brief(ish) bio:

fiorella dondarrion ( born fiorella storm ) is the bastard daughter of the ruling lord of house dondarrion by one of his wife’s wet nurses. her birth caused quite the stir at blackhaven, with rumors claiming that lady dondarrion attempted to smother an infant fiorella in a fit of rage. all of this ongoing drama resulted in her being sent to the capital to be fostered by ser criston and his bride doranah at the knight’s father’s behest. still, this was not exactly the end of fiorella’s woes, as the pair struggled to bond with her in spite of having no surviving children of their own. plus, she was somewhat ostracized by those around her for being a known bastard child. it wasn’t until she was legitimized and became a companion of queen alicent’s children that she began to earn more respect from those around her. prince aegon in particular was said to have been fond of her from the very start. the two were both lost souls pushed to their limits from an early age. thus, they were able to bond over it. aegon found in fiorella what he felt he had no were else; solace. knowing such, fiorella was successfully able to win a young aegon’s heart. the targaryen prince originally wished to marry her, but was pushed to marry his younger sister, helaena, to keep the bloodline pure instead. in order to keep the dondarrions on their side, the greens initially considered betrothing her to aemond, but eventually got away with marrying her to off to an ally of the crown, the older weslar westerling. due to this, she was able to remain in the capital and close to aegon. neither fiorella or aegon were happy within their marriages, but were able to make do by becoming each others lovers in secret. there was a lot of secret rendezvous and passing glances between the two. nevertheless, it wasn’t super difficult for those close to aegon to notice the way he looked at fiorella. by the time the dance commences, fiorella has become aegon’s most trusted ally. it’s believed she had the largest influence on him, often fueling his erratic actions. in truth, she had a way of manipulating most of those around her with her innocent demeanor. however, behind that mask was a thirst for power and the respect she was robbed of as a child. that was her main reason for enamoring aegon, not love. fiorella loved the idea of what aegon could offer her more so than him as a person, whereas he loved the unconditional support and acceptance she had to offer. in spite of all of these efforts though, she is never able to officially wed aegon, even after helaena’s death. instead, she was wed to lanse tyrell iii after aegon perishes. he is the only spouse she had surviving children with.

a note on brazilians

in the past year tumblr has become a lot more interested in brasil and our celebrities. I think it started around when Deus Salve O Rei started and everyone loved the medieval aesthetic and Bruna Marquezine. But the world cup increased this interest a lot. And basically... a lot of you have no idea what Brasil is and it shows. 

Brasil is a very ethnically diverse country. It’s huge (fifth largest country) and it has a large population. You know what it also has???

white people.

a whole lot of them.

And you guys don’t seem to understand that, so you will create fancasts for POC characters and use brazilian actors and be like... but they are brazilian. And... nah. That person is white, they just happened to be born in Brasil.

Just a few examples:

I don’t think anyone would say Giselle Bunchen (model and Tom Brady’s wife) is poc.... She is brazilian though. Rodrigo Santoro (actor in the westworld) is brazilian and a lot of you seem to think he is poc... he isn’t, I literally know his family and they are white, they are descended from italians.

Brasil had a similar development to America:

it had a diverse native population that has mostly disappeared because of europeans (i think the last census put the native population in around 1%)

white europeans came (portuguese) and for 300 years black africans were brought here unwillingly to work on the plantations. Brasil had the biggest slave population in the americas.

and from the 1800′s to the 1950′s we had a huge boom of immigration. mostly from white europeans but we also had, for example, a lot of japanese immigrants, we have the largest japanese population outside of japan. 

There is no such thing as someone who is of the brazilian race. Brazilian is a nationality.

I really don´t know if it´s a cultural trait in Brazil (maybe brazilian friends can clear it out for me), but I´m watching this Brazilian period drama, Deus salve o Rei (a masterpice, by the way), and men characters, good men, bad men, powerful men, coward men, brave men, kings, peasants, heroes, villains, they cry all the time. They sad cry, they anger cry, they cry in anguish. They hug each other. They say their other male friends they love them. They cry way more than the female characters, go figure. It´so refreshing to see male characters to be allowed to express their feelings and emotions in such a healthy way. I´ve never seen anyting like it. So, if it is indeed a Brazilian cultural trait (it´s definitely NOT  a general latin american trait, I know, I´m latina), wow guys, bravo! Good for you!

I think you’re right about Ney missing the affection and feeling of someone loving him and to come home too. 

I think they both have to put much effort in the relationship (also bc of the distance), but in all honesty I think they did that last time too. She was often in Barcelona and when she was she was there for a really long time. She was with him on vacay in the US and then Africa… Only thing that lacked - looking at it from the outside - was her supporting him from the stands.

Yeah I agree: it feels like they’re trying to force that ‘best couple of the world’ vibe on you. Like even Jelena wasnt that extra when they met up and continue to meet up tbh. They just looked really cute on that bike having fun (to compare comeback couples haha). 

And indeed her Insta - promo -activity together with the increase of followers is also just…. Maybe a coincidence, but a very lucky one then… 

Davi on that boat looked bored indeed, but we can’t say they didn’t do anything fun. I mean with Carol he indeed looked like he had more fun, but thats also bc they made it fun for him. Jumping off the boat and peddling on the sea… I think Ney didn’t thought that one out well and the fact that Davi likes to do things (like any kid his age). Like I said its also easier to bound when you do things with the other person. That way you also have something to talk about haha. 

I dont think he’s using him for pics or anything. But I agree the perfect family doesn’t excist. The perfect life doesn’t excist nor does the perfect person. Everyone has a scar or something going on in their lives. You may not see it, but everyone has their issues/thins they deal with.
