wanting to play as evil stinky bastard man that somehow everyone likes and believes is redeemable who only truly cares about what he wants and will do anything to get it at the expense of everyone else who learns that being on the outside and alone in the world is not what he wants and all the riches of the world cannot make him happy when he is so deeply alone

Astarion romance confession scene is. BONKERS. exactly what I wanted from a character like this

he literally comes up to you like "hey, um. bad news. I feel like crap because I originally slept with you because I feared being abandoned and seducing you was the only way I knew how to find safety, except I accidentally tripped into love and it turns out that I would like this to be real" and then he confesses that intimacy just makes him hate himself and if you tell him that you care about him he looks scared shitless

JUST started a good Durge playthrough and I'm dying over my absolute little guy bard Tinfoil.

Lae'zel confessing her attraction to me, me rejecting her with Astarion in mind, and Astarion confessing to me immediately after felt so bad.,,.,,, why can't the whole squad just be a gigantic polycule....

When you are so goddamn dense irl that you don’t realize your durge and karlach are together/dating then get together with Astarion and are so confused when you get dialogue to break up with Karlach and you do because you didn’t know your durge and her were a thing to begin with and also Astarion but she is really sad and you just cry.

Just finished my first playthrough of BG3. Romanced Lae'zel, but ending up turning into an Illithid because the idea of making Orpheus or Karlach do it didn't sit well with me (or my character).

I told Lae'zel to leave with Orpheus in the end (I heard she wouldn't stay with a ghaik anyway, which she's valid for, but also, it doesn't feel right to ask her to stay when I know how much her people mean to her). And like-

She looks so heartbroken and sad.

btw i got into act 3 of bg3 and astarion rejected me. So guess what i’m gonna do :)

for me… FOR ME..!!! and for shri’iia specifically the lock in for astarion’s romance is his graveyard scene in act 3.

i think it is too quick for shri’iia to be moving on to another relationship considering her previous one was with her mistress who essentially groomed and isolated her for like … more than hundred years. learning to chase her own desires and not moulding herself to what anyone wants her to be is something so new to her…!!! and something that she’s still learning how to be comfortable with….

and what I like abt romancing astarion with her is that I usually go for the dialogue path in his act 2 confession scene where you can ask him:

- what do YOU want to do?

and he goes like honestly idk what we’re doing but /this/ is nice. it just feels like two people exploring the option to love for the first time and taking things in their own pace rather than jumping straight into the relationship. they’re going at a snails pace… they don’t know what they’re doing but they like this feeling and the vibe and they want to more of it but they’re not ready to commit to anything yet and it’s fine for them …!! and they’re only committing by the end in the graveyard scene where significant time has passed and they’ve learnt a little more about themselves and they’re both more confident about their own desires and also how they want to be loved.

like it is so fitting I think… and sweet… not to mention astarion being a high elf & a vampire and shri’iia being a drow, they have all the time of the world for themselves so I def think they would want to take their time. except if shri’iia turns into a mindflayer or drider by the end then that plan is out the window lol

Me finding the harpies in BG3 and immediately thinking they're hot... Shadowheart liked their singing too, immediately once the fight started Lae'zel and Karlach got caught up in their song. Lol.

I'm still not done with my first playthrough but the concept of origin runs is becoming more fascinating the further I get in. I desperately want to see what a Gale/Lae'zel romance looks like.
