Phylum Round 1.5
Xenacoelomorpha: Small, flat, worm-like animals that live in marine and brackish sediments, and sometimes around hydrothermal vents. They can be free-living, symbiotic, or parasitic. A unique feature is that their stomachs lack nerve cells, unlike many other animals. Their evolutionary relationship to the rest of Animalia has been highly debated, and very little is known about their lifestyles.
Micrognathozoa: Presumably the smallest phylum, this group consists of a single species, Limnognathia maerski. In addition to being the smallest phylum, it may also be the smallest animal, with an average length of 100 micrometers. Despite this, it has complex jaws with 15 independently moving parts. Since this phylum has not been well-studied, all individuals that have been collected so far have been female.

man i think i’m 5 seconds away from a mental breakdown
#I’m actually running out of money now despite working 6 days a week and making 6 figures#Because I bought my acreage with my brother and factored him paying 1/3 of the expenses BUT he’s decided to be unemployed for 1.5 years#I pay the mortgage mortgage insurance utilities internet groceries#I have $800/month in student loan payments#I have to spend like $150/week on gas because my commute is 2 hrs round trip every day#I only eat one meal a day usually because I don’t have the time to grocery shop or cook usually and my brother only cooks for himself#I do all of the chores and at least 1/2 of the yard work#I have the heaviest workload of any of my coworkers (which has been acknowledged but my manager says his hands are tied#Because if he took work off of my plate he’s have to give it to someone else and there is no one else)#I’m being severely underpaid at my job ($4 under the STARTING wage for a pharmacist now despite me working there for 3 years.#But I “got the largest raise last year” lmfao#I’ve been seeing someone but he works nights and his schedule is wack and it results in me going to bed at 3am some nights#I’m also on call this week so I have to be ready to answer calls at any time past 11pm#My hair is legit pulling out in clumps and my hair is half of my personality :(#i’m about to mcfuckin lose it#Brain feels like mashed potato#Oh also I’m on my fucking period

propaganda: i love halicka's artworks in general but these collages are so precious to me in particular. you can see some of them in Villa la Fleur in Konstancin, but sadly i dont think there has ever been an exhibition with all of them. the fabrics are really pretty and the characters are always doing something interesting (theres ones with circus performers, and one with horse races, and many with musicians...). looking at them i feel almost like i was a kid playing with dolls again. i wish i could make collages like these.

Each of the following characters received 56 votes in Round 1. Because of the way the math works out, the loser of this poll will have to compete in the losers bracket, while the other two will be Wild Cards in the winners bracket.
Character 32: They have the personality of a puppy so long as you ignore their whole "Was an accomplice to an attempted genocide because they wanted to be of use" thing. On the plus side though, they apologized for the killing of a bunch of people's families after deciding that leaving your kid to die out of cowardice was a step too far.
Character 121: japanese pigtailed girl who sings. in multiple different video games. in one of the games she gives free therapy to emotionally unstable teenagers through the power of SONG
Character 295: lawyer who shouts “OBJECTION” a lot. gay for his courtroom rival. nearly died at least 7 times
