A pointless post of my hyperfixation history on Tumblr.
The reason why I set up my account (I think 11 years ago): Once Upon a Time (Rumbelle shipper). No longer applicable; it wasn't really that good from season 2.
The (long) lurking years: A Song of Ice and Fire. Still valid.
Fandom that took me out of lurker mode and inspired me to start writing fanfic in 2021: Shadow and Bone (Aleksander stan). No longer applicable.
Fandom that made my creativity explode (fanfic, stills, gifs, fanvids): Rings of Power. As expected, a Halbrand/Sauron fan. Still very much in my heart. Season 2 better be good! I have been enjoying myself too much to lose this.
Joined in 2023 by Foundation and The Terror (gifs, stills and one fanvid for both). Favourite characters: Hari Seldon and Francis Crozier, respectively. Still alive and well.
Joined in 2024 by Discworld. Just sharing quotes, since my usual fanworks are for visual media. It's hard to do a video without footage when you can't draw. :-) Favourite character: Havelock Vetinari.

For Your Consideration
2023 year was my first year in the fandom (well, technically 2022 was my first year in the fandom and the year I made my Belle rp blog, but in terms of actually contributing something to the fandom 2023 was my first year).
I started it off with great ambitions regarding writing and gifing and editing. I ended up posting only a handful of gifsets, three ficlets, two of which I wrote for Rumbelle Showdown (shoutout to @jackabelle73 for hosting this wonderful event last year, by the way), and 0 fanvids/edits. I'm not particularly proud of it, and I really, really wanna make much more content this year. We'll see how it goes 😅
Anyway, I still decided to give participating in @the-chipped-cup-awards a try. It looked fun last year, when I was only a bystander.
So, without further rambling, I offer to your consideration what little I wrote and made in the year 2023.

My boyfriend insists on only playing the new God Of War game if I’m there watching him, because he wants me to be able to follow along with the story with him. He’s also explaining to me to plot of the previous games as as we go whenever I have questions and it’s honestly really fucking cute to hear him excitedly talk about it.
Just watched him fight Thor and the fucker was taunting Kratos with the standard “Where’s the guy who killed so-and-so?”, “Is this really the guy who accomplished this-and-that?” type of remarks, and every time my boyfriend would just be like “Yeah I did that. I did that too. And I did that.” All proud sounding and shooting me these little looks as if he was trying to show-off or something. Like aww, yes babe, I’m very impressed by your video-gaming prowess. You wield your controller very well. Look at you go!

So one time somebody complimented my eyes and for some fucking reason my immediate response was “Thanks, they were a birthday present!” And everything got hella awkward after that because apparently that was a very weird thing to say…
So now I’m sitting here thinking about Belle possibly complimenting Rumple’s eyes in the enchanted forest and him just not knowing how to take a compliment so he just blurts out “Thanks they’re cursed!”

Headcannon that a Rumplestiltskin would get very confused/wary when someone he knows starts identifying as ‘Pan’, and that explaining that they mean ‘Pansexual’ would clarify absolutely nothing and just weird him out more.
Like seriously he would not understand (but like not in a homophobic way, but genuine confusion and misunderstanding)
Imagine this for a moment. “What do you mean you’re Pan? He’s dead. I killed him myself…. Your sexuality is…. No- don’t… don’t tell me that! I don’t want to know you get your rocks off to the thought of my father! Dear God!”

Hi! I'm Di (but you can also call me Spades), a twenty-something disaster head over heels for Rumbelle (and its variants), Anyelle and Anyem, as well as Robert Carlyle and Emilie De Ravin, of course.
