Today is the first anniversary of the passing of Joel Schumacher, the director of The Lost Boys 🖤🦇🍾🍷✨🏍️🎷🤘🏻💀🌙 He was openly gay at a time when few were out of the closet. He directed many successful Hollywood films. He changed how Hollywood viewed movie soundtracks with how successful the sales were for The Lost Boys soundtrack. He understood the importance of music in film before most did. The aesthetics on his films were always amazing. On December 22, 2015 Brooke McCarter died. He maybe lost, but he is not forgotten. ❤️ He had discovered he had a genetic disorder 6 months before that ended up claiming his life. He left behind a young daughter, siblings and his mom. I never met him, but he sounded like a wonderful person! He was a very talented actor, model, musician and singer! He was beloved by many fans! I had to research a ton before even starting the cosplay. I realized there were 3 different versions of Paul's jacket based off screenshots and publicity pics for the movie. Other details in the costume were not as consistent as films are now.
