I lied. We’re not quite done yet.
While I was speeding through the night waiting for spring to come, Scarlett woke up feeling a little... off. Apparently her woohoo with Matt earlier in the day resulted in a pregnancy!
I wasn’t expecting that at all! She was one of the lucky sims that didn’t experience any morning sickness!
Anyway! Now we’re heading to Theo’s house. I promise there are no more surprises!
(Also yes, I did deduct the 100 simoleons that pregnant sims get from the government from the taxes paid. I’ve got it covered!)

Later that night, Alexander ate a late dinner by himself while Emma was potty training Martin. He'd finally started getting used to the potty.
“You’re doing a great job with him,” Alexander said.
Emma didn't answer. She just stared out the window in silence.
"I'm being unfair to you," she finally said. "And most importantly, I'm being unfair to Martin. You're his father. You should be a part of his life too,"
"Thank you for saying that" Alexander smiled at her.
From that moment on, Alexander was much more involved in taking care of Martin.
..and then Emma rolled this want >.<
I won't stop them if they do it autonomously, but I definitely won't do anything to help them.

This is the moment where I realized that it’s way too early in the challenge for Renaissance Sim to happen - yeah, took a while - so I changed Alan’s aspiration to Painter extraordinaire. I really would like a Joker soon, Blue is not gonna get us one with her child aspiration because she would need school to be unlocked for that, so it’s time we focus a bit on the adults’ aspirations.
Anyways, now Alan needs to do paintings while being inspired, which has proven a problem since the man is always confident.

Alien baby incoming! Daxter named the kid, Ripley Quinn! I'm going to leave what colour alien we got as a surprise for next round!
Because of this alien baby we've now unlocked StrangerVille! Not sure if I will end up using it. I want all the environments to feel like they're close together for Realmwood.

The next day, Elena was walking around in a daze.
She was preparing some food when she heard Ocean’s voice and suddenly was brought back to the harsh reality.
“What are you cooking?” Ocean asked. “Smells yummy”
“Just the same old” Elena couldn't even bring herself to look at Ocean.
“Maybe it’s just my pregnancy brain speaking, but this smells like the greatest meal ever cooked”
Elena flinched at the word pregnancy, feeling more awful than ever.
“How are you?” Ocean asked, sounding concerned.
“Just fine”
“You seem-”
“I said I’m fine”
Elena regretted her harsh tone right away but couldn’t bring herself to say anything else, so she just stood there silently staring into the fire.
“Okey, then,” Ocean said after a moment of silence. “Call me when you’re ready to tell me what’s going on”
It’s better this way, Elena thought, trying to convince herself this was the right thing to do. I don’t deserve Ocean’s friendship anyway.
