I haven’t kept up much with your blog and teammates swap (been very busy lately) but I would love to know how you think Susie’s fire magic works. Like would her fire magic be only destructive or would it be healing as well? I would especially like to know how it would work in a weird route.

Her magic would only be destructive but she can control it! (…..mostly.) I feel like she’d use it in and out of battle similarly to toriel and asgore’s magic. Throwing fireballs and heating up food with it. But she has all of the fire stuff a person with fire magic would have. (Like breathing fire for example.) I don’t think any of her fire powers would be healing, but she does have healing magic because of ralsei. It’s a little stronger than the original susie’s not by that much though. (It heals 3hp instead of 1hp.)

The times she can’t control it 100% is when her emotions get out of control. If she’s pissed off for example, her powers gets stronger and more chaotic.

This is helpful in battles actually. During certain boss fights (not the secret fights), she gets a little stronger and her red/rudebuster would require more tp. And also she looks like this in battle :

I was actually thinking about making her a bit of a glass cannon because of this but I need to brainstorm a bit on that—

As for the weird route, susie was originally was going to go through the weird route instead of noelle (it was more of a role swap than it is now). So i kinda had an idea on how it’d work? Though, I don’t think I’d do anything with it because burning innocent citizens to a burnt crisp is a little more…graphic??? than being frozen in a block of ice. Then again, turning people into icicle kabobs isn’t better either, huh…………

So basically I relized that if ANYONE finds out about kris’s situation first it will be Susie, given her scene in Chp2 after spamton fight. I Imagine this would take place in late game after an unbroken Werid run maybe chp 5.

(Ie Snow Grave continued into other chapters if that makes sense) ik that Toby said only one route but like.

I wanted to relize this concept. Lemme have this.

I think that Susie finds out in any route first but like this is the werid route version. I think kris would just tell her in normal. If proceeding Susie will kill whoever and then just run off. She’d be on her own from then on warning everyone she comes across to stay away from kris. Cuz their dangerous in a fun reverse from chp 1 anyways I’m rambling now and I’m out of thoughts that aren’t heheh parrells.

Fug, something just occurred to me. Count this as a Deltarune Theory. So, Susie learns UltimateHeal. A little known fact is that when Ralsei says “You aren’t supposed to use it like an attack” in regards to Susie, that is actually a mechanic in-game. UltimateHeal comes out at the same point when Susie would use an attack like RudeBuster - Ie, basically right at the start of the turn. This is in contrast with other Heal spells, which typically come out just before enemies attack - and after your normal attacks and when you can Spare enemies. This is it’s single advantage over other healing spells, as the battle will end before other Heal spells activate If you pump up Susie’s magic with items such as the Dealmaker and Jevilsknife, it can heal about 12 HP. That’s enough to heal a glancing blow. Therefore, one of the only arguable uses for it right now would be to heal an ally in the same turn you know a battle will end; for example, when the other party members are using Spare. This will top you off a little if an ally has been hit like, once. And that is the unique trait of this heal - Unlike others, it will be able to trigger just before the battle ends. It also costs 100TP, so if you use it, it will essentially dump all your TP at the end of a fight to heal one character right at the end of a battle. Susie has shown an interest in learning healing, so her abilities will probably make this spell a little better over time. Even at the end of Chapter 2, her magic jumps up from 1 at levels 1 and 2 to 3, representing her desire to learn magic. So it won’t just be a meme spell, I think But... It’s called “UltimateHeal.” Ultimate doesn’t mean “The Best.” It means “The Last In A Sequence.” UltimateHeal can uniquely be cast at the very end of a battle. ...Is it a fucking pun?? Is that the play here??

genuinely such a good idea to make your main battle theme be something so good players would never get tired of hearing it since they'll be encountering it so often. like, compared to like, games like pokemon where the wild theme will inevitably just kind of grate on me after awhile.
