La Jolla Cove is most well known for its calm waters. Making it a great place to swim/snorkel. There’s actually a world famous diving site nearby if your into that sort of thing. You can book a tour and swim through natural oceanic caves! -- That might be a little thrill seeking for myself and my kids so besides that it is the most charming little beach town and there’s plenty to do! We spent nearly our entire day here. We watched the waves roll in for awhile near this really neat walk out/pier thing they have. We also watched the seals for awhile. They like the calm waters so you’ll almost always find seals lying on the beach or nearby rocks. Honest warning that it is REALLY hilly! I might look cute in this outfit now but that was BEFORE I pushed our stroller up these hills! It was worth it though because I purchased the boys some cute little “La Jolla Seal” tshirts and we got GELATO! All in all a great beach day without getting wet or too sandy.
