Happy birthday to the Polish Constitution of 3 May 1791, aka "if you're going to innovate democracy, go big or go home".
(Spoiler: they couldn't go home, since the 'go big' part was so naughty that mom, dad and dad put 'home' on the top shelf until the Polish people had sat in the corner for a while* and thought about what they'd done.)
