okay as the world's #1 teardrop fan this episode is gonna make me cry.... like they really went out of their way to show how much she's grown as a person and how much people have grown around her...
td's relationship with eraser is so special and fun, and i'm so glad jnj kept td's sense of mischief and ambition while in the context of her newfangled regard for other people. yeah, teardrop still wants to win, but not at the expense of others -- they care about the wellbeing of those around them, so they're willing to definitively give up their spot in the game if it means saving everyone from a major threat (like a zombie apocalypse).
i was worried that at some point jnj might do a complete 180 with her characterization, making her really selfless and caring while disregarding the inherent aggression and swagger of her personality; i'm incredibly happy that they were able to properly depict her as both competitive and principled. this really is a matter of properly conveying her character development from bfb, and i think they succeeded.
the moment of teardrop's elimination really touched me... eraser's admiration for her, their continued friendly rivalry and mischief, even so far as to make fun of fans who fret over what teardrop would sound like if she spoke. td making that joke is so hilarious and awesome and powerful of them.
and overall... teardrop got to be the hero. a beacon of power that not only pushes her forward, but those around her. it really is awesome and heart-warming, and oh my god i'm so sad to see them go, but i'm happy that they went out like this.
i'm so proud... <3

do you guys feel shiv's total trust in tom, but manifesting not as love but in how she picked him over nate because nate broke when she tried playing with him but she said that line to tom with absolute certainty that he's better, that he's stronger than that
people will be quick to say shiv underestimates tom and while that's true for his business experience, she overestimates his toughness as seen by her frequent pleas of "i need you"
to shiv, tom is her rock, tom is the guy she met when she was at the lowest point in her life, tom is strong and he can take being played with and she can "build a home thinking she's strong there" but she also undermines the implications of how a marriage is a teamwork and so nothing important can be build if she doesn't put in her own share of the work

klavier can of course canonically drive, but i think he's got a really loose grasp on the rules of the road because he started illegally driving around the german countryside aged, like, 15, in a beaten up cast-off from his rich father's classic car collection. and i think maybe by the time he passes his test aged 17 there's some slight nepotism involved because he's already in the gavinners? like for some reason he and ema have to drive somewhere at work and klavier goes fully over the kerb and naturally ema rips the shit out of him, and klavier's like 'i'd still pass my test though' (which is exactly what happened) and ema is like '...???????'.
anyway to compound matters he also definitely never did the extra test to be able to ride a motorcycle. he doesn't even know there's an extra test for motorcycles. he just walked into a shop and bought one, because what are you going to do, not sell the motorbike to harry styles, um i mean klavier gavin? also we have never even seen a hint of a helmet around him so i think that he doesn't wear one 'because he doesn't want to mess up his hair'.
