i'm turning 30 this weekend and the number never really scared me? im not scared of not being in my 20s anymore; these years were fucked, anyway. the only thing that spooked me growing up honestly was just not being where i thought i'd be, and i'm definitely not so it's Bumming me Out.
feasible lifestyle changes aside, there's this environmentally-induced stagnation that's like-- thrust upon me LMFAO and absolutely outside of my control. i cant unfuck our circumstances, i'm just the 1 person keeping things from absolutely falling apart so i'm boxed in. a lot of things are out of reach and my mental health's deteriorating bc of it, so i just run on autopilot to compensate.
i dont think ill ever be able to own my own house, and i dont think things will get better b/c these issues have been cycling for over 10 years. i yo-yo between going numb from the pressure and then feeling like a bad daughter for not being able to cope w/ it better anymore lmao. cant help but be envious of the 99% of my friends whose families are (at least mostly!) self-sufficient. must be nice!

🌹 Where in the world does your OC feel most at home? Is there any reason why? If it’s not the place they were born, where were they born? Is there a certain somebody that makes them feel at home where ever they may be? What does home mean to them?
ROWAN — rowan’s always been looking for a home, since she had to move around a lot with her family because of her magic. it wasn’t until kirkwall, and meeting merrill + her friends that she realized that home could be a group of people rather than a place. she loves kirkwall, but it’s full of painful memories and she’s always been rather rootless anyways!
THEO — even though wayhaven isn’t a large town, theo feels most at home, well, at home! her apartment is her own little safe haven. as a whole, she loves wayhaven, even though the people are far too nosey for her liking. after meeting farah, theo knows that her home would be far more boring without her there.
🌿 What way does your OC show that they care without using words? What way do others show your OC that they’re cared about without using speech?
ROWAN — close proximity and offering help! rowan’s always there to help. she’s immensely loyal, so just being there for her friends, offering to help with no questions asked, is how she shows she cares. other’s show they care about rowan by also being loyal and having her back when she needs them!
THEO — spending time with the people she cares about! even if it’s doing mundane things, theo’s love language is very much quality time and this goes for both friends and romantic partners. other’s show they care about theo by trusting her, as well as supporting her when she needs a little help.
🌼 Who are this characters friends and found family? How did they meet, how long have they been friends for, could they ever be something more than just friends? What do they look for in a friend or a romantic partner?
ROWAN — naturally, rowan’s found family are her friends she met in kirkwall! merrill, specifically, is her closest friend, but she’s also her girlfriend. but outside of merrill, rowan’s very close with varric and anders. rowan looks for people who support mage rights, obviously, but also people who are willing to stick up for the little guy.
THEO — though they started off the wrong foot, unit bravo has become a very important part of theo’s life. she’s especially close with farah and nat, but even ava and morgan are close, respected teammates. theo and farah hit it off very well, and theo appreciates farah’s forward, flirtatious attitude. theo looks for people who are friendly and welcoming, but who also like to have fun. farah was a perfect fit for her!

look i obviously love captain marvel & carol but i think hands down the funniest thing is that the whole fucking movie is like “if you hate propaganda..... and you hate entitled imperialistic governments lying to its citizens to indoctrinate people to fight for the imaginary cause of freedom and protection when really theyre just taking away the homes and lives of innocent people........... you should join the us military” like the level of tone deafness is awe inspiring
