You only wanted to explore the abandoned subway, you planned to not go far in but it seems your curiosity had other plans.
You’re in awe of your scenery, the hole in the ceiling showing the night sky, as the greenery over took a subway cart.
So you just kept going further in, wanting to see more.
Not knowing the two figures that trailed behind you.
Pale eyes never leaving your form.
It’s been ages since anyone has come here, so what are you doing here? They were interested, curious as to what you were doing in their home.
The shadows of the tunnel seem to move, tendrils almost curling around you.
Yet you stand there at a cross section, looking around.
“Where am I?”
You realized you had been wondering aimlessly, with no idea how to get out.
You hear footsteps echoing in the tunnels, two sets getting closer.
Turning around you see them.
They look human but…something is wrong with them.
One has a smile that stretches too far to be natural, arms and legs longer than they should be.
A shadow like mist coming from both of them.
The one dressed in black’s frown stretches too far down.
Everything about them sends a chill down your spine.
Everything screaming at you to run, that you aren’t safe.
Yet you stay, standing there looking at them with a soft smile.
“Hello! I’m sorry to bother you two, but can you help me? It seems I’ve gotten myself a little lost.”
They stop just short of you, both towering over you, their gangly limbs holding them a good three feet above you.
“Lost?”
They spoke in sync, tilting their heads in opposite directions. You try not to cringe, it’s like several of them talking at once.
“I am Emmet! We can help!”
The creature in the old, dirty, torn subway boss suit jumps up, his face showing excitement, but his voice carries no emotion.
"I am a Subway Boss, Ingo. The fellow over to the side is also a Subway Boss, Emmet. We will be happy to help a lost passenger.”
His face is unmoving, but his voice carrying throughout the tunnel. His words don’t sound like his own, sounding like he’s repeating something he heard.
Like he’s parroting from something.
You perk up, smiling widely.
“Thank you! I really appreciate it.”
A black, almost inky tendril comes from Ingo, and a dark grey one comes from Emmet. The tentacle like appendages, wrap around your hands, as if they are holding them.
They are cold, like they’ve been in front of an ac.
“Ready to depart to our next destination.”
“ALL ABOARD!”
You stumble lightly, trying to keep up with them.
They’re abnormally long legs taking long strides, like toy soldiers.
“Be careful not to come uncoupled from us.”
Before you could respond, Emmet disappears, only to appear right behind you. The tall creature leaning down, his back cracking as he bends far too low without bending his knees.
“So cute, yup! So strange too!”
Ingo growls, the tunnel vibrating at such a loud dark sound. He wants to scold his brother, but he agrees, you are a weird one.
Everyone who’s walked in has always left screaming.
Or not at all.
They didn’t take kindly to be attacked.
Yet you are calm, not even afraid of them, going as far as to ask them for help!
They can’t help but be intrigued.
Such an adorable thing, and you’re so warm too.
So squishy.
“Both of you are so nice, I can’t thank you enough for helping me.”
The tentacle from Ingo squeezes your hand lightly, almost like he’s trying to reassure you.
“Our pleasure! It’s rare to have such a kind guest.”
Emmet presses his cheek against yours.
“Sooo cute! We’ll miss you!”
You laugh, trying to kindly brush him off.
You have no idea what they are, but they don’t seem so bad. You pick up the pace, as you see the light from the sunrise as you approach the entrance.
Emmet whines, and Ingo’s frown deepens.
They don’t want to say goodbye to the one kind guest.
The stop a few yards away from the exit, not getting close to the light. You stand in the light of the sunrise, looking back to them.
“Would it be okay if I visit?”
The creatures look confused for a moment.
You look nice with that glow.
“Of course!”
“We would be honored.”
Maybe monsters aren’t so bad.

"Menacing shadows are being cast over Pasio's streets, a rythmic march echoing through the night. The subway bosses are on a patrol challenging any sync pairs they come across, with the opponent's precious pokémon at stake! They are not pulling any stops to reach their goals!"
Two champion level pokémon trainers whose tactics mesh together precisely like gears in a clockwork, they make a terrifying force most sync pairs woulnd't be strong enough to handle even in teams of three! Would you dare to encounter them with the risk of losing your pokémon partner in their hands, or would you avoid conflict at any cost?
Whether I finish this story or not, I am planning to share all material I have eventually!

Continuing the Submas discover Paldean Pokémon theme, I’m currently obsessed with the thought of the Submas investigating several incidents of depot agents, and even some passengers, falling unconscious only to later reawaken with little to no memory of what caused them to faint. The incidents all have one thing in common though, all the victims report that the last thing they remember before fainting was seeing a small, purplish, flame on the ground and hearing a sudden loud and spooky sound when they got closer to investigate. Most agree it almost sounded like a Pokémon, but others aren’t sure.
Based on the description, Ingo and Emmet believe it’s just a stray Litwick that decided to take up residence in the subway tunnels. Despite looking though, neither of them can find the supposed Litwick. Ingo’s not surprised however as Litwicks tend to be a bit shy, so he’s resolved to not go too far out of his way to look for it as it’ll likely come to him in it’s own before long.
This thought ends up being correct, as one night Ingo spots the mysterious purple flame and approaches to investigate. As he gets closer he can make out a candle-like shape on the ground, but he notes that it’s FAR too small to be any Litwick he’s ever seen. Once he gets close enough he starts to crouch down to get a closer look, before he could get too close however, the candle burst up from the ground with a loud, eerie cry. The sudden noise startled Ingo enough that he lost his footing and fell over, he wasn’t hurt though so he stood back up and brushed himself off before looking back at where the candle had been, only to be greeted with the sight of this spoopy boi.
Ingo is baffled as it’s CLEARLY a Pokémon, but he’s NEVER seen this particular Pokémon before, nor does he even have an inkling of what it might be. Ingo is pulled from his thoughts though when the Pokémon barks and waddles up to him on its little legs before jumping up and resting its front paws on his leg. Its little tail is wagging a million miles a minute as a pink tongue hangs out side of its large, almost grinning, maw.
*heart-squeeze.png* Ingo is quick to pet the small dog-like Pokémon, making comments like “Well you’re a friendly little thing, aren’t you? What’s something as cute as you doing all the way out here by yourself?” Ingo feels a pang of sadness, obviously a Pokémon this friendly had to belong to someone. But if his thoughts were correct, and the little creature was indeed responsible for all the fainting incidents, then the Pokémon had been there for at least a week. Ingo doesn’t like to think about it, but unfortunately abandoned Pokémon aren’t that uncommon…
Ingo shakes off the unpleasant thoughts however and scoops up the cheerful pup, chuckling when it licks his face a couple times, before turning to head back home. Upon arriving home, Emmet spots the the little flame and asks if he’d finally managed to catch the Litwick, fully expecting his older brother to present him with the little candle Pokémon. To which Ingo shakes his head and shifts his arms to better show off the small shaggy dog and says “No, but I think I found our culprit anyway. I have no idea what it is, but it’s actually pretty cute.” Emmet is silent for a bit, staring at the sleeping loaf before looking Ingo in the eye. “Ingo I love you verrrry much, but you have lost your marbles. That is a mop with a candle on it.” Emmet quickly retracts his assertion when the Pokémon suddenly wakes up and barks at him. Emmet decides this must be how Ingo feels whenever he brings home stray Joltiks.
Over the next week, the little Pokémon is like Ingo’s shadow; following him around the house and even gear station. His previous theory that it was causing the fainting incidents was proven correct when not only did several of the fainting victims confirm that it had the same flame they had seen, but Emmet also passed out one night after playing fetch with it. The Pokémon is quickly forgiven however because it doesn’t appear to be making people faint intentionally, in fact it gets quite sad when someone passes out and will start to whine and paw at the person, almost as if it’s trying to wake them up.
Despite identifying the little Pokémon as the cause however, no one knows what it is or where it came from. Given its similarities to Litwick and other Ghost type Pokémon, Ingo strongly believes it’s at least a Ghost type. And speaking of Ghost types, the little dog had also become the best of friends with Ingo’s Chandelure. They chase each other around and they’ll even nap together. Even though the little Pokémon is always cheerful and eager to play, Ingo notes that it seems a little sad every now and then, and tends to sniff around a lot, like it’s looking for something.
The answer to that particular mystery comes when one day, an excited cry cuts through the noise of gear station. “GREAVARD??!” At hearing that name, the shaggy Pokémon immediately perks up and makes a mad dash towards the source of the shout. Ingo turns just in time to see the little Pokémon leap into the open arms of a young woman kneeling on the ground. Tears freely flow down her cheeks as she tightly embraces the little Pokémon, while said Pokémon whines and tries to lick her tears away, only stopping to bark excitedly before going back to covering her face in “kisses”. “Hello boo boo! I can’t believe I finally found you! I’ve been looking EVERYWHERE for you, you naughty boy! I missed you so much! My floofy little baby~!”
You managed to stand back up as Ingo approaches you. He asks if the Pokémon belongs to you, and you confirm that yes, he does in fact belong to you. Ingo explains how he found him at the station and been taking care of him for the last week. You thank him PROFUSELY, explaining that you’d only just recently moved to Unova a few weeks ago from your home region, Paldea, and unfortunately your furry friend got a little too excited to “make new friends” and ran off, and you’d been searching for him ever since.
Ingo feels a bit bad now for thinking you had abandoned the little guy and for not trying harder to find you, but you’re just glad your Pokémon is okay. He asks about him, explaining that while he’s certain that it’s a Ghost type, he’s never seen a Pokémon like that in Unova before. You confirm that yes, he is indeed a Ghost type. Your further went on to explain that he was a “Greavard”, a Ghost type Pokémon native to the Paldea region. “They’re extremely friendly in general, in fact, they’re one of the EASIEST Pokémon to befriend in Paldea! However, they get SO excited to play that they often accidentally start draining the life force of anyone near them until they faint.” Well that explains all the fainting. Ingo theorizes that he never fainted because of his experience with Litwicks and his Chandelure.
Ingo is a little sad to see his new little ghost buddy go, but he’s happy that the two of you were reunited….Except, you insisted on treating him to dinner as thanks for taking care of your precious baby boy. And one thing led to another, and now you’re dating the submas and Ingo gets to see Greavard everyday. He sleeps with you guys in your bed and would happily play fetch forever if allowed.

DINOVEMBER DAY 1: 520MYA, STAGE 3 OF THE CAMBRIAN; YUNNAN, CHINA
It is the Cambrian period, and the warm sunlit seas of Southern China are home to a vibrant sponge-reef brimming with life. The creatures of the Cambrian are strange to us in the Holocene, as this period of time is a time of great experimentation in bodyplans thanks to the evolution of a very special type of organ: eyes. Predators can now see their prey, and vice versa, so the pace of life has sped up considerably, and everyone has had to adapt. Many organisms now have hard shells, spiny defences, or increased mobility to protect themselves from these new sighted predators.
One such predator is this Lyrarapax, cruising through a small group of Haikouichthys. You might be more familiar with her Canadian cousin Anomalocaris. At around half a metre long, Lyrarapax is one of the top predators of the Chengjiang biota; her strange arm like protrusion are derived from the filter feeding appendages of her ancestors, and she uses them to grab prey such as trilobites and pass them to the crushing wheel-like mouth on the underside of her head.
Arthropods like her dominate the Cambrian seas, and along with cephalopod molluscs, will rule the Ordovician as well. Primitive chordates like Haikouichthys will remain in their shadow… for now.

Line UB-01: Submas AU
Okay, me and @doublemod were discussing about the Submas and soon an AU spawned from our chat.
So it follows the two, Emmet and Ingo, doing their daily routine in Unova's subways. Battling, making sure things are running smoothly, and caring for their Pokémon
But one day, something is causing trouble on the train lines. Claims of a little girl with a white bonnet hat is running around deep within the tunnels
Hearing this, they go off to investigate
Ingo wonders, "Why would a little girl be running around in the train lines, it's too dangerous"
Emmet however thinks it's an illusion caused by a Pokémon, since Zorua are a thing in Unova after all
But as they continue investigating, they can't find traces of the little girl, but they can hear an odd noise
Emmet suggests that they split up and cover more ground, which Ingo at first hesitates but considers the options they have
They both have their strongest Pokémon on them, and if anything happens, they can call each other on the X-transceiver
So begrudgingly, Ingo agrees and the two split
Some time passes, Emmet finds the little "girl" with a white bonnet hat in the dark train tunnels. Emmet, happy to find the girl, contacts his brother over the X-transceiver
Emmet: "Ingo. I have found the girl."
Ingo: "Bravo! And has she responded to you?"
Emmet: "She hasn't, but I will try."
There is a pause, and Emmet looks a little scared.
Ingo: "Emmet? What's wrong?"
Emmet: "Um, she's floating. And she's looking at-"
Ingo is met with static, and he can hear Emmet's screams in the tunnel. There is no hesitation, Ingo rushes over to where the screams came from.
He soon finds Emmet in the clutches of UB-01, Nihilego. The Ultra Beast is dragging the unconscious Subway Master to an Ultra Wormhole.
Ingo doesn't stop to think, he sends out his Chandelure. He says, "Use Shadow ball on that thing!"
Chandelure unleashes a Shadow ball and it's a direct hit. It releases Emmet as it is sent crashing to the floor.
Emmet is caught by Chandelure's Psychic before he can hit the ground. Chandelure sends Emmet over to Ingo and he hugs his brother.

The threat is taken care of, and Emmet is safe again. Emmet slowly wakes up, asking, "W-Where is the girl?"
Ingo: "That wasn't a girl, more like an alien creature thing! But it's gone now, and we should take you to the hospital in case that thing did anything to you."
Emmet: "Right..."
Ingo carries the exhausted Emmet out but keeping a sharp eye out for anything and having Chandelure on guard.
This is the idea we came up with!

... Yanno what? Fuck it. Super self indulgent mode on: Naga Submas have inspired me and I would just love to read anything for reader and "Some sorta bug hybrid monster Guzma" ?
My immediate thought for Bug hybrid had gotta be Dryder since that's like, the most common sort of bug hybrid monster I see in fiction but I'll give you free range here: Naga like creature but with centipede legs? Bomb. Weirdass Mothwinged guy? BRILLIANT! I don't even know what a Golispod / Ispod inspired bug hybrid would look like but honestly I would be fucking GAME. Just wanna read something that has big bad Bugzma and a reader that looks at him and goes "Well mark me down as scared AND horny"

💀Guzma💀
- He’s already tall and hunches over like a golisopod, the only additions he has are an extra set of arms with with those two large claws on top, and a few scaley exoskeleton like scales down his back, his front is still human but an attack from behind won’t work. His pupils are star shaped much like golisopods, with those purple antenna popping out of his white hair.
- Hell he even already has the stance of golisopod so it works so well with him.
- And he’s about as soft as one too!
- Being his partner you’re going to both hate and love his extra set of limbs.
- Roughhousing that would usually last a while if he was human, lasts seconds now, two sets of arms babe! He’s got you pinned.
- Guzma is very mindful of his claws though. Said claws are known for breaking apart even the toughest shells and he doesn’t want to hurt you.
- His weird human mate. Though he is very hesitant to call you such.
- Humans aren’t exactly kind to hybrids that don’t fit the conventional cute aspect.
- His build also changes with the additions of golisopod and he is a lot broader.
- With this whenever you two go swimming he likes you resting on his back while he does his thing.
- When he is soaking up your affection he clicks little clicking sounds. But don’t say anything! He is a little self conscious about them and will actively stop making them if you point them out too early.
- Double the hands babe you aren’t escaping these cuddles anytime soon, which sucks cause he sleeps like a rock. If you get out of one set you still got one more to get out of.
- Your first meeting still lives in his head, he is so use to be looked at with fear.
- Yet all he could see in you eyes was a combination of that and just straight up lust.
When was towering over you at the garden, determined to get his point across and protect his grunts.
“I ain’t gonna ask ya again, hand the wallet over.” His form casts a shadow over you.
“Holy shit.” It was breathless but he thought it was working “mark me down as scared and horny, hello sailor!”
“Huh?” For once Guzma stood up as straight as his body would let him. His face growing bright and warming.
“Man you’re really pretty too.”
The grunts look to their boss watching his blush reach his ears.
“Knock that off!”
“Sir please if you keep being mean to me I swear I’m gonna fall in love with you.”
Guzma would only sputter, his brain failing to work and form words.
He couldn’t seem to get rid of you after that. But he doesn’t want to, after all he likes you, and you like him.
No he isn’t addicted to your love, shut up.

If Guzma was a drider he’d be an Ariados hybrid.
But I like golisopod guzma, big cute baby.
