Jason leans over his balcony, cold, damp breeze ruffling his hair, and looks at Gotham.
Gotham's a hard city. Hard lines, hard concrete, buildings jutting up like jagged teeth. Sometimes he wonders which came first, the madness or the architecture, but does it really matter?
He takes a drag, holds it, and exhales. God, what a night. He hadn't expected...well, that's not right. He'd been hopeful, stupidly hopeful. Optimism has always been his fatal flaw, he guesses.
He glances down at his dying cigarette, then into his darkened apartment, and mentally goes fuck it before shaking out another one. He won't be sleeping tonight, he knows that, but he can't face going in just yet, either. Not now.
It's been a long night.

Jason gives Lemon a filthy look and adjusts the ice pack on his fingers. Lemon glares right back.
"Drop it doesn't mean chew faster," he grinds out. The teeth marks are still visible. They'll bruise. "Banana peels aren't fucking food. Your food is in your bowl! It's right there!"
She looks unimpressed. That makes two of them. He didn't ask for this. He'd been cooking, minding his own business, and she'd gotten a damn peel out of the trash! And then, when he did the responsible thing and tried to take it, had ignored his fingers and chomped faster. He'd gotten it, sure, but what the fuck?
"This is the worst injury I've had in two weeks, and that's including the bastard with the brick," he gripes. "Look what you did to me! Gaze upon your crime!"
He waves his injured fingers in front of her face. Lemon doesn't even have the good grace to look at them. Jason sighs and wraps them back in the cold pack.
"I'm not giving you any of my dinner," he warns. "And that's final."

Ok now that each of the verses have been revealed (watch them make the championsverse for previous winners) what I don’t get is why is Scaryverse the twist verse and not Scrambleverse.
Now if I had it my way here’s how each verse would be used.
Scrambleverse is twists - Twists force people to scramble to make sense of how it helps/hurts them. Also they can stop raiding their local spirit Halloween.
Humiliverse is hoh - it could be swapped with scary but humili makes more sense since punishments can be humiliating and have nots exist.
Comics is veto - the only comics comp that’s been used is reward/veto and since bb comics is a veto comp I think it fits here.
Scaryverse should be reward/endurance- This is because the nether was a waste since it didn’t grant full immunity, and I think that it could make for some more interesting comps. Also the nemigorgan could dish out rewards.
The only reason I feel this way is that it feels like there’s no set order for the themes. It’s either a full week or it’s not. If there had to be a set order it could’ve been scary/humiliating is hoh, Scrambleverse/comics is veto scary/humiliating is punishments, and scary/comics is reward.
