Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda under the cut.
Comic Sans MS: [default inclusion]
Roboto: "Roboto (because it functions as being incredibly legible for all letters) monospace (because monospace fonts are objectively better than their non-monospace counterparts, assuming the letters are centered)" - note: for this tournament, font families were taken as the parent font barring strong circumstances

Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog - Hero of the year (Screenshots and Review)
Tumblr media
As I continue digging for the Aosth that were missing from the playlist I watched through, one I kept hearing about was "Hero of the year", due to it containing one of the more infamous "sonic says" segments. But what is the main story about? Ooh, Wes Weasely? He's always fun! Let's dig in!
The episode starts with Wes Weasely riding on top of an absurdly long limo that seems to be build like a train (the thing probably needed to be segmented just so it could go around corners!). The limo eventually gets stopped at a roadblock, and the driver gets carjacked by Scratch and Grounder!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Robotnik is sus! Vote him out!” Unfortunately for them, this sets off the car alarm and shoots out a distress signal that says "SUS!" Sonic sees this, and tells Tails that it means "Save us Sonic!", but of course nowadays it takes on a different meaning for many folks who may have played the game Among Us.
Sonic tries to stop the limo as Tails unties Wes who was left off the side of the road at the site of the carjacking. Wes tells Tails that he wants to have an award ceremony to honor Sonic, and the two work out the details while Sonic is busy. Unfortunately for Sonic, he isn't able to keep up with the limo, and Scratch and Groudner make a sneaky getaway.
Tumblr media
It was sweet seeing Robotnik actually be nice to his kids for once. Later, Scratch and Grounder are shown having safely arrived home with the stolen limo, and Robotnik is actually very nice to them for once, being pleased that they did so well on their mission. Wes Weasely then shows up, revealing that the whole incident was a way to trick Sonic and Tails. Wes affirms the agreement that if he helps Robotnik with this plan, he'll get his on sales channel, and they then move on to plan the party.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tails is busy going around Mobius inviting a bunch of he and Sonic’s friends to the party, which is going to take place on a fancy boat. It's a surprise party, so when Tails brings Sonic there he doesn't know what's going on at first - and becomes suspicious when he sees that Wes is there. After several folks tell Sonic how grateful they are for his heroic deeds, Robotnik comes out on stage, revealing the whole party was a trap. He puts a cage around all of Sonic’s friends (including Tails) and then traps Sonic inside a bathysphere-like container, which he sinks to the bottom of the ocean. As if that wasn't bad enough, Robotnik also proceeds to sink the ship Sonic’s friends are on, even though Sonic surrendered to save them earlier!
Tumblr media
Robot! He’s so cute! Later in the episode he gets all emotional and starts crying, poor sweetie...
Tumblr media
We also get to see Roxy, Miss Possum, Sketch Lampoon....
Tumblr media
Professor Caninestein  is here, too! Later at his base, Robotnik is throwing an award show for himself. Scratch and Grounder tried to find friends of Robotnik’s to attend, but they themselves ended up being the only guests. At the same time, Wes realizes that on his new tv channel, he isn't getting any customer call ins because Robotnik didn't actually provide him with a working camera or telephone line! Wes decides to take revenge by saving Sonic, who in turn is able to save all of his friends. For extra pettiness, Sonic and Wes then travel to Robotonik’s place to ruin his award show, and Wes summons a train to run Robotnik and his badniks over as the episode ends.

Scratch and Grounder look so cute in their dapper little outfits!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think is the first time I saw Scratch act like a chicken. Come to think of it, have I ever seen Grounder burrow anywhere...?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the Sonic Says segment, Scratch and Grounder are enjoying some booze when Sonic and Tails arrive to shame them for doing so. This is definitely one of the worst Sonic Says segments because it pushes an unrealistic idea of alcohol just being "bad" onto kids, making it sound as if even adults who drink it are "dumb". Alcohol is quite fun as long as it is enjoyed safely and in moderation. Kids shouldn't drink it, but once you're old enough that your body can handle the stuff, it can be great fun to get boozy!
Tumblr media
Time for booze! Yum! This is a pretty fun episode overall. There's a ton of character cameos from earlier episodes, and it's neat to get to see them all again, even briefly. Wes Weasely is always a fun character to have around, and there's a good deal of cuteness form Tails as well as scratch and Grounder. Really, my only beef with this is the anti-alcohol fearmongering presented in the Sonic Says Segment.
Til next time, be good people and stay cool! It's hot outside.....

Same anon here, what if when Ork-0 called won the power he became Roboto?
That's wild!
There are some wild implications here that I think I might be too tired to completely unpack right now. But I feel like this idea could turn into a very interesting examination of how we interpret "power" and "heroism".
In previous iterations of the franchise, Orko and Roboto are two very distinct and separate character that have very little association. Orko is a displaced wizard from another dimension that appears to be under the mentorship of Man-at-Arms, while Roboto is an android and a heroic warrior/Master of the Universe who was built by Man-at-Arms. Orko's and Roboto's only connection is through Man-at-Arms.
Which I get it probably the basis for why you want Orko to turn into Roboto as his "henshin".
Like I said, I'm tired and my thoughts are a little messy and disjointed, so I apologize if this doesn't make sense.
But, Roboto has the same general body-type as He-Man. A tall humanoid with wide torso shaped like human body-builder muscles. While Orko (and by extension Ork-0) is small. With a short body and thin limbs. He does not fit the traditional image of a "powerful hero".
Some time when I'm not so tired, I'd like to examine why Ork-0's Master transformation would change him into what humans would consider "heroic" and not what Trollans or other robots might consider "heroic".
@relatable-pictures-of-orko @cricktoon @zootycutie (and any other Orko blogs that I'm forgetting), please, share your thought!

"Mini Strawberry Milkshake + Timelapse"
I wanted to test the timelapse feature in CSP, and I guess Malt Shop 1010 is just my go-to thing to draw nowadays.
Anyway, it's a pretty neat feature, but it does create evidence of just how much time I spend just going back over the same lines over and over X_X.
