A comment that I saw on YouTube and my response to it

“What makes me mad and sad is people calling Israel oppressors when this whole conflict started and has gone on for decades because

Palestine hates Jews and refuses to live in peace beside them. They claim ownership of Jews ancestral homeland (that they colonised even though they claim otherwise), start an almost century long conflict, and then cry that they are the victims when the first leader of Palestine essentially said Hitler was right!

I don't agree with what Israel's government is doing, but let's not act like this conflict isn't anti-Semitic at its core.

If you replace the word Palestinians with Nazis do you feel sad? If Israel was bombing neo-Nazis proclaiming to be innocent would you stand up for those neo-Nazis?

This conflict could end right this second if Palestine would stop being anti-Semitic. I see so many people claiming this isn't just about religious persecution, and yet I saw with my own eyes on social media an Israeli say they just want the conflict to end and to live in peace, and the response they received was 'We pray for you for death, destruction, torment, disasters, misfortunes, and eternal suffering. We will pray for your bodies to burn with diseases that have no cure. Sickness take you to the depths of hell and make you firewood for hell. God is with Palestine and we won't stop until all of you are dead'.

(Not only does this make me sick to know that someone could even think to type this and be so malicious, but as someone with Jewish heritage it's also a little frightening.)

And this was on a post about unicef calling for action to protect children in both countries...

Why is that the Holocaust is considered one of the worst events in history, but when Jews fight back against the people that want them dead, they become evil and vile?

this has nothing to do with religion, i has nothing to do with anti-semitism and honestly its sad that you’d compare the likes of innocent palestinas to neo-nazis. it has never been about religion this is a political war, let me explain.

75 years ago america decided to take palestine’s land and make it for jewish people after the world war. since 1948 palestinas are being murdered, this is a genocide. if you compare the death toll from israelis to palestinas its way more on their side. israel is being backed by the usa, they have military weapons and everything else whereas palestina has what? israel are commiting WAR crimes, they refuse to stop cease-fire when it has been agreed on by both sides, even russia doesn’t do that, bombing children’s hospitals and civilian towns, cutting off their access to food, water, electricity, all basic necessities to live.

israelis want to live “peacefully” with palestinas? isreal has never wanted to live peacefully with palestinas, they wouldnt have been bombing them for the last 75 years if that were the case, but also does that even sound right? palestinas should live peacefully with their oppressors, the ones who killed their family, friends everyone?

Israelis have been murdering innocent palestinas since 1948 and the retaliate for what the first? maybe second time? and all of a sudden it’s “my heart goes out to israel” where was this support for palestine when they were being slaughtered, when children were dying.

let me make a comparison for you, in the last 10 days more palestina children have been killed than in the ukraine conflict which started in 2022. israel claim to want to eradicate hamas, but it’s truly them trying to kill all palestinas.

you claim its religion but let me explain to you why it’s not. palestine used to be a peaceful country where muslims, jews and christians lived together as jerusalem is important for all of them. however after america forced their israel agenda on the land, it became moreso an apartheid for jewish people, now palestine is mainly muslim and christian, you compared palestinas to NAZIS? which is a grave misinformation on its own but you could not be further from the truth. the israeli government has called palestinas children of between the law of humanity and the law of the jungle, isreali politicians have said that thwir is a gal between the lives of israeli children and palestinian children, saying their lives aren’t worth as much, israel has also compared them to the likes of rats, which is very similar in what hitler did when he started the holocaust.

you also mentioned jews are fighting back against the ones that want them dead

strike 1, misinformation. first of all a lot of jewish people aren’t zionist, israelis are not even not the oppressed, they are the oppressor. isreal brought a gun to a, no not even a knife fight, but a a paper sword fight. the power is very mismatched.

the comment with palestinas wanting them dead, cannot be further from the truth, let me remind you again that palestina used to be 1/3 jewish, and also how are you so sure its not from an israeli, but fine let’s assume it’s not, the i guess it’d be from a radical-hama which is a terrorist organisation, think about it, because of a terrorist organisation that they claim they want to kill, innocent lives are being lost, when like ive said before, its not about eradicating hamas, israel bombed the children’s hospital in gaza, made up a fake story claiming that hamas bombed it and for what?

the entire thing is also politics usa is backing israel because they made israel, they pulled back all their ressources from ukraine to send to israel and Biden requested 69bil for help for israel (it would cost less to fix homelessness is the usa) china wants to support Palestine because they want to strip the usas power and become the 1. themselves.

you say palestine stole jews homeland which is strike 2, misinformation (again) I citied this from the internet and went to fact-check this with multiple different websites.

Can Jews have their own country? They are forbidden according to Torah, Talmud, their own highly rated scholars and the bible. The problem is that Israel has degenerated to a secular liberal state who do not follow their own religion anymore and the arguments for it are from the perspective of secular liberalism not religion.

like i said jerusalem is important for all 3 major religions claim that Palestine stole that is ridiculous, why should jerusalem be for jews only, by your way of thinking, isn’t that Islamophobic and anti-christianity?

twisting the genocide of palestinas to anti-semitism is misinformation.

being neutral is ignorance.

i hope before you decide to go compare palestinas to nazis again, you think about what i said, and educate yourself more.

welcome to lazy re-interprets pre-canon khr pt1/?

- reborn and shamal knew each other pre-canon, in my mind pre-curse!reborn. shamal worked at hayato and bianchi’s family’s house as their live-in doctor. so reborn visits the house on and off to conduct business with shamal or just annoy him and inevitably runs into the two weird kids.

- hayato and bia think he’s the coolest dude ever. tall, black suit, carrying around a fucking lizard, an air of mystery plus a weird anime shadow over his eyes from his fedora. tells them stories about his “adventures” every once in a while, lets them play with his pet lizard(s). he impresses the “everybody cool is also a hitman” on the two kids at an early age, despite the two of them being boss candidates and hitmen being seen as several steps below their status. hayato already had this mindset from latching onto shamal but this was bia’s a-ha moment.

- so while hayato seeks out shamal after he leaves the house bc he’s already imprinted on him as “dad” figure, bia wants nothing to do with that intoxicated, sexist idiot and seeks out this “reborn” dude from her childhood after her own successful runaway from their shit, negligent family. and insanely enough, she does.

- this is where i re-interpret the timeline a little, because it’s already fuzzy in-canon, that she runs into him still pre-curse, pre-dino and declares that he’s going to be her “tutor” on how to become a hitman, bc yes, you are now HER “dad” figure, reborn, and there’s nothing you can do to stop this. (she sits on his stoop à la russel from up—except more menacing—until he finally lets her in.)

- cue léon and mathilda lando apartment scenario with a lizard enclosure rather than a potted plant and less creepy one-sided flirting (though bia is very touch-starved and the occasional, proud head pats reborn gives her are extremely novel to her; she does hold his hand too when she’s scared, similar to how she’d do with her bio dad growing up). basically give me reborn teaching bia how to shoot (fuck canon, this kid can shoot fine), how to conduct surveillance, how to master disguises, how to approach targets unnoticed, etc. the two of them bond especially over their love of insects and bia’s actually the one who shows reborn the weird canon bug-speak thing from daily arc bc y’know, why not. magic mafia.

- flash forward a year or two of this, and suddenly, reborn’s gone, off answering a job offer to end all job offers (you know where this is going). he comes back after a few weeks of radio silence as a fucking toddler and bia, being bia, is just glad he’s still alive. figuring out clothes for him is interesting and now reborn’s teaching her how to sew kid’s clothes to help him out.

- they keep working hits but obviously it’s weird as shit that the guy you’re hiring is now a deformed child, so the jobs start dwindling. bia goes off, gets a bf who treats her like shit and eventually kills him for it (he deserves it), and now people don’t want to hire her bc they think she’ll turn on them. it’s not looking good. until news comes in that the cavallone family’s boss is dying and his one heir is a fucking mess and the power balance is about to shift dramatically and potentially lead to all-out war because the family is nearly in financial ruin and owes a lot of money to a lot of different families and yada yada.

- cue bia being like “hey you know who was raised to be a boss? me. and who raised me to defend myself and kick ass? you.” and knowing “uncle cavallone” aka the 9th cav boss personally from when she was a kid, she drags reborn to their estate to propose her idea and it’s just the usual canon deadly comedic shitshow from there on. there’s a VERY good reason why dino’s fucking afraid of bianchi and it’s not the reason you’d think.

i’ll post more later, because this series is a spore in my brain that’s been lodged there for over a decade now, my personal interests being gokudera and bianchi’s background in particular. i welcome all comments and reblogs!

So.... Hayato and Shamal's canon relationship basically is reluctant mentor and reluctant apprentice right? I always thought it was weird. Like.... Shamal's pretty strong. If I remember right he's pretty well known. I think he wouldn't be in Japan, training Hayato if he really didn't want to. And I'm pretty sure that if Hayato wanted he could find someone else to teach him about bombs. So yeah, I think they actually genuinely like each other, I'd say they're family actually.

Au idea....

So Shamal is pretty well known yeah? So he must have at least some ennemies (..... Like the husbands of some of his lovers lmao) so I think.... I think he acts like he doesn't really likes Hayato because showing that he cares would make him a target for Shamal's ennemies. That's dangerous, and he doesn't wants Hayato to be hurt! (he's already been hurt enough) plus, Shamal's thing with disliking the company of men actually works pretty well with the act.

On Hayato's side, he's playing along for several reasons. 1 : if he ever became well known in the mafia, then it would be his ennemies who would go after Shamal and that's not okay because he cares about Shamal and Shamal doesn't have a Famiglia to protect him! (I think.... We don't know much abt him). So he must preemptively establish that NO he doesn't cares about Shamal what are you talking about. 2 : he's also playing along because Shamal being afraid for him makes sense. He doesn't wants to be targeted by Shamal's ennemies, thank you very much! 3 : he also goes along with it because Hayato being attacked genuinely worries Shamal and Hayato doesn't wants Shamal to worry and stress himself out! It's for his peace of mind (also knowing that Shamal cares enough about Hayato that he built up a whole act so that Hayato wouldn't get hurt? It's nice. Warm.)

So the animosity.... Is an act! When they're in private and safe they're actually pretty domestic and affectionate because Hayato is a biiiit Touch-starved and Shamal is a pretty touchy person and he's also lonely sometimes.... And they study medical stuff together and study flames because flames are fascinating and think up new uses of flames and lots of brainstorming (ha) basically. And hm..... Hayato allowing himself to let his guard down around Shamal because while Hayato thinks of anyone older than himself as an enemy.... Shamal is the exception to the rule, because Shamal never really betrayed him and he helped him get over some of his food issues and his music issues and he knows Shamal would protect him if they were attacked and Shamal's safe. He's safe. So it's okay for Hayato to not have to handle everything himself and he can allow himself to ask for help.... And relax....

I'm thinking about them curled up on the couch of Shamal's apartment, Shamal's arm over Hayato's shoulders and they're watching a science documentary and hm... When it ends Hayato asks if they can watch something about aliens next and Shamal (Long-suffering about the aliens) just goes urgh fine as if he hasn't recorded several alien movies just for Hayato. But Hayato's smile is worth it.

On Shamal's end.... First of all, he loves Hayato. He would protect Hayato even if Hayato didn't trust him. But Hayato does trust him and it's incredible. Because few trust Shamal, with reason. Who would trust someone who can make you deadly ill before you even notice it? It's huge that Hayato trusts him, because Hayato never trusts adults so for him to trust Shamal out of all the adults? It feels quite heady, actually. And Hayato.... Hayato is his kid, you know? He's basically the only family Shamal has. He's bright and strong and determined and so so so important to Shamal.

Basically. I want them to be a family

(and because it's me and I always come back to outsider POV, I'm also thinking about an outsider pov of various people in namimori witnessing the staggering difference between Hayato and Shamal's dynamic when they're outside and acting VS while they're safe and with people they trust)
