being single after a year and some time felt....strange.

a part of sohee felt like she was missing a part of her routine: one that she didn’t voluntarily change herself. though she knows the breakup between her and kyun was something they ultimately needed to do. she wasn’t ready. she was insecure. she was projecting too much out of paranoia.

she needed to do some major growing up.

but she can’t help but feel a tiny bit listless in the dorms. even now. she would usually leave the dorms with the excuse of “seeing friends” (when she was actually seeing him) but now she doesn’t really go out as much as she used to. she’s not squeezing in weekends with her beau. she’s around a lot more, particularly in her room or on the couch curled up with a book because she has no other idea of how to refocus her time.

her life has felt like it’s become a whirlwind of events lately and she was just trying to find stable ground. sohee sighed for the umpteenth time in the last five minutes. was she really working on herself if all she was doing was moping at the dorms when they got home? what self improvement could she hope to achieve? all she was doing was barely keeping it together. barely.

sohee threw her phone to the other side of the couch and got up. she threw the blanket back onto the couch. staying there and sighing was going to drive herself crazy. she needed something to do. something to fill up all this space she had. there was too much opportunity for her to sigh and to groan and to curl up in a sad blanket burrito. she needed someone to occupy the space and occupy her thoughts so she didn’t go bat shit.

“is anyone home?” she called, moving towards the kitchen. “i’ll cook lunch! my treat....” she just hoped someone was home right now with her. hopefully not paying attention to her mopey attitude but willing to eat some lunch. “i’ll make anything you want~”

Pulling double duty like this was rather tiring, more so than Sejeong had thought it would be when she signed up for the role.  She really hadn’t counted on them preparing another comeback so quickly so to be told that she’d need to work on that while shooting her drama had come as a surprise, but she knew she’d have to make the best of her time, often foregoing sleep so she could practice.

Today was one of the lucky days where she was only needed on set for part of the day, so she was able to meet up with the other girls and join them in practicing.  Seeing everything that they had learned already made her feel a bit lost, especially with the dance choreography.  Seeing an opportunity, she turned to Joy for some assistance.  “You know I’m bad at this normally, but only being here half the time, I think I’m even worse, if possible.  Is this part like this?”  she attempted to do the part they were learning “Or like this?” she does it again, neither one quite right.

it’s the second episode of the show, and already chanyeol has become comfortable with his position, and with much of the staff. that’s nothing new, he supposes, not when he’s always been quick to try and make friends with everyone, and all the staff must be used to people like him, energetic, talkative, over the top. they have to be in this industry, right? he still feels like he could be a little closer with his co-emcees, but there isn’t any bad blood at all between them, so that’s a win in his book, and becoming closer will come with time, he’s sure of it. they only meet once a week to film the episodes, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen, especially when he’s determined it will!

he’s actually ecstatic that the second week’s guests are coming from his company. they’ve only filmed the introductions so far, but it’s already gone well, with him talking up the girls as if they’re the best artists in the entire universe, which, they are, and egging on the competition between them and the other two hosts. they have a short break between this and the next segment while the staff sets up, giving him time to speak with joy, who he feels he hasn’t had a good chance to meet with since she debuted.

he approaches her while she’s supposed to be getting touched up by the makeup artists, and while she’s distracted, he silently takes a cushion concealer from one of the assistants and stands off to the side, reaching out to pat at her cheeks without actually touching her cheeks, pretending to be one of the staff until she notices him---at least, that was the plan until he accidentally did pat her cheek. “whoops!”

at least it isn’t noticeable...

“i am impressed no one has broken their pair of heels yet.“ hyuna mutters as she takes a seat next to joy. in all honesty, she’s had her fair share of well... broken heeled shoes stories before, but damn.. the ones trc had found were sturdy, or made of actual titanium. she was yet to find out. with a sigh she slumps ever so slightly in her chairs. it’s been quite a few hours now, and to the rapper’s surprise, she wasn’t as tired as she probably looked. a bit sweaty, sure, but there was always a member of staff running around with powder in her hands, making sure their make up stayed in place.

“i’m actually really excited to see the end result, or even get on stage.. i’m probably too excited.“ hyuna says with a laugh and straightens up in her chair. maybe she was thinking too much into the future. trc was yet to give her a contract, yet to announce her. she heard from some of her friends there were netizen’s articles about her, but the rapper was never the type to look for those stuff. at least now she could tell her friends where the fuck she had gone missing.

Kil looks stunning in photos even Taeyeon said this before on her streams when she talking about K.arma but in person, she is very breathtaking and very cool too. The recordings went smoothly as they do fill with the usual chaos during a little break not long after the two teams were given the word missions & action mission Taeyeon took an opportunity to befriend Joy, “How is not touching your hair going, Rwa?” she said keeping sure that kept in the habit saying rwa or she will probably forget when filming starts again then the team would lose. Taeyeon can not handle another loss in this silly little game she already looks like a fool at least it’s cute looking fool that’s what she keeps telling herself every day and prepares for the jokes from her friends who watch the IQs show every Wednesday like she told them to.

AU -  Verse, TW: Death

Every night it’s the same thing.  She waits and waits, then waits some more.  Seulgi waits and Sooyoung, her Joy, never does come through that front door.  She waits and waits, but she remains missing the one she loves.  She wanders the house, going from room to room, upstairs and downstairs.  She looks out the window, hoping to catch a glimpse of her yet again, but she can’t.  No matter how much she hopes to see Sooyoung again, she can’t. 

She hears the door open and she moves to the top of the stairs and looks down.  Oh.  It’s just those strangers again.  She doesn’t know how or why they keep on getting inside her and Joy’s home.  She yells at them, she throws things, but they won’t leave.  She even called the cops, but they must be in on it, because they came, the strangers let them in, and they wouldn’t even pay attention to Seulgi when she tried to explain why she called.

These people, they had changed things in the home too.  The furniture, for example, a new couch and chair set, a new tv, they even replaced the bed.  How dare they?  That was where she and Sooyoung used to sleep before Sooyoung had left that day.  The weirdest thing though was something small, something she wouldn’t have noticed if she hadn’t been looking for things to develop a case against these individuals when she eventually called her lawyer.

It was a calendar.  For some strange reason, they had made up some fake calendar that said the year was 2019.  There was no way it had been thirty years since Sooyoung had walked out that door.  There was no way she had been there for thirty years, waiting for someone who wasn’t coming back.

The thing was, she didn’t know the truth.  Sooyoung did leave.  She couldn’t stand being in that house anymore.  Not after that burglar had come in and shot the love of her life at the top of the stairs. 

Seulgi had been waiting for her to come home that night.  And every night ever since.

The event will last for about one hour. With a limited 50 audience member capacity, those who would like to attend the showcase must arrive promptly at Ilchi Art Hall by 12:30PM. The gates will officially open at that time and will close before the show begins at 3PM. Latecomers will not be allowed entry, with or without a ticket.

Tickets can only be obtained via an online lottery system. Fans can sign up for this opportunity using their fancafe username on TRC’s official website starting today until tomorrow, September 2nd, at 9pm. Selling these tickets is prohibited, and you must prove your identity at the entrance.

“idol cafe,” sohee said with a hum. she wasn’t sure what she was expecting. maybe sohee was a little too literal an expected it to be filmed inside a cafe. (how silly) but the idea is endearing. it’s her fault for never watching an episode prior to their scheduling. she had no idea what to expect. sohee wonders out loud, “are we going to get coffee?” because wouldn’t getting a fresh cup of coffee for a recording be amazing?

the little cup of coffee graphic that rested above the seats that they’ll be occupying led sohee to believe that they will at least be given drinks. what’s an idol cafe without any of the cafe. though sohee would never make a demand to have a drink if they weren’t going to do so. though she’d love a freshly brewed cup of joe. it’s been a long day. it would be a quick perk-up for her.

the vocalist hums, letting her mind wander. “you know what would be good right about now?” sohee asked although it was mostly a rhetorical question. “a hazelnut iced coffee! that would be absolutely perfect.” she turns to joy with a smile. “it’s been a while since i had coffee. maybe i shouldn’t be given a caffeine, rush, hm?”

finding the new idol is going to be harder than she thought in the halls of trc.  jei’s not quite sure what she expected, considering her own schedule is harsh  -  surely a new idol would be even harder to track down.  at the very least though, she has an idea of who she’s looking for because yien made the request rather clear.  jei just has to get a signed photocard of this girl he’s clearly obsessed with and then get it to him somehow so that he’ll keep his mouth shut when it comes to her trainee status to hyun.  it’s really the only reason why she’s actually giving in to his whims in the first place.

it’s true though, that things  (  and sometimes people  )  are easier to find when you’re not looking for them at all.  kil  -  or joy, whatever her name is  -  casually stands nearby when they’re both doing nothing at all, and jei figures that it’s perhaps the best chance she has.  so she approaches, tucking her hair back behind her ear and hopes this situation won’t be too awkward for either of them.  “ excuse me .. kil sunbae?” she says in a dull tone, ready to whip out her phone at a moment’s notice just in case the idol doesn’t believe her.  “ if you’ve got some time, i have a favour to ask if you wouldn’t mind.”

back in the groove of things, vanessa feels more at ease during promotions than she does preparing for them. while there's a lot of work and expectations to be achieved the days leading up to it-- and just the same afterwards, she much prefers the reward of what comes with an album release.  it's the same as before, with the added notion of performing and being busy with schedules and spreading the k.arma agenda that vanessa is more than happy to spread around.

but now, it's lunch time, and she's hurrying to close her conversation with a stylist and move over to where all the food is pulled out. she’s mumbling food, food, food over and over as she stops near the rest of the girls. vanessa leans over, wrapping her arms loosely around the first girl she can touch -- joy, she notes as she peeks at her face to see, before her eyes are back on their chosen food. "ooh, what're we having?" she asks the younger curiously, carefully leaning her head against the other girl’s. she sniffs the air, making a long ooh~ leave her throat. “everything looks so good, i don’t think i even care at this point. it’s been so long since breakfast...”
