This Ring-billed Gull was found injured in a parking lot, suffering from a nasty puncture wound, and is currently recovering from the trauma. You may be wondering why this species is called “Ring-billed Gull” when this bird doesn’t have a ringed bill. The reason for this is because this little one is young and in his first winter coloration. It is only when Ring-billed Gulls are mature that they develop a dark ring around the center of their bills! If this bird is lucky, he could live to be at least 27 years old! swvawildlifecenter.org

Weird story on the news; think it may have been about the puppet.
Apparently there was an incident at a McDonalds where some weird speeding animal flew in and stole a piping hot burger off the grill and then sped out. No one could glimpse what it was.
A ring-billed gull may do this, but it would be easily recognizable and they don't speed.
Nope, I'm pretty sure that was my creation.
Wondering whether to go to said McDonalds to try and find him, but he's probably long gone by now.
