i made a cover for my (completed) 300k camileda fic! it's supposed to be for a vanity epub i'm making but i'm predicting that i'll spend the next year trying to figure out how to make scrivener tag custom styles as div rather than span so i can have the fun text message bubbles in the epub as well. (and then i'll learn that kobo doesn't understand that css and it'll all be for nothing but i'm having fun!)

Immediate enormous bump in my road is having to do all this research bcs the next ch of cta is a half step out of my knowledge base. And this is smth im doing for fun. Everyone who just sticks to one character/culture they already know are actually the sane ones here.

omg re what program you use to write i was OBSESSSED with ohwrite during nanowrimo it basically lets you create a room (and other people can be in that room and there's a chatbox if you want to write parallel to other people but i also think it's good on it's own) and there's a sprint function you can turn on/off. but the best part is the little progress bar on the side and it gives you a star for every 100 words and a bigger star for 1000 words LITERALLY THE ONLY REASON I WON NANOWRIMO WAS BEACUSE I WANTED TO COLLECT ALL THE STARS LOL. i don't really use the sprint function anymore because i rarely sprint but i still pop in there when i want to write but i need to be pushed to do it. the stars always get me they make me feel like a horse being fed sugarcubes for writing words

what i should be doing: writing. seriously i need to be fucking writing what i did do instead the last hour: re-sorting my books. which would be less dramatic if I did not have very many books and very little space, which makes 'sorting' a very generous kind of description

203 new words today on the section I'm still trying to rework. Today was a struggle and then my computer crashed, so I'm taking that as a sign to let myself quit, lol.

Behold: all of the basic themes that come pre-programed with windows scriv (as of version 3.1.4.1) as my google-fu has been useless and i haven't been able to find visual examples of all of these in one place.

Now i can decide if i like any of these, want to tweak any to make them ideal, or go hunting for custom-made or homebrew my own.
