like to think transmasc king rockhoof is sent off to hunt transfem queen fluttershy, a vampire whos been ravaging pony towns and then they just fall head over hooves for each other :)

Mlp dream (Long post)

// This is a dream I had last night. I don't know why I had it. (go to keep reading to read it)

So in it, the villains were attacking Equestria because they were in search of the Young and Mane 12.

It was because they heard an unknown prophecy that involved the elements (My dream never told it but there was a prophecy).

The pillars managed to drive out the villains, but the land took a beating.

After the scum were chased out, the leaders of their respective kingdoms were debating what to do with the future elements of harmony (They were babies in my dream).

They knew as long as the villains knew where future bearers were, they wouldn't stop until they captured the harmony.

Stygian came up with the idea that the bearers be taken to another land with a member of the pillar moving with them.

The dream ended with the children being taken to the new lands with a pillar going with them:

Twilight and Gallus are sent to Abyssina with Starswirl.

Rainbow Dash and Smolder are sent to Griffonstone with Flash Magnus.

Rarity and Ocellus are sent to the Dragon lands with Mistmane.

Applejack and Yona are sent to Mount Aris with Rockhoof.

Fluttershy and Sandbar are sent to Farasi with Mage Meadowbrook.

Pinkie Pie and Silverstream are sent to Yakyakistan with Somnamblua.

Starlight and a Kirin are sent to the Changeling kingdom with Sytgian.

Derpy and a bird are sent to the Thicket.

Sunset Shimmer and an Abyssinan are sent to Peril Peaks.

Trixie and a Diamond Dog are sent to Ornithia.

An Earth Pony and a Deer are sent to where the minotaurs live.

Sunburst and a Minotaur were sent to the crystal empire.

(Derpy, Shimmer, Trixie, The Earth Pony, and Sunburst are accompanied by unknown pillar members.)

After Starswirl glanced back at the Princesses, who quietly breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that the Pillars fortunately managed to stop Rockhoof from speaking deafeningly loudly, which would have caused a lot of distress to everybody in the Centre, he asked them if he was missing something; and Celestia sweetly smiled as she took his hoof, while Luna grabbed and held the small Mirror for him.

When she showed him the Mirror, Luna told him to look at it for a little bit longer than before, as he had missed what made this Mirror so special, adding that the image he saw in the frame was not a picture at all; and though he was confused as to what she meant, the Bearded grabbed the Mirror out of her hoof and into his own, and held it increasingly close to his face, to the others' amusement.

Only when his snout was almost touching the Mirror did the Pillars speak up, barely able to hold in their laughter, and told Starswirl that they could hardly see him anymore, before they asked him to move the Mirror away from his face; but only after the Sisters briefly explained that they made the linked Mirrors for him and the Pillars to speak did the Old Greybeard understand, but to an extent.

As Starswirl looked back at the Mirror, he waved to what he still believed to be just a mere image, until the other Pillars all waved back to him, whereafter his eyes widened in surprise, and a smile grew upon his face, and he was speechless; and the Pillars quietly asked him how he was feeling, to which he slowly replied with a stutter that he was all right, but even better now that he saw them.

With a solemn nod to their former Mentor, the two Sisters left his room to give Starswirl some time to speak with his Oldest and Eldest friends, and they decided to go downstairs to find anything for Starswirl to eat; for although it might take a long time before he could walk around unaided again, they figured that it would be nice if they got him a sweet treat or some small snacks to nibble on.

While Celestia and Luna went downstairs to look for a shop or café, back at the Crystal Castle, the others were headed their separate ways, each gathering what they expected they would need to send a care package to their friends in the Dragon Lands across the Sea; but when Stygian and Eclipse made it to the Great Hall to meet up with Spike, neither of the two let him know what they talked about.

Instead, as Stygian and Spike started to gather a collection of various snacks from the kitchen, as well as their baked goods, Eclipse returned to their room to write a letter to the Eastbound group, wherein they wondered about their quest; for while they had met Captain Inferno before they stepped through the gateway, they were unsure as to how many folks were waiting for them on the other side.

After they sent off the letter towards the group, hoping that either Nox or Light received it, they flew back to the Great Hall, where Stygian and Spike just finished wrapping up a couple of packages using rope, filled with a variety of foods and drinks; but just after the two said they were ready, Stygian lifted his hoof, and politely requested a moment of silence from them, for he had to focus.

Neither Spike nor Eclipse understood why he asked them to be quiet, since, save for them, there was nobody else around to make a sound, yet, when he turned back, and told them that he had just spoken with Nox and Light over the letter, they only grew more confused; but Stygian promised them that he would explain in due time, as long as they believed that he could truly hear what they were saying.

Despite the many questions they had for him, Spike and Eclipse relented, and asked Stygian what the others were telling or asking him, to which he replied that they had to do nothing more than create a focal point for them to target; and if they placed what they wanted to send around the point, one of the members of their group should be able to translocate it, even over such an immense distance.

They collected everything on the table, and made the focal point, whereafter Eclipse looked back.

Just as they turned around, however, a fiery gate opened right above the pile of packages…

too big to be a pony, he's an old fashioned horse! coming from the same bloodline as troubleshoes and other draft horses like him, his natural strength aids him in tending to his wheat farm.

Rockhoof and Meadowbrook redesign sketches! Plus a greyscale Stygian for size reference 😭

Gotta fix the proportions on Meadowbrook a wee bit but she has the exact vibe I wanted! Rockhoof is uh. Definitely more Viking. A lot of ponies in his village have Celtic and Old Norse symbols/runes, one even having an ingwaz/inguz rune one in the comics, as cutie marks so.... 👁👁

Rockhoof's cutie mark is specifically the Valknut symbol, which is believed to be associated with the 9 realms of Norse Mythology, the connection between Earth and the two most popular afterlives in Norse/Proto-Christian mythos, a warriors death, etc. (Scholars aren't entirely sure...)

Rockhoof's commander, Steela, has the Celtic Triskel symbol. The entire pony village is very explicitly connected to Old Norse and Old Celtic mythos and culture!

3/4 prev - next Somnambula is a unicorn who comes from the homonymous desert. It is actually unknow if she was named after the place or if the place was named after her. Most historians thinks she is a fictive character.

The tale of Somnambula is classical from the region, the story of the young unicorn who went and saved the pharaoh from a terrible Sphinx but lost her sight to the creature after managing to answer its riddle. Despite no proof of the existance of Somnambula being ever found, most habitants of Somnambula insist on the existance of the mare. The closest thing to a proof of her existance is a letter talking about the story by the pharaoh, alas translation is difficult due to the state of the paper as it was partially burned. Some historians pretends than proof of her existance or non-existance may be found inside the pharaoh's room in the pyramid. Though those ponies tends to be badly seen by the community after having mistaken pharoahs and having announced her existance due to a vase done about the story, thinking it had been done at the time of the story. The vase was, in fact, two hundred years too recent. ---------------

Rockhoof is a unicorn from a volcanic island at the edge of Equus and Equestria. Despite the stereotypes about unicorns, Rockhoof wasn't any kind of scholar or even a good magician. He is of the type of unicorns often forgotten but his existance was proved thanks to his file in the Mighty Helm. The Mighty Helm was originally a subdivision from the EPA which separated from the EPA, becoming it's own little force. It is mainly known as one of the first known group which allowed ponies of different kinds to fight together. The most known tale about the stallion is the following : Rockhoof was a particularly weak colt when he was young. Generally, weak bodied unicorn became scholars or planners but not Rockhoof. The young stallion trained again and again for years, slowly building strenght and muscle. Though the strength he is now known for only appeared while his town was in danger due to the volcan erupting. Rockhoof took his shovel and managed to dig and deep trench in only moments as in face of the danger he accepted than he was neither a failed unicorn to prefer physical activity nor a failed earth pony for not being born an earth pony and having horn magic. Despite the disparition of both the Mighty Helm and the town, Rockhoof is a classical figure to see in foal-section classroom or in museum. There are also a few games which were inspired by his story. ------------------------

Mistmane is a pegasus mare from the lost pegasi empire of Poneon. Her existance is doubted at best by most historians despite her name being used to describe a type of mane replacement and a medical condition. If the tale is too be believed, young Mistmane was one of the most beautiful mare of her time with a lustruous fur, magnificient mane and shining feathers. But the young mare was also an adventurer and a friend of the princess of Poneon, a small pegasus touched by naked foal syndrom, a fatal condition. To give the bed-ridden filly a taste of the world despite it, she went and traveled accross the world for years, allegedly bringing beauty and peace with her. But when she went back home, she discovered than her friend's parents, in a desperate try to make their daughter happy and experience travel, forced most of her town to bring and do exotic things for the sick filly. The young princess hating the suffering endured for her despite loving the attention and unable to convince her parents than they don't need to make people suffer to try and make her last few years better. Mistmane, having explored the world, had also discovered multiple magic and 'broke' the disease in two, losing all of her hair to allow her friend's to grow and make her healthier. Horrifying her friend as by doing so, she had lowered her own life expectancy. The tale finishing on a cautionary notes explaining than even when you want the best for someone, you have to ensure their consent to the act. If the story is true, no one is certain of what happened to either the princess, the Emperor family or Mistmane after this story.
