I think it's interesting because while Dragons Rising IS following the standard from the 11-minute era of remaining kinda childish, it also has extremely fucked up moments?
Like the way Ras slammed Arin into the ground in episode 1 was INSANE, the way we SEE Levo's aircraft have that explosion then crash and explode AGAIN in episode 18 had my jaw drop to the floor, and the scene where Beatrix chops off Jiro's armor but you obviously are meant to think it's his head in episode 19... like that's BEYOND fucked up.

OKAY THOUGHTS!!! Spoilers obviously!!
This was SO RTD like bro you have done this!!! We had a whole TenToo already!!!!
Fourteen better call Martha ASAP bc I think she deserves it! Like Mel and Donna AND MARTHA (not to mention Tegan and Ace) (I did keep waiting for Martha to show up at the end)
Mel showing up was VERY good I loved the way he softly said “hello” to her like he was marveling that she was there :) and it made it feel more like a proper anniversary episode
The “Adric” “Adric” really got to me because I think it’s like very important both historically in the show and also to Five and the Doctor in general
The list of Moffat companions and how they died but didn’t really die with the Toymaker’s “Well that’s alright then” was good!! Clara mention my beloved
It feels like RTD is deliberately shaking off the angst to prepare for a more joyful show, but also I love angsty Doctor and self-righteous Doctor and ancient and tired Doctor, so I hope that Fifteen gets to have some of that!! Judgmental and sad and powerful and unhinged Doctor is part of the charm and I really hope we don’t push that aside entirely
Okay “the one who waits” sure that’s set up for something still to come
Also: Master coming back!!!
I’m interested in the long term implications for the show. I’m sure they’ll sort this out eventually but can Fourteen regenerate? What is bigeneration? Like does Fifteen have all Fourteen’s memories, like beyond what Fourteen had already done? Is Fifteen like the next regeneration come early or are there two different Doctors forever now? (Again, I’m sure we’ll find out in time.)
Oh and Neil Patrick Harris fucking killed it this ep I loved the accent switches and the showmanship, he was good!!!
Overall thoughts: AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Sure to become very iconic, a nice conclusion to the trilogy, and I’m excited to see what’s next! Excited about Christmas :))) !!!!!
