Common name(s): gray scoopwing moths
Scientific name: Callizzia amorata
Can it hurt me?: No
Can it hurt my plants?: Not really. The caterpillars mostly feed on snowberry and honeysuckle but aren’t really known for doing notable damage to them.
Should I kill it?: No
Anything else I should know?: These moths are fairly recognizeable by the way in which they hold their wings.
