Another pause. He has no idea how to even answer that question. Mind you, Inosuke has never heard about riddles before.
"A boar. If it's a boar, I call it a boar. The mountains don't have horses, so you probably just misheard."

Well, this was interesting. An absolute stare-off of will as a squint of pinkish hue remained fixed. It started with just a normal kind of look, a tiny little gaze to look over one's features, details like that! And then it became something more so. Was there a point to what was going on? No, maybe she was just trying to intimidate the other. She did have a knack for getting under people's skin! And the floral dance was always a fun one to go about.
A small smile pulled from the petite Lotus hashira. An eyebrow raise of strawberry-blonde followed such an expression as the gaze continued.
Did this turn into a game of sorts? Maybe. Or maybe the young lady just came off as childish.
With a sudden, long, interesting silence finally being broken, she parted her lips to speak. They were just standing there after all--the two of them. It was funny when people could just be people among monsters eating the masses that couldn't be ignored. Not that the feisty one saw it all like greys and whites! No, she saw it completely differently than most. The traditional way of a woman in this era wasn't for her liking, so it was always dusted off.
"Are we painting each other in our minds right now? I feel like we've started a battle or something here. I mean, I know I am a sight to behold!"
The words followed along with a giggle. It was clear she was certainly amused and providing a little teased jest. She wasn't ACTUALLY fully of herself!

[So I'm not done with the game yet. I'm 130 hours in and probably about halfway done? Regardless, I still do not know why the miranda blooms can call down the wrath of heaven on you. Also, there's another variant in game that can throw some magic stars atcha but eh.]

Miranda’s Light (Recharge 5-6): The miranda bloom calls pillars of light from the sky in a 20 ft. radius centered anywhere within 120 ft. All creatures in the area must make DC 15 Dex saves or take 38 (7d10) radiant damage. A creature that succeeds takes half damage.

Variants
Mad Miranda Blooms are CR 7. Their Poisonbloom action is replaced by the following:
Frenzybloom: The miranda bloom ejects its maddening powder in a 30 ft. radius surrounding it. All creatures in that area must make DC 15 Con saves or take 28 (8d6) poison damage and is poisoned until the end of its next turn. A creature that succeeds takes half damage and is not poisoned. A creature poisoned in this way acts as though affected by the Confusion spell.
Scarlet Miranda Blooms are CR 7. They are immune to curses and their Poisonbloom action is replaced by the following action.
Rotbloom: The miranda bloom ejects its cursed powder in a 30 ft. radius surrounding it. All creatures in that area must make DC 15 Con saves or take 28 (8d6) poison damage and gain one Mark of Rot. A creature that succeeds takes half damage and doesn’t gain a Mark of Rot. A creature with any Marks of Rot is poisoned. A creature loses one Mark of Rot at the end of each of its turns. If a creature ever has 3 Marks of Rot, it contracts the Scarlet Rot. Creatures immune to curses cannot gain Marks of Rot.
Scarlet Rot: The scarlet rot is a horrific wasting curse that can turn a verdant jungle into a toxic red wasteland. A creature afflicted with scarlet rot is poisoned and loses one point from a randomly chosen ability score at the end of each 24 hour period. In order to cure the scarlet rot, a creature must be the recipient of both a Lesser Restoration spell and a Remove Curse spell at the same time, typically requiring two spellcasters. Alternatively, Greater Restoration also cures the disease. A cured creature’s ability scores return to their normal levels at a rate of one point per ability score per long rest.

Tactics
Fully grown miranda blooms are sessile and too large to hide, and are thus easy pickings for parties with a ranged option longer than 140 ft., which is anyone with a bow or crossbow (though anything but a longbow will have disadvantage. Use the environment to obstruct or conceal them from those distances, and employ miranda sprouts to keep them busy too. Alternatively, or additionally if you’re feeling mean, miranda blooms can cover for each other in a larger space. Miranda’s Light doesn’t require line of sight, and miranda blooms don’t need to see anyway!

Lore
Mirandas are most likely not natural creatures, as they do not follow the typical patterns of a carnivorous plant. Most carnivorous plants grow in poor soil conditions where nutrients are scarce, but mirandas can grow just about anywhere there’s plenty of water. They can even grow in shallow water, and seem to particularly enjoy flood plains. It is theorized that they were created by an overzealous circle of druids to protect their land from encroaching civilization, as they have a notable preference for the flesh of Folk. They have proven to be highly adaptable, often incorporating dangerous aspects of their environment into their arsenals. The scarlet variety grows just fine in lands afflicted with scarlet rot, while incursions of demons, old ones, or other forces of madness have given rise to the rare mad miranda variety.

Picking a present for their beloved boar friend had been a difficult task for many. He saw a few of Inosuke's friends wracking their minds and coming up with ideas, Akara however...
"I etched some designs into this shiny rock. I hope you like it."
And the food, of course, he also brought food!
Inosuke tore his eyes away from his plate, lured by the peculiar shine that his eyes caught in a corner of his vision. This characteristic glow... It could only be a high-quality rock!
He reached with crumb-stained hands to take the rock from his Akara's hands, emerald eyes already sparkling with childlike wonder as he examined the rock from every angle, fingers tracing over the surface to better feel its texture.
"You... you changed the way the rock looks? So I would like it more?" It was a possibility that had never even changed his mind. Nature created rocks the way it wanted, after all.
He lacked the words to describe how he felt. To think that his comrade would go against nature itself, all for his sake...
"... it's awesome. I love it. I'll add it to my collection!"

" Happy Valentines Day, Hashibira-san! "
Moments before Akara proceeded to dump a veritable ton of ill-acquired chocolates! He did fashion himself to be a bit of a Robin hood figure. Steal from the rich, give to the poor and all.
One person's misery was another's joy, right?
A confused look crossed the boar's eyes, though it only lasted for a split second. It didn't take him long to recognize something edible in the strange little rocks that his fellow slayer had just dumped all over his frame.
"FOOD!! FOR ME!!" Inosuke did not need to be told twice. Already his mask was pushed above his brow, grubby hands shoveling chocolate past his lips in great handfuls.
"It's good! It's so good!!" He marveled, speaking with his mouth full. "Where did you get those? Did the Valentine thing make them for you?! Let's kill 'em and steal some more!!"

Is that the sound of a truck backing up? It certainly is ! And after a couple of rounds of beeping, the truck unloaded a ton of stolen chocolates and sweets into a mountain pile.

the truck alone has left him speechless , but the chocolates pouring out from the back of it brings his voice back in a fast swallowed-up yelp ! boxes and shimmering wrap-packaging starts to pool up at his feet , ( with or without bouncing off his head , first , ) dozens flowing forth in a wave of what could only be a serious breach of some kind of littering law --- this was way more chocolate than a single person could eat in their entire life , wasn't it ?!
m-moreover , just looking at the various names and attached notes on some of them ... ' w-why are these all addressed to other people ?! '
what the heck , where in the world did the other get all of these ?! they weren't all stolen valentines , were they ?! seriously ?! that was terrible ! he didn't even have anything to do with any of these ! or at least , he'd have liked to , if the other hadn't decided to give them all to him for some incomprehensible reason !
although the boy's first instinct is to sprint away as fast as possible from the unleashed valentines horror , ( a freak mass like this might gain its own sentience and start lurching around to sate its holiday hunger at any moment , ) it's struggling against his second , better impulse to try to start figuring out names and sending everything back to their proper owners ! ( but hadn't he already done something similarly demanding for christmas ?! )
a thank you and bow of gratitude would have only been polite , right ? so the niwa does so . bows , red faced , giving his thanks . ' i --- i appreciate it , but ... ' there was a limit to just one person's greed ! he couldn't bear the sight of so many people's valentines feelings and voices being toyed with and stolen away ! ' p-put these back already ?! '
