His breath hitched in his throat as Henry let his kimono slide off his shoulders, tantalizingly down his arms, until they were pooled just above his elbow, revealing most of his back to Alex.
Henry’s skin was perfect and smooth, soft and pale, pristine but for the collection of freckles. Alex couldn’t help his fingers reaching out and drawing lines between Henry’s freckles. Henry didn’t stop him, though he could feel the pleasant shiver running up Henry’s spine, the way his spine flexed and contorted slightly. The idea that Henry was ticklish made him sigh happily, finally breathing.
After a few moments, Henry let out a little laugh. “The aftersun, dear. Don’t skimp.”
Right.

Satomi directs Derek’s attention back to the scroll. “Everything in life is about balance. Life and death. Good and evil. Wolf and human. Even the elemental forces of nature have a push and pull, although severe disruptions can threaten the ecosystems currently in place.
“Ever since there was sentient life, an ancient race known as the Mondoshawans have used their knowledge to help maintain that balance. But just as there is good, there is evil. Those who thrive on chaos. So the Mondoshawans created a Fifth Element—a Supreme Being—as part of a weapon to help anchor the elements in place and counter evil’s destruction.”
“Stiles?” Derek asks, his voice pitching higher in disbelief. “You expect me to believe that Stiles—skinny, defenseless Stiles—is the Fifth Element?”

For my birthday in September an anonymous gifter bought me a commission from @seanchaidh7! Here it is! (I couldn’t be more thrilled with it - look at how beautiful they are! Look at the lighting in the hall! Look at their beautiful expressions! Ashley is AMAZING in every way!!)
This art is based on Chapter 15 of my ongoing Sterek COVID roommates fic, The Great Bi Awakening:
And Derek was now fully facing Stiles and they'd stepped closer to each other.
"Yeah?" breathed Stiles as Derek looked at his lips again and then looked Stiles in the eyes.
Derek nodded.
Stiles - he just couldn't think. Because Derek Hale was beautiful. The most beautiful person to have ever been created. And Derek Hale opened up to him and would rip his soul out for Stiles if he thought that was what it took to help Stiles. And Stiles would do the same in a second. Immediately.
And that's when Stiles realized it, fully and completely and without a doubt. That's when he knew that this is what it feels like - this, here, with Derek - this is what it feels like to love someone. Wholly and completely and without reservation. The opening up and the vulnerability and the trust and the safety, it was love. And having a past with a person, and being best friends with them. And picking out their furniture and them holding you when you cry and then wiping the snot off of your face in the still of the night. This was love.
He was in love with Derek Hale. And he was pretty damn sure that Derek Hale was in love with him.
His lips were so close, and when Stiles looked up, Derek was staring in his eyes. He looked so impassioned and open and ready . Like he wanted to move in closer but he just couldn't move those last few inches.
So Stiles did it for him.

Stiles snorted. “I’m working.” He snapped his fingers. “Too bad.”
Derek inclined his head. “Aren’t you the boss?”
He straightened, annoyed. “Yes.”
“Don’t you make your own hours?”
“Don’t you have somewhere to be?”
Derek’s grin sharpened at the edges, eyes glinting with something hard. “Never.”
“Must be nice,” Stiles grumbled.
He lifted his brows.
Stiles flushed. Stupid, spoiled, rich man-child. He pulled at the sleeves of his sweater. “I’m busy. Unless you’re going to buy something…”
Derek plucked two bookmarks—the expensive, metal kind—from the display next to him without looking and slid them across the counter.
Stiles seethed silently. It’s a sale, he reminded himself while he rang them up. “Thank you…sir.” He slid the bookmarks and receipt across the counter.
“See you later, Stiles.” He tapped the bookmarks on the counter before sauntering out.

Derek slid into the water behind him, wrapping around him all hot and wet, arms hooked around his waist, head tipped against Stiles’s as he stared off toward the woods, toward the deep, clear blue of the sky. here's a snip from proposal au titled "the full spectrum of human emotion" which also now has gorgeous art from @seanchaidh7 eeeeep! so naturally i pulled from that section for this:
Henry is looking expectantly at Alex, something buried in his gaze that Alex's liquor-addled brain can't fully comprehend. It looks not dissimilar to his eyes when he had wrapped large fingers around Alex's waist at the engagement party and pulled him a little closer after meeting Liam for the first time. Unfortunately, the thought is really just as fucking appealing now as it was during that party. He can't be fucking helped.
"Yeah, I was just going to go get a drink anyway." Liam shoots Henry a small smile, squeezes Alex's bicep in goodbye, and walks away.
"Jealous, are we?" Alex can't help but needle him just a little. "It's okay if you are, I won't stop you." The idea of Ice Queen Henry being green with envy is doing a lot for Alex and his neurons right now. He really is completely fucking hopeless.
"You're incorrigible," Henry says with a small laugh. "But he had his turn." His mouth lifts up at the corner, a little crooked, a whole lot endearing. "Now it's mine."

Last song: I've got Spotify on on my TV and it won't let me lie: Closing Time by Semisonic. Currently listening to my 90s classic playlist
Last film: Eeek, I think this was... The Holiday, on the plane, when I was going on holiday in December? Or the first half of Juliet, Naked, which is one of my favourite films. I watched that this week but didn't finish bc it was bedtime and I was tireeeeed.
Currently reading: A Power Unbound! Finally, after I finished writing this series, I can dive in. Forcefully reminding myself to not get too distracted by tumblr games today and forget to pick up the book 😂
Currently watching: losing my mind at the second series of The Traitors (UK), thanks for asking. This morning I am thankful for CLAUDIA WINKLEMAN and that's all I will say.
Currently consuming: I have a pleasantly full belly following a pancake breakfast. This question gives me the vibe of like 'in general' though, so I'm gonna say M&S mini whips which are these little milk chocolate things filled with gooey marshmallow that I picked up the other day and now am dependent on for my emotional wellbeing.
Currently craving: full tummy and all, but now that I've mentioned them, a mini whip wouldn't go amiss.

He can’t explain why he slows down once he hears the low, foreign murmur, the voice so quiet it is almost impossible to pick up. He has places to go, errands to run, especially with the annual harvest festival coming up in a few weeks.
But he hears it, and suddenly he’s intrigued.
