boys turn around, mouths agape and unable to speak. They lock eyes with Y/N when the latter looks up due to the long, uncomfortable silence, eyes wide open, his body frozen in shock.

Attempting to cover his exposed chest, Y/N drops the glass and immediately places his hands flat on his chest, the feeling of fear, embarrassment and surprise devouring him.

“Y/N what the fuck?” Jeno blows up, completely losing his self control, “What the fuck are you doing in this… this.. strip club? You’re sev-”

Y/N unsticks his palms from his chest and re-sticks it onto Jeno’s mouth, shushing the older. “Shhh. let’s…” he pans his eyes from left to right, staring into his hyung’s disappointed faces, “let’s talk outside. Wait for me.”

The boys head towards the exit as they pass by the cramped dance floor once again, the silver disco ball spinning endlessly above them. They exit the club, the chilly breeze of the autumn night slapping them on the face once again as they step out. They wait in silence, leaning on the wall, occasionally staring at the indigo sign above them. Just as Chenle was about to break the silence, the cushioned doors of the club open slowly, revealing a boy in a more decent outfit. Y/N steps out, head burning holes into the stone floor. As soon as the doors of the club seal shut, all 8 of them went into chaos.

“What the fuck?”

“Is this what you’ve been doing for the past 6 weeks?”

“What are you doing with your life?”

“I can’t believe you’re actually a fucking stripper. What made SM recruit a stripper?”

He let himself get scolded but got caught off guard when Jisung uttered those words. “Wait, stripper?” Y/N looks up from the now-molten floor, eyebrows furrowed, tears pricking the corner of his eyes, “I— how could you even call me that?”

“Don’t act like you didn't have your chest on display before we got there.” Jisung replies, disgust written on his face, “Is this really what you've been doing for the past month and a half? Whoring yourself out? I guess you love people’s attention on your body don’t you?”

The gates of the dam that had held his tears finally gave out, spilling endlessly as Y/N tried to find his words, “I— that’s just the uniform for us bartenders… I work in a club so… we’re required to—”

“Exactly Y/N!” Jaemin shouts, “You’re 17 for fucks sake, why the fuck are you working at a bar? You’re a fucking idol! You're going to be publicly announced as a new member next month! What if people start recognizing you, huh? Then what?”

“I-I’m sorry hyungs. I—” tears gushed from Y/N’s orbs, coating his face, “I just did this for money.” Disgusted looks turned to looks of confusion as the 8 boys stared at Y/N, puzzled.

“M-my mom is in the hospital, she’s dealing with stage iii breast cancer and,” Y/N says, shaking, unable to complete a sentence without stopping, “and my family couldn’t afford the hospital bills, and the company wasn’t paying me yet– and I– I couldn’t wait any longer so when I saw a poster one day, looking for a bartender, I applied and lied about my age. Hyungs I’m really sorry, I- I didn’t do it because- because I liked putting my body on display. To be honest I was really uncomfortable but– but I would do anything for my mom and—”

Y/N pauses as he feels a warmth envelope him, curing his heart’s hypothermia. “We’re sorry. You know we can always lend you a hand, right?” Jaemin says, regretting his thoughts. Renjun adds to the two boys hugging, then Shotaro, then Chenle, and soon enough, all 9 of them are one; all hugging it out in a giant fluff ball, in the aged alleyway under the moonlight.

“I’m sorry,” Jisung states, voice softer as ever, “for calling you that. And, I know your mom is strong, she’ll get through this.”

Y/N felt warmer, and suddenly, under the moonlight, all his worries and doubts vanished. Nothing was more calming than a hug from the 8 boys he loved the most. They stayed like that for as long as Y/N needed, the moonlight’s luminescence lingering in the air.

Kamen Rider Fourze Episodes 17-32

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No! It's the planetarium dude!

So, I'm in the second arc of Fourze and I'm still not happy. I'm not as salty as the last time, but I'm still not that happy with this season.

The "middle-arc" posts are always more difficult to write, and since I don't have a lot to say this will probably be way shorter than usual. After all, it's the end of the year and the last thing I wanna do is spend a couple of hours writing negative things about something.

One thing I need to give credit is that this second part had less down points than the introductory arc, I personally don't have any high points, but it was an improvement. I had moments that got me rolling my eyes basically every episode, but I would say the only things that let me legitimately down this time around were episodes 19, 20, 25, 26, and how things ended in episode 32.

I don't like episodes 19 and 20 because I could care less about that jealousy drama going around, I had a few Phillip vs Shotaro flashbacks on this episode for some reason and that just made me hate on Kengo a little bit more. 25 and 26 were flawed to me because they were focusing on the wrong thing for such an important moment as a graduation story, they were also cowards and didn't let Miu and Shun go and missed an opportunity to give a lesson that isn't just because you're separated that it means your friendship is broken, especially at this time and age.

And 32 lacks for many many reasons. First is using the power of friendship to bring back someone from the dead. It makes sense that they're using it in this show? Yes. Does it make it any less of a cheap and easy move? Absolutely no. Then we have the issue of making a Horoscope appear, in some very interesting circumstances, but ditch him right after two episodes. And like, I get it that this will probably be the fate of any other Horoscope that appears after this, but this was the dude that was being built to be Meteor's final boss, and he lasts for only ONE STORY. He'ss not even defeated by the one who was more eager to defeat that specific general. This was supposed to be a climax for Meteor but who ends up on top is Fourze, who gains a new form that is supposed to be his strongest form ever and we're nowhere near the finale yet. 32 is a very disappointing ending to this arc and a very disappointing conclusion to the story episode 31 started, this was also a missed opportunity to get rid of Libra who's doing extra hours at this point.

But thankfully this arc didn't have just bad things to talk about. To starters, we had one of the most interesting things that was seeing a student becoming a Horoscope and acting as a general for a good portion of this arc. I know that for 48 episodes, not all 12 Horoscopes can be revived and play a significant role, and maybe if his participation wasn't so big we could have more Horoscopes being revived and not let that to happen in a rushed way during the final stretch, but I'm glad we got to see a glimpse of what we could get on a bigger season or if the show had stand-alone episodes rather than two-parters, and besides, his participation was pretty damn good, I loved to hate him.

The other positive point was Ryusei's addition to the cast. This doesn't mean I don't have problems with him, in fact, I have many, but I appreciate that he was there. The dude can't keep his cover to save his life, and he does a lot of dumb shit, but at least he takes away the focus from Gentaro sometimes which is good because it's less time I spent hating him. I also like this little duo they set up with him and Tomoko, for some weird reason it works, I wish we had seen they doing more with this combo.

This pretty much sums up all I had to say story-wise. They introduced some characters I would love to see again and everything, but this isn't the end of the show so I won't complain about them going missing after their first appearance.

Before I wrap up here's the mandatory paragraph where I complain about the designs of the suits. Fourze is ridiculous and he continues to be ridiculous in the two new forms he gained, Magnet makes him look like an egg, and Cosmic is just horrible overall with those new wing details and the chest panel, also that sword weapon is very ugly. I've grown to like Meteor's basic form, even though I still think the belt is horrible and the aesthetic decision of making him summon planets is quite cringe-worthy sometimes, but I like the black and blue combination just right, the Meteor Storm for on the other hand... that thing looks awful, and the staff thing that releases a Beyblade out is also terrible. But he's way better than any of Fourze's forms so I'll consider it a positive.

And now this is really the end, like I said, not a whole lot to talk about, but at least I'm optimistic about the final portion, I know I'll get angry when the power of friendship card is used again in the final battle, but I'm already mentally preparing myself for that. My Favourite Character From Every Anime I’ve Ever Seen

Oh my god I’ve been waiting so long to make this! Right, so this post is exactly what you see in the title, but I’m gonna lay down some rules first:

Movies and stuff are allowed

I will only be including things that I have listed as completed on MAL

Generally, this can be considered one entry per franchise, so for example not every season of Kinmosa will get a favourite character – it’ll just be my favourite Kinmosa character

However, there will be exceptions to this rule, namely JoJo but you’ll see others too

That’s it for rules. This is done in the order of me going down my MAL, which means it’ll technically be in alphabetical order, though for some things I’ll stick to their localised title which will destroy the alphabetical order but it’s the easiest way for me to do it. Frankly I ain’t really gonna make much effort to justify any of my choices because fucking hell would that take a long time and not be worth the effort. Besides pictures won over no pictures so this post is already really long and I don’t want to make it even longer.

Alright, we ready to go? If you’re still not clear on the rules then just, shut up and read and you’ll find out.

Akanesasu Shoujo – Asuka Tsuchimiya

Not a brilliant start to this list lol. But she’s definitely the most memorable and well developed of all the cast, plus she’s voiced by my fuckin girl Tomoyo Kurosawa. And I mean technically Seriousuka is still Asuka Tsuchimiya so I’m getting one of the other best characters from this show too.

Akira – Shotaro Kaneda

I’ve only seen this once, thought it was pretty good, liked Kaneda but didn’t even remember his first name is Shotaro so like.

Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de – Tejirov

Gear is literally Sonic but this dude was way funnier

Assassination Classroom – Nagisa Shiota

I’ve only seen season 1 and some of season 2 but Nagisa was neat, liked his aesthetic.

Blue Exorcist – Kuro

Ngl I watched this show one time around 6 years ago and I can only remember 4 of the characters and the cat was my favourite one.

Asagao to Kase-san – Yui Yamada

She a cutie.

Asobi Asobase – Hanako Honda

She has the cutest design and funniest voice.

Banana Fish – Shorter Wong

Shorter has the privilege of fucking dying before the show and all of its characters turn to shit. Actually Sing is pretty good for the whole thing, even when the rest of it turns shit, but Shorter was better.

Black Rock Shooter – Black Rock Shooter

Black Rock Shooter

Blend S – Hideri Kanzaki

Funny meme boy voiced by Sora Tokui, one of the hottest characters on this list, pretty funny.

Boku no Pico – CoCo

I’m sorry everyone.

Citrus – Yuzu Aihara

Definitely the best part of the show, love that she has so many different outfits and hairstyles too.

Comic Girls – Tsubasa Katsuki

Love me a good bit of shounen and short-haired waifus, plus blue is my favourite character, so she’s like the most fun character in this show.

Death Note – L Lawliet

Is there anyone whose favourite character isn’t L?

Dragon Ball – Future Trunks

Eh I’m lumping the entire Dragon Ball franchise under one entry. Future Trunks is best boy by far, great character, incredible design, unforgettable introduction, such a badass, etc.

Elfen Lied – Kurama

Every character in this show was complete shit, but I felt he was the least shit and actually had something of an arc and decent stakes in the narrative which is always nice.

Endro – Yulia Chardiet

Pretty sure there’s no official romanization of her name so that spelling could be wrong. Anyway! She’s definitely got the best design of the cast and while Mei is voiced by Inori Minase it’s not like her cutest voice whereas Yusha always sounds cute so. Genki idiot MCs aren’t usually my faves in this type of show but idk Yusha’s just a lot more endearing than the rest of them.

Flip Flappers – Cocona Kokomine

Right so here’s the deal, of like the three possible characters I would realistically choose here, Cocona’ s probably the least well written in that she has the greatest amount of not well written moments. So I thought if not Cocona, my favourite must be Papika, then I remembered Yayaka existed and she’s pretty great though. But then I kinda thought about the fact that just because she has the most not good moments, doesn’t mean I didn’t really appreciate her good moments. Cocona is why Flip Flappers is so good and her journey of self discovery is really cool and relatable and stuff, I love her. Really miss her glasses. Fullmetal Alchemist – Ling Yao/Greed

Really cool character, loved his arc, this guy’s really fun to watch and very unique among the Homunculi.

Fushigi na Somera-chan – Shizuku Tendo

Pretty sure she’s the one who said homosexuality is a sin, and that’s a funny line in an anime.

Gakkougurashi – Kurumi Ebisuzawa

Absolute waifu goddess, shovels are fun and her design is brilliant.

Day Break Illusion – Meltina Melvis

All of the main characters were really insufferable and forgettable a lot of the time so this kinda cute minor character without enough screentime to be annoying and also is voiced by Nao Touyama kinda has to be the best one.

Gochuumon wa Usaki Desu Ka? – Chino Kafuu

Kafuu Chino is a funny name, she’s absolutely adorable and funny, Inori Minase’s best ever vocal performance, she’s got great chemistry with all of the characters, and most of all, Mahou Shoujo Kafuu Chino.

Cells at Work – White Blood Cell U-1146

Red Blood Cell’s great and platelets are so adorable but this dude’s just too much fun all the time, it’s really cute how he kind of falls for Red Blood Cell as well and stuff, I loved him.

Kiniro Mosaic – Aya Komichi

Kinmosa is the anime that got me back into anime after like a 2 or 3 year hiatus and Aya was immediately the most fun character for me and also the best written in terms of like being a person, she’s still just a tsundere but I love her.

Henkei Shoujo – Unnamed Main Character

Yeah I cannot for the fucking life of me find this girl’s name or seiyuu or anything about her. I just know that she’s the cutest character in the show anyway, has the luxury of not transforming so is always cute, and wears a very pretty sundress in which she looks beautiful.

Hibike Euphonium – Kumiko Oumae

Duh. If you’ve ever heard me talk about Eupho you fucking know that I love Kumiko. I know I’m going overboard on italics here but I can’t exaggerate how fucking brilliant she is. I’ve described Kumiko as the most human character I’ve ever seen in anime and I still stand by that, she’s so amazingly well written all the time. Even in season 2 when her relationship dynamics become a bit quite not what I wanted to happen she was still well written and stuff. And of course, Tomoyo Kurosawa’s performance as Kumiko is the best vocal performance I’ve heard in any anime, so yeah Kumiko’s great. Worried for Chikai no Finale.

Liz and the Blue Bird – Mizore Yoroizuka

Is this cheating? Eh, nah, Hibike Euphonium isn’t in the title. I could actually cheat and mention Kumiko again, or give a shoutouts to Reina who plays a more active role than Kumiko, but just in the context of Liz alone, ignoring the rest of Eupho, Mizore’s hella the best. Absolute cutie, love her, love that movie, love Euphonium.

Hinamatsuri – Anzu

Definitely the best thing about the entire show, Anzu’s arc is really well written and emotional and stuff.

Kuroko’s Basketball – Ryota Kise

He’s so fucking coooooooooooooooool oh my god, fuckin perfect copy is hype as shit. He’s got a lot more chill than the rest of the Generation of Miracles so he was immediately a bit more likeable and it helps that he gets his game against Aomine in season 1 because like it means that this is the first time we’re rooting for a Generation of Miracles member (other than Kuroko I guess) and stuff he’s so fun. Definitely best blond boy ever

Howl’s Moving Castle – Howl

I don’t remember this movie tbh, I watched it once, kinda confused by it, it seems good, Howl was pretty hot and stuff, the end.

Iroduku: The World in Colours – Hitomi Tsukishiro

Shit character but she’s moe as fuck.

Boarding School Juliet – Weslia Chartreux

Holy shit remember this show? I didn’t. It was fine but wow I completely forgot it happened.

Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon – Miss Kobayashi

Tohru, Kanna and Kobayashi are obviously the best written characters in this show but Kobayashi herself especially was really fun and well written, I love her a lot.

Koe no Katachi – Shouya Ishida

I’d probably prefer Shouko were it not for the fact that I was a bully in primary school for a bit so I related to Ishida and boy was that hard, great job movie you made me feel things.

KonoSuba – Megumin

Waga na wa Megumin ekusprosion amirite.

The Garden of Words – Yukari Yukino

She’s shit right, but she’s in Your Name and voiced by KanaHana so like she’s got some things going for her.

Little Witch Academia – Sucy Manbavaran

She’s fuckin great.

Made in Abyss – Nanachi

Nanachi has one really fuckin good arc holy shit it’s painful to watch though but it’s so good. Love their design as well.

Magical Girl Raising Project – Snow White

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha – Fate Testarossa

Fate’s just, just incredible. It’s impossible to not immediately fall in love with her and then her backstory is so damn good and like her motivations are completely understandable and then she’s one of the best enemy-turned-friend characters I know I love her she’s so great I love her design I love Fate so much she’s definitely the best blonde and best twintailed waifu on this list I adore her.

ViVid Strike – Rinne Berlinetta

I feel like ViVid is disconnected enough from the rest of Nanoha to warrant its own entry. Plus I want an excuse to say that I love Rinne a lot and wanted to put her picture in here.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica – Homura Akemi

Literally my favourite fictional character.

Mahou Shoujo Ore – Konami Yamo

The manager had a good amount of funny moments and the least amount of unfunny moments and that plot twist at the end was pretty neat.

Mahou Shoujo Site – Tsuyuno Yatsumura

Probably had the best character arc of everyone in that show, definitely has the best design, and her relationship with Aya is honestly pretty neat. Shame the anime cut their lesbian kiss scene out.

Mahou Shoujo Tokushusen Asuka – Tamara Volkova

I hate her design the least and it turns out she’s voiced by M.A.O? that’s cool.

Mitsuboshi Colors - Kotoha

No more mahou shoujo. But instead we’ve got a blue loli gamer who steps on people. Actually the best character on this list.

Mob Pyscho 100 – Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama

I’d love to say “Shishou” here but I made that joke in my Winter 2019 Season in Review.

Naruto – Minato Namikaze

I’ve not seen Naruto but Naruto SD is on my MAL and I’ve got a relative idea of the story so like. Minato’s cool as shit and great fun in the Ultimate Ninja Storm games so I like him.

The Cat Returns – Baron Humbert von Gikkingen

I only knew him as the Baron but MAL’s got this full name so. Handsome cat with a sick top hat. I’ve only seen this in dub and the dub voice for him is pretty cool so.

New Game – Hifumi Takimoto

Adorable.

No Game No Life – Sora

It’s either Sora or Shiro and while Shiro is a hot- I mean cute loli, Sora’s a lot funnier and has more personality.

One Punch Man – Genos

I’ve heard Genos be described as the protag to his own shounen series and that’s fair. Genos is cool, I liked him.

Princess Principal – Ange le Carré

Lucarre? Who knows. Ange’s a really wonderful main character though and her design is incredible and I love her and PriPri is so fun to watch for so many reasons but especially Ange is amazing I adore her

Re:Zero – Rem

She’s like the most popular waifu for a reason, she’s cute and actually has like a solid character arc. And then she’s just waifu bait for Subaru.

Release the Spyce – Momo Minamoto

Every character in this show really sucked but a fun fact is that Momo is the only one whose name I remembered, and only her first name.

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai – Kaede Azusagawa

I feel like her character arc was pretty interesting, and one of the more emotional ones in the show, plus she’s voiced by Yurika Kubo using her adorable Hanayo voice so that’s really cute.

Your lie in April – None

Yeah, I genuinely hate everyone in this show so much that I can’t choose a favourite character. Funny, huh?

Flavours of Youth – Yi Lin

Wikipedia lists this as the name of the main character from the fashion model one, and while I think the third part was the best one, this fashion model girl was a bit more fun of a character than the dude from the third one, so she can be my favourite character.

Attack on Titan – Levi Ackerman

Not seen this since before even the dub came out but hey Levi’s badass and everyone loved him including me, I don’t know where the character’s gone since then but if he still likes cleaning then I guess he’s same old same old amirite?

Girls’ Last Tour – Chito

I mean, between Chito and Yuuri I feel like this is kind of obvious, by this point in the post I’m sure some sense of my taste has been established, if you couldn’t predict this then that’s your fault.

Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight – Daiba Nana

Doing this in Japanese name order because I really wanna preserve Banana. Even though I felt like episode 7 and Nana’s backstory were weirdly contrived, I still liked the character herself, and god if her outfit isn’t the best one by far. Tough pick between her and Hikari though because Hikari’s basically just Umi. I need to rewatch Revue Starlight and like, try to get it.

Slow Start – Tamate Momochi

Despite me just talking about my whole taste being established in the Girls’ Last Tour bit, I’ve now got a genki girl as my favourite again, because I’m less consistent than you think. Nah but twintails, thigh highs, flat chest and a fang? Even if it’s a gross flesh fang I still think she’s the best one.

Sonic X – Sonic the Hedgehog

While Sonic is a lot more introverted than his game self in this, I still think his portrayal was probably the most consistent with his game self relative to how much I also happened to enjoy it. Plus the Helen episode is actually just really good.

Sora no Otoshimono – Nymph

I watched this show dubbed and it was hilarious, I don’t think it was good at all but you know what Nypmh actually did have some decent moments here and there, I think. Mostly I remember her having a cute design and flat chest though and that’s all you need.

A Place Further Than the Universe – Shirase Kobuchizawa

Shirase’s honestly one of the most admirable protagonists I’ve ever seen and I really really respected her – another example of a very human lead character and god I really loved this so much damn fuck I love her.

SSSS.Gridman – Akane Shinjo

Yet another really good character. Very good at feeling human, again, and also they do a pretty good job of making her a sympathetic villain, and of course that design’s good as shit.

Sword Art Online – Yuuki Konno

This spot could be taken by Eugeo depending on the next half of Alicization. But for now it’s Yuuki. I’ve spoken at reasonable length about my love for Yuuki before so let’s just, move on.

Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online – LLENN

SAOAGGO deserves a mention, and LLENN’s fucking great fun what a wild little loli.

Tamako Market – Tamako Kitashirakawa

Tough surname to say, but Tamako was pretty fun, I liked her more than the rest of the cast and she’s, she’s so cute.

Teekyuu – Yuri Oshimoto

I’m pretty sure I recall her being the funniest one.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann – Simon

Simon’s character arc is just, it’s just really good. He’s great fun and literally the perfect protagonist for what Gurren Lagann actually is.

Ms. Vampire Who Lives in my Neighbourhood – Sophie Twilight

Pretty cute, a vampire loli, that’s basically all you need.

Tsurezure Children – Shinichi Katori

He was by far the funniest character, also one of the most memorable ones. I’ll concede that I remembered the little sister character first but Katori’s better.

Space Patrol Luluco – Luluco

I wanted to leave “Luluco” here but I made that joke with Black Rock Shooter so. Moving on.

Uma Musume – Special Week

Shoutouts to Air Groove for funny name and Silence Suzuka for being actually the best character, but Special Week has a cuter design and is actually a better character and easily the most memorable character I just thought Suzuka was also neat.

Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita – Hana Shirosaki

Adorable moe blob, love the design, she’s like a very moe loli Homura and also her personality is the most endearing.

Bloom Into You – Yuu Koito

The good character that feels quite human train is still rolling. Yuu’s awesome though, I loved her.

The Promised Neverland – Emma

Norman was annoying, Ray was way too edgy, Mama was like, not that likeable, there are others who were all meh, process of elimination time.

Yuru Camp – Shimarin

English name order being broken again because Shimarin is her name. I adore Shimarin and I have so much love for the fact that Yuru Camp just, lets her be introverted and doesn’t try to change her, and when she does try out group camping it’s not like “wow this is better haha enjoying your own company is a felony” but rather “oh this is neat too” which is wonderful. Shimarin’s not the most complex character or anything but her surface level appeal is literally at its peak and the fact that the narrative is as respectful of her as it is makes it impossible not to love her even more.

Yuru Yuri – Yui Funami

She was my favourite, least annoying, not that Yuru Yuri has annoying characters but most of them had times where they could be, but Yui was good, and stuff.

Yuki Yuna is a Hero – Yuna Yuki

I really feel like I should be breaking the English name order rule again here because “Yuna Yuki” looks cursed. Anyway Yuki’s design is quite cute and I love her mahou shoujo look, but also I especially love that she punches things, that’s funny to me.

Zombie Land Saga – Ai Mizuno

I constantly go back and forth between her and Junko but eh Junko kinda stops being after episode 6 whereas Ai still gets to encourage Sakura in some nice ways, and stuff, but Junko looks and sounds a lot cuter and has a way better singing voice.

So that’s all of them. That took a few hours but was actually a bit easier than I thought it would be. I mean if I actually tried to justify my liking of every character fully rather than, whatever I did here, it’d be significantly longer and I’d probably just be tired as fuck when it all ended, but hey I still had fun with this. It’s not very clear how these characters scale against one another I feel, and where some characters were chosen because I actually loved them, some were just process of elimination from a weak cast, so in that sense it might be difficult to really establish my type from this, but hey whatever, again I’ve wanted to do this post for a long ass time and it was super fun to do so really what is there to complain about? Shoutouts to anyone who actually read all of this – I wouldn’t be surprised if anyone reading this specific section skimmed over some of the entries in the full list or even outright ignored them, but if you were crazy enough to actually read literally all of my musings (can they even be called that?) then that’s nice of you, thank you.

Now to watch something probably, and immediately render this list obsolete because it’s lacking a show I’ll have just watched!
