Finding Relief: A Guide to Tinnitus Help
Tinnitus, often described as ringing, buzzing, or humming in the ears, affects millions of people worldwide. It's a condition that can range from mildly annoying to severely debilitating, impacting one's quality of life. Fortunately, there are various strategies and treatments available to help manage tinnitus and alleviate its symptoms. In this guide, we'll explore different approaches to tinnitus help, from lifestyle changes to medical interventions, empowering you to find relief and regain control over your auditory health.
Understanding Tinnitus
Before delving into remedies, it's essential to understand what tinnitus is and its potential causes. Tinnitus is not a disease itself but rather a symptom of an underlying issue. It can manifest as a ringing, buzzing, hissing, or roaring sound in one or both ears, with the perception of sound occurring without any external source. Common causes of tinnitus include exposure to loud noises, age-related hearing loss, earwax buildup, and underlying health conditions such as Meniere's disease or temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.
Pulsatile Tinnitus Causes
"Pulsatile Tinnitus Causes" refer to the factors that contribute to a specific type of tinnitus characterized by rhythmic pulsing or whooshing sounds synchronized with the heartbeat. This type of tinnitus can be caused by various conditions, including vascular issues such as high blood pressure, turbulent blood flow, or vascular abnormalities near the ear. Other potential causes may include middle ear infections, ear canal blockages, or abnormal muscle contractions. Identifying and addressing the underlying cause is crucial for effectively managing pulsatile tinnitus and providing appropriate treatment.
Tumblr media
Lifestyle Modifications for Tinnitus Relief
In many cases, making simple lifestyle changes can significantly reduce the severity of tinnitus symptoms. Avoiding exposure to loud noises, wearing ear protection in noisy environments, and limiting caffeine and alcohol consumption can help prevent tinnitus from worsening. Additionally, managing stress through relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga, or deep breathing exercises may alleviate tinnitus-related anxiety and tension, improving overall well-being.
Sound Therapy and Masking Devices
Sound therapy involves using external noises to distract from or mask the perception of tinnitus sounds. This can be achieved through the use of white noise machines, nature sounds, or specially designed tinnitus masking devices. By providing a soothing background noise, sound therapy can help individuals habituate to their tinnitus, making it less noticeable over time. Some devices even offer customizable sound options tailored to each individual's preferences.
Medical Interventions
In cases where tinnitus is caused by underlying medical conditions, medical interventions may be necessary to address the root cause. This could involve treating infections or inflammation in the ear, removing obstructions such as earwax buildup, or managing underlying health conditions like high blood pressure or temporomandibular joint disorders. In severe cases, surgical procedures may be recommended to correct structural abnormalities or alleviate pressure on the auditory nerve.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) has emerged as a promising treatment approach for tinnitus, particularly for individuals experiencing significant distress and negative emotions related to their symptoms. CBT aims to change negative thought patterns and behaviors associated with tinnitus, helping individuals develop coping strategies and improve their emotional resilience. By addressing the psychological impact of tinnitus, CBT can empower individuals to regain a sense of control over their condition and reduce its impact on their daily lives.
Alternative Therapies and Supplements
In addition to conventional treatments, some individuals find relief from tinnitus through alternative therapies and dietary supplements. Acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments, and herbal remedies are among the alternative approaches that have been explored for tinnitus management. While scientific evidence supporting their effectiveness is limited, some people report subjective improvements in their symptoms with these interventions. It's essential to consult with a healthcare professional before trying any alternative therapies to ensure they are safe and appropriate for your specific situation.
Conclusion
Living with tinnitus can be challenging, but it's essential to remember that help and relief are available. By understanding the underlying causes of tinnitus, making lifestyle modifications, exploring sound therapy options, seeking medical interventions when necessary, and addressing the psychological impact of tinnitus through therapies like CBT, individuals can take proactive steps towards managing their symptoms and improving their quality of life. Whether you're experiencing a persistent ringing or pulsing sensation in your ears, there is hope for relief and support on your journey to better auditory health. restorehearingnow.com

Sensitive Teeth
Introduction
Dental health is a crucial aspect of overall well-being, and sensitivity in teeth can significantly impact daily life. Understanding the causes, symptoms, and management techniques for sensitive teeth is essential for maintaining oral health and overall comfort.
Understanding Sensitive Teeth
Causes of Tooth Sensitivity
Tooth sensitivity often arises from exposed dentin, the sensitive layer beneath the enamel. Common causes include enamel erosion due to acidic foods or drinks, gum recession exposing tooth roots, and tooth decay or damage.

Tumblr media
Risk Factors
Various factors can increase the likelihood of experiencing tooth sensitivity. These include aggressive brushing techniques, frequent consumption of acidic or sugary foods and beverages, and certain dental procedures such as tooth whitening treatments.
Symptoms and Diagnosis
Common Symptoms
Individuals with sensitive teeth may experience sharp pain or discomfort when consuming hot, cold, sweet, or acidic substances. Sensitivity may also occur when brushing or flossing, particularly in areas where enamel is worn thin or gums have receded.
Dental Examination
A thorough dental examination is essential for diagnosing tooth sensitivity. Dentists will assess the patient's oral health, review symptoms, and may perform tests to identify areas of sensitivity. X-rays may be used to detect underlying issues such as tooth decay or gum disease.
Prevention and Home Remedies
Proper Oral Hygiene
Maintaining good oral hygiene practices is key to preventing and managing tooth sensitivity. Brush teeth gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste, floss daily to remove plaque and debris, and use fluoride mouthwash for added protection.
Desensitizing Toothpaste
Specialized desensitizing toothpaste containing ingredients such as potassium nitrate or strontium chloride can help alleviate tooth sensitivity over time. Use these toothpastes regularly as part of your oral care routine for best results.
Tumblr media
Mouthguards
For individuals who grind their teeth or clench their jaw, wearing a custom-fitted mouthguard can help protect teeth from further damage and reduce sensitivity. Consult with a dentist to determine the most suitable mouthguard for your needs.
Professional Treatment Options
Fluoride Treatments
In-office fluoride treatments can strengthen tooth enamel and reduce sensitivity. Dentists may apply fluoride gels, varnishes, or rinses to affected teeth during a dental visit to provide long-lasting relief.
Dental Bonding
In cases where tooth sensitivity is caused by exposed dentin or enamel erosion, dental bonding may be recommended. This procedure involves applying a tooth-colored resin to affected teeth to cover exposed surfaces and reduce sensitivity.
Root Canal Therapy
For severe cases of tooth sensitivity resulting from nerve damage or infection, root canal therapy may be necessary. During this procedure, the dentist removes damaged tissue and seals the tooth to alleviate pain and restore oral health.
Lifestyle Changes and Management
Dietary Adjustments
Limiting consumption of acidic and sugary foods and beverages can help prevent enamel erosion and reduce tooth sensitivity. Opt for tooth-friendly alternatives such as water, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and vegetables.
You can also try this product DentaTonic
Stress Management Techniques
Stress can contribute to teeth grinding and jaw clenching, leading to increased tooth sensitivity. Practice stress-reduction techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, or yoga to alleviate tension and protect your oral health.
In conclusion, sensitive teeth can be a source of discomfort and inconvenience, but with proper understanding and management, it is possible to alleviate symptoms and maintain oral health. By adopting preventive measures, utilizing home remedies, seeking professional treatment when necessary, and making lifestyle adjustments, individuals can effectively manage tooth sensitivity and enjoy a healthier, happier smile.

"Thrust." From the Kundika Upanishad. The Exploration of the Mysteries of the Pitcher.
Tumblr media
24-25. (The ascetic) shall, by the practice (of Yoga) bring together the Prana and Apana vital airs in the body. He shall place the (palms of the) two hands at the perineum, gently biting the (tip of the) tongue thrust out to the extent of a grain of barley.
Similarly directing the eyes open to the extent of a blackgram seed, towards the (ether of the) ear (and the feet firmly resting) on the ground, he shall not allow the ear (to function) and the nose to smell (i.e. the five senses shall be controlled). (Thus he accomplishes the union of the Prana and Apana vital airs).
26. (Therefore the vital air passing through the Kundalini and the Susumna gets dissolved in the Sahasrarachakra at the top of the head.
Then the vision, the mind, vital air and the ‘fire’ of the body reach) the seat of Siva (and get dissolved); that is Brahman; that is the transcendent Brahman.
That (Brahman) will be realized by the practice (of Yoga), which is facilitated by the acquisition of practice in previous births.
27. With the (help of the) external and internal organs (the knowledge of the qualified Brahman) called effulgence, reaching the heart and supported by the vital air’s capability (to proceed upwards, goes through the Susumna Nadi) and piercing the skull at the top of the body, one realizes the indestructible (qualified Brahman).
The black garam seed gives food its heat; it causes food to digest and helps the body purge waste. To consume the black garam is likened to exhaustion of the biases, the thought habits that cause us to under or over consume actions in the world external to the mind.
The rest of the section above explains how the body is a pitcher with a top, a middle, and and bottom. Stuff gets poured in, it gets poured out.
The vital air, the Prana, enters the body through the senses and runs like a current through the veins, arteries, muscles, and canals in the body, and exits through various expressions, like the vision, the sense of smell, speech, touch, respiration and orgasm.
It is possible to turn the blessings of respiration, food, water, scripture, work, entertainment and the penis asshole desires one draws into the body into curses that exit. To drawn up the Grace of God and expel it, transformed into slanderous behaviors is a sin. This can surely be stopped in all of its many ways of happening.
All one has to do is inquire as to the purposes of one's outgoing thoughts and actions. If they end the causes of suffering on earth, they are beneficial and the root causes of these should be fed. If you cause suffering for others, the food for these thoughts must be avoided.
We study the Upanishads in order to be able to accurately categorize which notions attach to the sense of self and how they cause one to aggregate with the world outside.

Loving a Ghost
An interesting thing about my love being dead for three years now is that I'm starting to feel bad for loving someone that young.
It's not like she lived long enough to see her dreams come true or even long enough to give up on them like a normal person (/j), her dreams were simply extinguished.
There's not hope nor nostalgic bitterness like with a living person's dreams. The dreams are just gone. Not even a wisp is left.
She feared turning 30, but now she never will.
But now I'm in love with a 29-year-old. And that's way worse now than it was three years ago. My birthday just happened. I'm actually... was actually five-and-a-half years older than her, so three years later, I'm now 9 years older than her. I'll be 40 in two years.
it's somewhat unsettling.
It's not a question of experience or personality, but of shared experiences. I'm not saying you can't fall into romantic love with a twenty-something person in the latter half of your thirties. I'm sure there are plenty of perfectly pleasant folk out there with similar levels of maturity and energy. I'm friends with some of them for that matter.
It's one thing if you had a cell phone or even a smartphone before graduating high school. But you didn't live through the last three years of this shit?
I'm getting closer to death with every moment I live, but I'm experiencing a life that person never will. I'm getting farther from the Kate I knew.
I don't know. I still adore her. I still love her. But there's only memories and wishes. And the memories are of someone who so resembled their teenage self that her family used her senior photo for her obituary. Yes, her portrait at 17 looked indistinguishable from her at 29.
She died about two weeks before turning 30.
And yeah, I love her. Even now. Even with all the revelations after her death which I won't touch on. Even as I know I would have chosen to not be with her after finding those things out. Well, she could have easily fixed those things... they'll never be fixed now. They just fester. Make me feel worse about myself.
And I miss her. Especially this week I turned 38 in. This week I've been so alone in.
I'm too old to love her. But I can't stop loving her. But she lied to me. But she loved me.
It's not that I'm starved for love. I am. But it is not that. It's not that I'm so lonely and more than that I feel alone. I am, but it is not that.
I wish she was alive. I wish she was alive and happy and healthy. I wish she wasn't one of the "mysterious deaths" of 2020 when an otherwise healthy young person who previously had "mild COVID" died for no fucking good reason. She was a fucking certified yoga instructor. She was lithe. She loved to move. She had this laugh that bubbled up and burst out and filled the entirety of reality let alone all the space of whatever room she was in.
I loved making her laugh. I loved surprising her. When she was around it was like I could breathe again and I didn't know I hadn't been breathing before then, that I had never breathed before that. I have a fraction of an old video and the laugh on there is reminiscent of her great laughs, but nothing like the laughs we shared. She had the best smile. Pictures don't do it justice because in pictures she's smiling at the lens but she smiled at me and her megawatt smile was so much more brilliant when there was love behind it.
She had the best smile and she said she loved my smile most. That my smile was the best smile. I loved kissing her smile. And I loved that kissing her made her smile more and I loved kissing her again. She said she loved my smile more. How fucking wrong she could be but I still loved her.
After she died. Last year I think. It runs together. I had to have two teeth pulled because I couldn't afford a root canal. So much for her favorite smile. I'm getting older and she's still the same, except she's not the same because she's fucking ashes and I miss her so much.
She had so much life left. So much living left to do I mean. She wanted kids. She said she wanted my kids (she was hoping for that smile that no longer exists, neither hers nor mine). She would have been the most beautiful bride, even if it hadn't been with me. She should have been a mother, well a mother to more than just our dog. I've been wasting every shred of potential I ever had. She should be the one alive. She should be the one comforting our dog right now, though if I wasn't crying while writing this I suppose our dog wouldn't need comforted.
She should still be here. She doesn't need to be with me, just needs to be alive. I mean, I needed her, need her. Whatever the fucking tense is. But I was too healthy when she was alive. I knew how to have boundaries. Or at least I pretended I did. But if she was alive again, if she could have kids and be a mom like she dreamed. She should have gotten the chance to do that. No matter who she chose to do that with.
I'm sure even if they weren't with me, they'd still have the best smiles. Would she still love my smile now? I mean, of course she would, but that's not the point I was trying to make.
Every day I live, I am getting closer to dying, but I am getting farther from her, not closer, even though she's dead.
Don't know where this was going. But I needed to document this feeling before the week ended. It's been a rough week. The third of many birthdays without Kate. I miss her so much.
You could even say, I miss her "too much".
~~~~~
Please no religion / better place stuff ... or any condolences for that matter. I didn't write this for condolences. You're missing the point if you want to express sympathy for me.
How to take care of teeth in old age?
As we age, our teeth become more vulnerable to decay and gum disease. It is important to take care of our teeth in old age to maintain a healthy mouth and avoid dental problems. Taking care of your teeth in old age can be done by visiting your dentist in Baner regularly for check-ups and cleanings, brushing and flossing twice a day, avoiding sugary snacks and drinks, eating a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D, avoiding smoking or drinking alcohol excessively, using fluoride toothpaste or mouthwash, and seeking treatment for any signs of gum disease. By following these tips you can ensure that your teeth remain healthy as you age.
Although we should take care of our teeth at every age, their importance increases in old age. The reason for this is that, with increasing age, our digestive power becomes weak. It takes more time for us to digest food and if our teeth are weak then we will not be able to chew the food properly. This will put more stress on the digestive system and will have far-reaching consequences.
That's why we must take very good care of our teeth in old age. Let us see some important things that can help you with this.
Brush at least twice
Yes, although people of all ages must brush morning and night, it is mandatory for the elderly. Along with this, it is also good to use good fluoride toothpaste.
Brushing at night greatly reduces the level of bacteria in the mouth and reduces the chances of tooth and gum diseases.
If for some reason the elderly person is unable to brush, then an electric brush should be used.
Use mouthwash after every meal
Although it is a good habit to brush after eating anything, if this is not possible, then rinse with a good mouthwash. This kills the bacteria.
Do mouthwash after eating something sweet. This will keep the teeth healthy.
Increase immunity
Immunity is directly related to our health. If immunity is good in old age, then along with other diseases, the chances of getting dental diseases also decrease.
For this, it is necessary to have good food and regular exercise. It is necessary to eat a balanced diet ie a proper amount of proteins, carbohydrates, and fats, and to include fruits, green vegetables, and dry fruits in the diet. If you are a non-vegetarian, then you must eat eggs, meat and fish.
Regular yoga, pranayama, and meditation are very beneficial in increasing immunity. That's why include them in your daily routine.
Monitor calcium levels
 With aging, the amount of calcium in the body decreases. We all know that our teeth are made of calcium. When its quantity in the body decreases, the teeth become weak.
Have regular checkups with the doctor
Although a person of every age must get a checkup done by a dentist at least twice a year, it is mandatory for older people.
With increasing age, many types of problems arise in the teeth and if they are not caught early, they get out of control. That's why it is necessary to visit the dentist every six months.
It is also important to take the treatments and medicines prescribed by the doctor regularly. Many times, it has been seen that old people either do not show up to the doctor and even if they do show up, they do not get treated.
This makes the problem more serious.
If all the above things are taken care of, then the teeth will remain strong even in old age. Along with this, the body will also remain healthy and will be saved from other problems.
Oral Dental Hospital
Medical tourism is a booming industry in developing countries such as India, Thailand, Singapore and Latin America. They have skilled doctors and cheaper labor costs. What is dental tourism?
 The healthcare market has reached a peak of success over the past decade. This is a very competitive and demanding field.
To meet this growing demand, entrepreneurs are making significant local investments. The travel agency cooperates with a multi-specialty hospital to organize a holiday that includes a comprehensive dental check-up.
Dental Tourism in India India has become a popular travel destination for many Americans and Europeans, especially Non-Resident Indians (NRI), thanks to its combination of upscale, multi-specialty dental clinics and picturesque surroundings.
What Makes Dental Tourism In India So Popular?
1. India offers very affordable dental care as labor and overhead costs are much lower than in western countries. The result is lower program costs and comparable quality of work.
2. Indians are proficient in English.
3. The vast majority of dentists in India choose to obtain a Master of Dentistry (MDS) degree and complete their studies at a foreign institution. Finding a restorative, implant, oral surgeon, endodontist or periodontist here is easy.
4. India can make an appointment at the convenience of the patient.
5. Alternative treatments such as yoga and Ayurveda can also be used to ensure health and fitness.
6. Excellent connectivity.
What Is The Most Popular Dental Procedure Among Tourists?
A smile makeover is a popular cosmetic procedure. Achieving a beautiful smile requires a multi-professional approach to smile design. Smile makeovers in India include the following elements: 1. Crowns and bridges are aesthetically pleasing quality ceramic restorations for filled and discolored teeth, affordable in India with a long warranty. A bridge costs about $500, compared to $5,000 in the West.
2. Veneers and laminates are a great way to cover gaps and crooked teeth. It's a quick way to get a Hollywood smile.
3. Dental implants are the most popular dental tourism treatment. For the same brand, the price in India is a quarter of that in the US. All quality German and American implants are available in India. The treatment period lasts about 3 months.
4. Teeth whitening (teeth bleaching).
5. Root canal therapy (RCT) is more cost-effective. Conclusions: Private dental clinics and hospitals collaborated to plan travel itineraries, including locations to visit, accommodation options, and transportation to and from the clinic. There is no doubt that India is the future of Asian dental tourism.
How about 52 & 86 for MirSan 😍
My dear dear dear @violetasteria. Your Trope Smashup ask has unleashed something into the world that I fear we are not ready for. But... "Marriage of Convenience" and "I Didn't Mean to Turn You On" apparently mix in my brain and do things.
So, here it is. A MirSan based on these premises. I am so so sorry.
Root Canals and Yoga (a Small Bite on AO3)
don't say I didn't warn you 😅
Sango is staring. She knows she’s staring. It’s utterly stupid to be standing in the doorway and watching sweat glisten and drip off of Miroku’s muscles.
Did he always have all these muscles? She can’t remember. She’s never really looked. (She should have been looking more closely.)
Sometimes people do things for dumb reasons. Sango is no exception. She did a thing (marrying Miroku even though they weren’t into each other) for a dumb reason (because tooth pain is no joke and root canals and things are expensive.)
Fuck America and its stupid healthcare costing an arm and a leg. A marriage license is much cheaper. And Miroku has great health insurance. Great dental insurance.
She probably should have asked him why he was so okay with marrying her. He liked the ladies, Sango knew this. Miroku didn’t go out anymore, something something about being on the up and up. Something something about how when they get divorced he’ll be able to play the heartbroken divorcee and the ladies will flood in (Sango laughs at this, even though it leaves a bad taste in her dentally much-improved mouth).
She never really thought about attraction before. Never really found anyone all that appealing. Overprotective fathers and uncles do that. Or do they?
She learned the term ‘asexual’ and ‘demisexual’ in college, and they stuck with her. It’s why when Miroku first sidled up and laid on the worst pickup line she had ever heard (‘heaven must be missing an angel’🤢), she told him to get lost.
She still can’t remember how they got to talking about Japanese folklore and a shared passion for jiu jitsu. Or how somehow she ended up becoming Miroku’s roommate… arm-wrestling and beer was definitely involved.
At least the married part made sense. At the time.
But… did it? Seriously. Sango had married Miroku. Because teeth. Why on god’s good Earth had Miroku agreed to this?
“Sango?” Miroku is all sweaty, now staring back at her as she stares at him. “Did you want to join me or something?”
Did Sango even know that Miroku did yoga in the morning? Did he always wear shorts that tight?
“Uh…” Sango could produce words—she could.
“Husband and wife yoga in the morning?” Miroku waggles his eyebrows. His hair is shaggy, falling on his shoulders like Howl. He’s…
Sango is attracted to him. Sango has never been attracted to someone before.
Who knew that bendiness was the secret sauce?
“You okay?” Miroku is starting to look concerned. He’s getting up and walking toward her.
How is he even more attractive when he gets close and she can feel the heat of his body tickle hers? Why does she want to stretch her hands out and run them along his abs? Why is his ass two scoops of delicious ice cream in those tight tight pants?
“Shit.” Sango almost retreats. She really should. This is big time serious and she needs to think through what she should do.
They’re married and she’s attracted to her husband! But they got married so she could get a root canal. Who gets married so someone can get a root canal?!?! Then again, who gets married, then falls in love, then finally wants to lick their husband’s sexy muscles?
Maybe there’s a way to explain this without the super-embarrassing parts. Maybe Miroku still remembers that first night at the bar when he hit on her and she turned him down. Maybe that spark is still there for Miroku and Sango can slyly segue from “I’m currently having a bit of a sexual crisis” to “maybe we’re married because fate knew I would catch you practicing yoga in those tight pants and it would ignite my sexual awakening.”
There has to be a way.
It’s going to be awkward, but Sango is awkward. Miroku knows awkward Sango, and one might even realistically believe that he likes awkward Sango.
She’s committed. She’s going to do it.
“Wow,” Sango rubs Miroku’s shoulders, tracing his shoulder blades with her hands. He looks confused. That’s okay. The cheese is coming. “I swore I would feel wings there.”
“Did—did you just try to use a pickup line on me?” His face is turning red.
“Was it bad?” Sango’s face is also turning red; her brain is screaming ABORT ABORT.
Then Miroku grabs her hands.
“My wife,” Miroku says theatrically, but Sango can hear the earnestness underneath it. “Are you telling me that you like me?”
The moment is pregnant. Of course it is. Because six months of convenience doesn’t just magically melt away.
Except it does. It did.
“You look really really good…” Sango starts. She’s going to finish. “In those yoga pants.”
Miroku has a smile like nothing she’s ever seen before. And now he’s hugging her.
“I will wear them whenever you want me to,” he whispers, and it is as if each of them know.
They’re married now, not just for a root canal. And Sango is realizing that she’s smiling about it. Apparently she has a thing for her husband in yoga pants.
The Sacrum and the Sternum are two very unique bones that can be useful in anatomical alignment. In seated posture, the sternum should be vertical with a lifting sensation - that relates to the heart energy - then the head can slightly bow. The sacrum should be vertical with a grounding sensation - that relates to the root and sacral energy. Embryologically, The sacrum is formed from the fusion of the lower vertebrae and has a canal through which the end of the spinal nerves travel. The sternum forms from the joining of the ribs in the front of the chest. What is this great technology of the human body? We are looking through borrowed eyes. All praise to God. .
