i really hate what certain comics have tried to portray their relationship as. he believes rose is, honestly, much stronger than him.

he loves her, he loves all of his children but rose specifically is very special to him. she's another chance of fatherhood, one that he failed, but hey at least he uh. Kind of tried.

my love. i am obsessed with the arkhamverse so i’m here to say you HAVE to read Arkham Knight Genesis. it’s one of my favorite jason stories ever and it’s only 6 issues so it’s not even like a time commitment <3 it’s so so good as an elseworlds story and you don’t even really have to know a lot about the games to read it <3333

so my knee-jerk reaction is tim drake. I didn't really have an opinion on him at first but hoo boy. hooooo boy. the thing that drives me nuts abt tim fans in particular is that there's the RIDICULOUSLY obnoxious ones we all know + deal with, but on the other end of the spectrum there's people who can't fucking STAND him and make it their whole personality and it's just. sigh

an honorable mention is buck (firefighter show) who is unfortunately in a similar position as tim to the fandom. he's the Fandom Sweetheart and he can Do No Wrong and if anyone in the show even BREATHES near him everyone starts wailing bloody murder. at this point he's still enough of a blorbo to me that I don't hate him yet but man. sometimes it's really fucking tempting because I loove his character in the show but oh my GOD. oh my god.

it's an easy task for her to break into his bludhaven apartment, even with a delicate parcel held precariously in one hand as she pries open the window. the simple white box from a local bakery, complete with hastily tied ribbon and a truly abysmal attempt at a bow, is left in the kitchen for him to find. the box of cake is accompanied by a small superman keychain she found a few weeks before, because she thinks he'll find it funny --- it was that or batman, and she thinks that'd be too risky. and with that, she beats a hasty retreat back out the window with no plans to acknowledge she was the one to leave the gift to begin with.

it's late by the time dick finally makes it home. dwindling night hours casting deep shadows on his apartment, and he's so tired he makes no move to turn the lights on so nothing slows him in his quest for a quick nap. and yet, he can sense the change. dick is in no means a 'neat and tidy' kind of person, but he remembers what his apartment looked like when --- is that a box? upon further inspection there's a matching bow, even, and the familiar red-blue logo of his favorite uncle hanging from a novelty keychain. dick lets out a fond laugh. there's no note --- of course there isn't but dick remembers the bakery, knows who has access to his security measures, and most importantly, recognizes the gesture. he cuts off a slice, blissfully enjoying the delicacies of the best spot in blud, and figuring out how to chew through a smile that just won't go away. he walks away with thank you plans queuing up for their post-patrol ritual, humming pleasantly as he goes. game on, rose.

27. what’s your favorite or go-to outfit?

my go-to outfit when i'm not wearing comfortable 'i just need to get through the semester' clothes is my pair of extremely broken-in tennis shoes, my black trousers or jeans, a belt, a tee shirt of some kind, and a top layer, usually an open button-up or a jacket. real basic stuff. i used to dress really flashy and colorful when i had more energy to put in even more effort.

28. last meal on earth?

another really really tough one to answer but there's a place nearby that serves the best fried rice i've ever had. so i'd probably go there and have some fried rice.
