I graduated with degrees in both theatre, and interpersonal communications. There is NO reason for Sabine to be facing in right now. Not at all. This scene we see from multiple angles, and multiple shots, which means it was a conscious decision for Sabine to take a few steps closer, and to turn her body towards Shin.

Sabine has been captured before—we see it in Rebels, when she’s captured by the Seventh Sister. In that instance, she defiantly turned away from her, and was in much more danger than she is with Shin right now (considering Baylan promised not to hurt her).

Whether or not shin/sabine becomes canon, it was a conscious acting, and directing decision to have her loosen up after a moment, move closer to, and turn towards Shin. Shin is only holding one of her wrists. It wouldn’t be uncomfortable for Sabine to keep facing forward, but instead she turns, and basically half loops her arm behind hers. Quite literally, this is how I turn and follow my own girlfriend, or how she would follow me. In fact, my first thought was how strikingly similar this positioning is to my own, actual, sapphic relationship.

No matter what becomes of them, the foundation is there, and it’s very, very telling in their body language—and I can say without a doubt, that was done intentionally.

If Leia can get away with kissing her brother, Shin and Sabine can explicitly have sex on screen. Multiple times. Sorry, don’t make the rules 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

Shin crossing her arms and pouting: I won't get on that if it's not white.

So, I binged the first 6 episodes of Star Wars Ahsoka today. Shin Hati is the best and I will riot if we don’t get more of her backstory at some point!

With Marrok's death in the series. I imagined Shin crying, holding the mask close to her, remembering all the good memories she'd had with him. And Baylan Skoll not understanding his apprentice's pain.

The Ukrainian actress and one of the emerging fan favourites from the Disney+ show Ahsoka, Ivanna Sakhno, has been speaking with EW about her character Shin Hati. Four episodes in, Shin has broken out as one of Ahsoka's most ferocious standouts, even on a show already packed with memorable villains. With her bleached blonde bob and almost medieval-looking costume, the eager mercenary struts around the galaxy like an intergalactic Joan of Arc, raising her red lightsaber against anyone who dares stand in her way. EW spoke to the 25-year-old Sakhno before the start of the SAG-AFTRA strike, where she opened up about playing the single-minded Shin. "She's very calculated," the Ukrainian actress teases. "She's impatient, but she's a seeker. She's only in the beginning of finding her own voice." Sakhno is known for her roles in The Spy Who Dumped Meand the High FidelityTV series, but Ahsoka is her biggest project yet. She spent months training with stunt coordinator Ming Qiu to perfect Shin's brutal lightsaber style. Still, she says, her favorite days were when she got to film in the cockpit of Shin's ship. "The actual ship and a lot of the aspects of the physical world were built for the show," Sakhno explains. "I do remember sitting inside of my [cockpit] and really [feeling like] my younger self as a kid, looking around. All the buttons are working, and you feel like it's your childhood dream coming true. You really feel like a pilot in a ship. And you get to do this for a living." Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni also encouraged Sakhno to help craft Shin's characterization and backstory, right down to specific hair and wardrobe choices. "He really cherishes the opinion of every person," Sakhno adds. "Creating Shin, I just felt like my involvement mattered. Because she's a new character, we got to create parts of her from the very beginning. With the costume and makeup, it felt like storytelling." Okay but we literally see Shin put her hand on her shoulder in the first scene as a way of pushing her along/guiding her back to the ship. But then in the second scene, Sabine is all leaning in and Shin is holding her hand??? Why would she change up the methods so randomly, especially IN the ship, because there’s more people/security in the ship so it’s not like Sabine was going anywhere-

Can I draw? No. Can I make crappy edits of these gay people? Yes.

¡HEAR ME OUT! ¡HEAR ME OUT! A Sabine and Shin fanfic with a plot of fake girlfriends in college (rivals to lovers). Here's a part of what I'm writing, and I hope to publish it on Ao3 soon:

"Changing the subject. Have you found a solution for your project yet?" asks the African-American girl curiously.

Sabine sighs wearily. "I haven't been able to find something with enough power to generate a laser. I'm starting to think about dropping out of university if I don't figure it out soon."

"Well, I have good and bad news for you," Ketsu tries to suppress a smile, karma was definitely funny. "A girl in my prototype class made a laser weapon; maybe she can help you."

"Please tell me who she is," the Mandalorian almost lunges at her friend; she needed that information if she wanted to graduate with a double major.

"Jyn Erso."

Sabine turns to where the girl is, tossing grapes to Shin to catch with her mouth. That was bad; the only person who could help her was the best friend of the girl she just treated badly. Without a doubt, Jyn would tell her to go to hell along with her thesis. "Damn."

Swallowing all her pride, the Mandalorian got up and headed toward the table where Jyn was sitting. Ketsu, on the other hand, was dying of laughter; she didn't want to miss the show.

"Dude, you have to aim for my mouth," Jyn says with laughter when Shin throws a grape at her head with the intent to hit her.

"Jyn... Can I talk to you?" Sabine asks, ignoring the look Shin gives her back; she was probably checking out her behind.

The raven-haired girl diverted her attention from the grapes and smiled with satisfaction. "I'm sorry, but I'm a bit busy. Can you move out of the way?"

Sabine glances at Shin with annoyance when she hears her laughing with complicity. Naboo seemed unfazed by the hostility, and with complete serenity, she threw a grape into the air and caught it in her mouth. "Come on, Jyn, she probably needs something. You never know when you might need a favor."

The Mandalorian suppresses the urge to punch the blonde when she winks at her, too flirtatious and sexy, more than she'd like to admit.

"Yeah... I only do favors for my friends' girlfriends," Jyn places her hands on the backrest, adopting a more relaxed posture than before, making it clear that she didn't care about what Sabine wanted.

Sabine clenches her fists; she was going to regret her next decision. "Fine, if I accept your idiot friend's proposal, would you help me with an energy problem for my project?"

"Ding ding ding ding," Jyn throws a grape and catches it. "Come to our dorm at 8, and we'll discuss whatever you want about your project."

"Okay, I'll see you tonight."

"See? It wasn't that hard, ad'ika (love)," Shin says with satisfaction. "By the way, those jeans look great on you."

Sabine rolls her eyes and throws a grape from Jyn's bowl directly at the blonde, but Naboo easily catches it. "Screw you."

"I love it when you play hard to get," Shin blows a kiss into the air.

The Mandalorian flips her middle finger; yes, she was definitely already regretting that decision.
