taciturn raven stood still, watching veronica’s every move. she couldn’t grasp the notion that, perhaps, the way she delivered her statement was, in fact, open to interpretations. “i,” cue the pause, not for dramatic reasons, but for utter confusion, “uh, this is me asking you to spare me from future events.” she finally managed to declare, after an awkward pause, “if i wanted you to turn me, i would’ve asked you to claw me. ripping my throat out with your fangs should assure my imminent end.”

rolling her eyes, the strong woman turns around, leaning against the building's brickwall. she isn't completely wrong. it's either alleyways or rooftops unless you left your place in your hero get-up. she's done it a couple times to save herself the discomfort, but there's to hoping no eagle-eyed passerby or neighbor caught her sneaking out her window. " listen, what did you even call me for ? peeping tom duty ? "

he hears the clink of expensive heels against their wood floor just beyond the threshold of the sliding door and can smell the flowery perfume she wears before she calls out to him. hot dog snaps his head towards her and makes to bound towards veronica, but jug's quick to grab hold of his collar. veronica would have both their heads right in his very backyard if hot dog got even a smudge of mud on her clothes.

" s'that so, ronnie ? ----what makes you say that ? " out of the four, no one would guess that veronica and jughead had their own moments of bonding together. they were practically polar opposites. but, that didn't mean they didn't have each other's backs. still, he favors playing dumb for a while to avoid having a chat he's not sure he's ready to be having.
