So I watched WW84, and this scene was a MiphLink scene if I ever did see one.

I SAW WW84
BITCh
spoilers below~
prepare to cry. you will literally be crying this whole movie? I’m not even kidding, even the FIGHT SCENES are emotional. you thought no man’s land in the first movie was emotional? BITCH.
I do have quite a few qualms, which is why ww84 is not as good as wonder woman (2017) to me:
cheetah doesn’t need to be there, as much as I hate to say it, because I love cheetah. there’s zero reason for her to be there. while BARBARA HERSELF is needed and important for the plot, cheetah isn’t. her becoming cheetah in general just straight up doesn’t make sense, considering her wish was to be diana, not a cheetah or even an animal. this movie could have been made without her transforming, and they could have saved her as the Big Bad for WW3 (considering that she IS wonder woman’s Big Bad). their mistake was not trusting pedro pascal enough as a villain, because he could have (and SHOULD have) done it all on his own.
I don’t like how deeply unhappy diana is without steve in every single second of her life in the first half of the movie. like, y’all know I love wondertrev and y’all know I love steve, but I really don’t like how much it hammers home that diana just fucking hates her life every second of every day for about 70 years before her boyfriend is brought back to life. I don’t like that her enjoyment of life is non-existent, just because steve is no longer alive.
don’t like how they made it very clear that steve was just in diana’s head and this random dude was under mind control, but they had sex anyway even though the dude has like 0 consent
wonder woman played too much defense throughout the whole movie. I get that she’s peaceful, but she’s still a warrior! let her curb stomp a few villains!! she should have ripped maxwell’s face off after what he did with steve, and she... didn’t. and I know it wouldn’t be ~wonder woman~ if she did. but I WANTED HER TO OKAY
it doesn’t give you enough time to comprehend what’s happening (mainly with maxwell’s powers) before the plot moves on
in the same vein, it’s too long to a fault and there’s no real reason for it. this is the reason why the last jedi is unwatchable to me. I don’t think it’s that bad, but it does lag. so it’s perfect for an HBO max release, because it gives a viewer time to take a break if they need to (honestly, I needed one)
this one is NOT a qualm, but if they don’t bring steve back for good in ww3 or flashpoint, they’re doing all of these characters a disservice. he was AMAZING in ww84, and his “death” in this movie broke me even more than the first one did
everything else was fabulous. 8.5/10
