According to Health Minister Alain Berset, these measures are binding with immediate effect, all other behaviour is illegal): This is an ordinance, which means it is mandatory. I assume that it will be implemented, everything else is illegal. Drove over to lake Bodensee at Mannenbach. Caught boat up to Stein am Rhine. Walked around the town. Had brats and drinks from MarktBrunnen. Stopped in Uferlos - An der Schifflände for coffee

John and Barbara tried to find a geocache but couldn’t. Caught train back to car then drove over to Rheinfall. Drove back through Gossau to see Barbara’s brothers printing shop. Then home

I went to the open church, and killed a fair bit of time taking a tour there. The stained glass is so gorgeous. Then I got remarkably lost, which was wonderful, and had eisuru Gelato, which, the mint and pink lemon flavours are amazing, and I also ate at vapiano, which I didn't know was a chain, but was wonderful anyway. I'm staying at swissotel because it was heavily discounted, and I have seriously fallen in love with this place

Sounds good! :D The Münster (the cathedral) is also very nice to look at.

I hope you’ll get to try Gasparini ice cream, they’re in my humble opinion some of the best ice cream ever. There are Gasparini street vendors, but there are also popsicle versions you should be able to get in the stores (Migros or Coop)

There’s also a newish frozen yoghurt place at the Schifflände. Also there, but I haven’t tried it yet, is a chocolate store called Xocolatl. The Schiesser tea room at the Marktplatz is also really nice (though maybe slightly confusing to access, because you’ll have to go through a small confisserie shop, to the back and then up the stairs to get there.)

Also, cupcake affair. Yummy. I could go on.

(Great, now I want to go to Basel. Maybe I can get my sister to come with me tomorrow. I want frozen yoghurt and chill on Münsterplatz)

Hi again 😊 I'm a Baselländler too actually I just say "Basler" when worried about letter limits! I'd recommend the ice cream outside globus if you can treat yourself bc it is a little bit more expensive but so good 🍦I've actually never been into any of the Starbucks in Basel- I like to go and write at the Street Café above the Sutter bakery (again at Schifflände bc it's the End stop for my bus so). What's your favourite thing about summer in Basel?

I’ve never been in the Street Café at the Schifflände. Gotta try it out…!

I don’t actually do much in summer in Basel. I try to avoid going outside if it’s hot AND I’m a bit of a lazy person. I used to go to the Joggeli or Grün80 because I went to school in Münchenstein/ lived in Muttenz as a kid. But now I live on a hill with bad Postauto connections so going out just for the sake of going out isn’t something I do often anymore.

If you have suggestions on what to do I’d be happy to try it! ;D
