~* Late Happy Holidays and early Happy New Year! :D *~
Biggest success of the year? I got my Bachelor's degree and the animation I made as the final project was even used by NerdyPup Games in their IndieCade Festival nomination! :D
So much has happened! Eraser stamps, commissions, contests and collabs, I got into a new school and even started a secret side-project with friends! This year really had it all! :P

February 2025, Monaco
1 week to the first 2024 car reveal.

Émilie stared at her phone.
Haven't heard from you in a couple of months
But I'm out right now, and I'm all fucked up
And you're callin' my phone, you're all alone
And I'm sensin' some undertone.
She was at a bar in Monaco with her friends, having stepped over to their reserved table to get a drink when her phone started ringing.
Émilie took another sip of her drink and watched it ring.
She should have him blocked.
Like she'd done with all her other exes.
And I'm right here with all my friends
But you're sendin' me your new address
But he was also her best friend’s teammate.
She continued to stare at the phone even after he stopped calling, watching as a notification popped up.
"Everything alright Ém?" Danny asked, appearing beside her.
Émilie nodded and picked up her phone. "Yeah, just a text. I'll be back out on the floor soon."
Danny nodded and grinned at her before walking away.
She tapped on his text, watching as her phone unlocked with Face ID and opened her messages.
She'd deleted his messages right after their fight, too disgusted and angry with him to continue to see them on her phone.

But, God, when I look at you
She should have picked a worse photo for his profile picture. But then again, Émilie wasn't the smartest person on the grid.
My brain goes, "Ah"
Can't hear my thoughts (I cannot hear my thoughts)

Plus they were sort of friends again.
Kinda.
Ish.
The confessions and hurtful words they'd exchanged still hung between them, making the air awkward any time they were left alone.
Then of course there was the night Émilie was refusing to acknowledge.
She hadn't told Elena about that just yet, not quite ready to admit that lapse in judgment out loud.
But she had told her everything else about her and Lando's fallout.
"Who are you texting?" Elena asked, carrying two shots to the table.
"An ex." Émilie copied the address he'd sent her and put it into Uber, out of curiosity.
Seein' you tonight, it's a bad idea, right?
She took another sip of her drink, waiting for the app to load.
Seein' you tonight, it's a bad idea, right?
10 minutes wasn't bad. And the Uber could be at the bar in 5. Her thumb hovered over the confirmation button.

Fuck. That night still haunted her in her weaker, lonelier moments.

"Oh? Are we still pretending you don't like him?"
Émilie glanced up, rolling her eyes at her older sister's suggestive eyebrow wiggle.
"I only see him as a friend," the biggest lie I ever said
Oh, yes, I know that he's my ex, but can't two people reconnect?
"We've talked about this Lena." Emilie huffed in annoyance. "We're just friends, back to what we used to be."
Elena didn't look the least bit convinced but thankfully she didn't press further, instead holding up the shot. "Yeah, like y'all were ever just friends. Shots?"
Émilie nodded, setting her phone face down on the table, Uber temporarily ignored.
Both sisters took the shots and Émilie shook her head at the burn. Drinking Tequila wasn't a problem for Émilie having grown up with a Spanish half-sister, but shots of the alcohol always burned going down.
"I might go home early," Émilie said, raising her voice over the sudden roar of the room. Quickly she added, "I have to be in Switzerland tomorrow for little Emilie's birthday. Seb said he'd disown me if I wasn't there."
Elena nodded, "want Osc to take you home?"
Émilie shook her head and held up her phone, "I'm just gonna Uber."
Thankfully her inebriated sister took the lie at face value and gave Émilie a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"See you on Monday, chaton, okay?"
Émilie nodded and grabbed her purse before making her way outside to wait for Uber.
She looked at her phone and sent a message to Oscar (the only other person who knew about that night.) and asked him to distract Elena and keep her off her phone until she had to fly to Milton Keynes.
She watched his text bubble appear, disappear, and reappear several times before he sent a message.
Aussie buzzkill: Yeah I got you.
Aussie buzzkill: Don't do anything stupid, please.
She hearted his messages but didn't reply since her Uber showed up.
Now I'm gettin' in the car, wreckin' all my plans
I know I should stop-, but I can't
But mostly because she was about to do something stupid.
And I told my friends I was asleep
But I never said where or in whose sheets
The shot she'd done with Elena before leaving kept her mind pleasantly quiet, letting Émilie mindlessly browse Instagram on the short drive to his apartment building.
She thanked the driver and collected her purse from the seat beside her and walked into the lobby.
And I pull up to your place, on the second floor
And you're standin', smiling at the door
She buzzed his apartment and was unsurprisingly let in immediately.
She walked down the hall to the elevator and pressed the button, taking her up to his floor.
His place was only a few doors down, the door wide open with him leaning against the doorframe waiting for her.
And I'm sure I've seen much hotter men
But I really can't remember when
Lando’s curly hair was mussed, a few stray curls hanging down against his forehead and the top two buttons of his black button down were open.
He must have been out partying too, but 1 am was an awfully early time to call it quits.
He grinned at her, that stupid, smug grin that infuriated and made her warm in all the right places.
He had a glass of something alcoholic hanging loosely from his hand, which he lifted to his lips.
Seein' you tonight, it's a bad idea, right?
He was really fucking hot.

Émilie and Elena are half-sisters and racers on the grid, Émilie races for Redbull, and Elena raced for Mercedes from 2019 until she became Émilie's race Engineer in 2023.
Émilie and Lando are the same age, but Emilie made her F1 debut in 2022.
Émilie, Logan, and Oscar are best friends, having grown up karting together.

things that happened in the nhl today (that i’m aware of) (tuesday, november 28)
1. racist rapist team (bl*ckhawks) are covering up yet another scandal over corey perry. he's on waivers with the purpose of contract termination. the gm said it didn't involve anything with players/their families. reporters are more mad about this than they've ever been on much more pressing issues (team canada, sa coverups, etc)
2. anthony beauvillier traded to the racist rapists in exchange for a fifth round pick in the 2024 draft. the girlies are not taking this well.
3. p*trick k*ne signed with the red wings, which elated everyone (i don't follow any red wings fans so i didn't see any of their reactions) (sorry about y'all's lives)
4. mitch marner got hit in the face with a puck and played the rest of the game with a cage
5. sam bennet and max domi threw hands, bennet destroyed domi, domi shook his hair with his hands probably to make fun of bennet for being bald
6. tz and dixie breakup rumors on the same day that alex killorn confirmed that they were dating on spittin chiclets on their new episode
7. john marino cut his hair and i’m pretty sure dawson mercer did too
8. zack macewen on the senators got fined $2,018.23, the max allowed by the cba for unsportsmanlike misconduct against matthew tkachuk last night (utter bullshit imo. he literally attacked him)
9. lian bichel (texas stars player, ahl affiliate of the dallas stars) decided to exercise his right to return to sweeden
10. radko gudas day-to-day with a lower-body injury (this is not good for the ducks)
11. devils made a sick third period comeback from being down 4-2. brenden smith threw hands with anders lee. lee left bloody. then with 22.1 seconds left in the fourth, curtis lazar scored and they won 5-4
12. the leafs and the panthers went into a shootout. three rounds wasn't enough, so they went into a fifth. the panthers' evan rodrigues scored, so the panthers went off to the locker room. upon review, the goal was waved off because it was a rebound goal and players are not allowed to double tap during a shootout. the panthers had to be called back out for a sixth round and the leafs' noah gregor won the game
13. oilers and vgk also went into a shootout. oilers won it in three. the oilers played against vgk in round two of the playoffs last season, and the leafs played against the panthers in round two of the playoffs. this means that both teams that got eliminated in round two won in a shootout tonight against the team that knocked them out
and the night isn't over!

Agee with your anon's 2022 theory. I always thought it was somewhere in mid/late 2022 they got together for real. And it makes sense, in high school that's just way to complicated and long distance to do anything but just focus on the limited time you have together, and kinda ignore if there's anyone else when you're not together. Then in college basketball is the job so it's important to focus on that. I could see it being more fwb Az freshman year and then it was the post P's injury where it got serious for real and they've been together since. In 2021/early 2022 they really acted so kind of giddy, esp P, and by late 2023/2024 they give much more settled couple vibes (to me). I'm praying someday we get some ESPN feature on their story and the timeline is finally confirmed lol.
Love when y'all agree with my delulu, it makes me feel less insane. But yeah the St. John's interview is lowkey my roman empire because there's just something about it that's different from the preseason interviews or even the exhibition game interview like it just feels like something clicked, beyond just both of them being really happy that P was playing again.
I so agree with the they give settled vibes now (maybe that's just my shipper hat) which I think some people maybe misinterpret as disinterest sometimes because they're also very private. There's just this sense of calm in between them that I think is just very beautiful and you could really see it at the soft launch draft. But it's gone from i'm scared to look away because you're the best thing that's happened and what if you're gone to i know you're mine and i can take my eyes off you because i know you'll always be there. Does that make sense?

I'm a library assistant & spend most of my time out-of-school either at the temple, or helping my father with his shop. All of this info comes from IG, Kelsey & Brynn's podcast (out of line), Brynn's TikTok, Flyers beat reporters, Twitter, Tumblr, and the NHL website.
If I've missed anything or need to make any corrections lmk!
April 30, 2023
Trevor & Jamie attend Stagecoach music festival in CA and meet Kelsey & Brynn on Day 3 (April 30)
Trevor went up to Kelsey, he tapped her on the shoulder and asked her her name. They introduced themselves to each other. He asks "who's your friend" about Brynn and then introduces them to Jamie, introducing him as "his roommate".
In the podcast, Kelsey describes Jamie and Trevor as "absolutely hammered"
Trevor & Jamie tell them they're from California, that they were in college but dropped out to play hockey. They told them they're hockey players but at the time Kelsey & Brynn (who don't watch sports/hockey) didn't know that they meant professional hockey players for an NHL team.
They hang with them for a while (pics below) then as the girls are leaving T & J try to convince them to stay but they don't. At some point Brynn & Trevor exchange numbers - she has his number in her phone, presumably he texted himself from her phone in an effort to get the girls to meet up with them later on at SC. They don't end up meeting up again.
May-July 2023
A while later (after SC), Brynn is scrolling on TikTok and sees an edit of Trevor. She recognizes him.
She looks through her messages and pictures and finds them on IG and realizes that the two guys they met at SC are famous athletes.
They all follow each other on IG. Brynn, Kelsey, and Jamie are all still mutuals but Trevor unfollowed the girls pretty quickly.

Said it before, I think (and others also think that :P) that the show has been mapped out for at least 5 seasons with the way they are setting it up. - Oh! This is so smart. Something as intricate and complex as the Vampire Chronicles would have to be mapped out tbh. I just started Merrik so I am still new to the background but just reading the first one I got the feeling this saga was going to be one of the more convoluted (affectionate) stories I've read and I have read a lot of complex sagas. There is just so much background. I can't wait till we get to Lestat's story from his perspective. That is my favorite book so far. My mom read all of Anne Rice's books and I recently found out my brother also devoured The Vampire Chronicles in College. He says it can get a little weird when she goes through her religious spike but to stick to it because it is amazing.
BTW, I love your blog! Do you have recommendations for similar blogs? I want to just devour everything before the season starts but want to avoid any drama and I got a whiff of some drama a few months ago. I have been a fan of a certain pop singer since 2008 so suffice it to say, I can only handle so much inane shit in a fandom. My drama limit has already been reached for 2024 thanks to that fandom so I can take no more!😂

Sharper's KP Winter Fanfic Writing Contest
(Note: Yeah, most of this post is a copy and paste. It's basically to save my fingers from cramping up. :P )
Hey y'all and good evening. Hope y'all have a good Thanksgiving (or for those outside the US, hope y'all are having a good Thursday) and enjoyed the turkey (and the football games goin' on today).
With that aside, I am now going to host a fall/winter fanfic contest for the Kimmunity and for all the very talented fanfic writers here.
Here are the rules that will guide the contest
The contest must be specfic to that holiday. The holidays that are specific for this festival are as follows: *Thanksgiving *Hannukah *Christmas *Kwanzaa *Winter Solstice *New Years Eve *New Years Day
Any pairing is welcome, including any crossover pairings to pair with any of the KP characters.
The story must be a stand-alone. This means that the reader should not have to read another story first. Although it may be part of an existing universe.
The fanfic must be rated T and below. No mature fics will be accepted for this contest whatsoever.
The fanfic can be of any story or length BUT it must be turned in by January 7, 2024 at midnight (Central US time).
To enter your story in the contest, please put the hashtag as #winter fanfic contest and also put #kim possible in it so that, again, I can see the fic.
