Ah o amor

Agora que aceitei o fato que amo LP, é como se uma parte de mim estivesse aliviada de lutar contra isso, para que sofrer a toa? Mesmo que LP não acredite em amor romântico. Meu amor é considerado romântico por ele, então resolvi pesquisar, mas o que diabos é considerado amor romântico. Minha pesquisa: wikipédia. Sim, uma piada. Mas se tem uma página no wikipédia sobre amor romântico, lerei.

Alguns analistas contemporâneos afirmam que as características mais marcantes desse tipo de amor são confirmadas e disseminadas por meio de histórias literárias, filmes, canções. É um tipo de afeto que, presumidamente, tem que ser para toda a vida (sempre te amarei), exclusivo (não poderei amar ninguém além de você), incondicional (te amarei aconteça o que acontecer) e implica um alto grau de resignação (eu te amo mais do que minha vida).

Afeto para toda vida, exclusivo, incondicional com alto grau de resignação.

Péssima explicação, porque o que eu sinto pelo LP não é isso, está bem longe disso. Mas ainda assim é romântico. Porque eu sou uma pessoa romântica. Eu sou libriana pô. E isso também não significa nada para ele.

O amo

Tentar compreender e encaixar esse sentimento novo como amor romântico tá meio difícil depois dessa definição exarcebada e monogâmica ao extremo.

Não o amo mais do que me amo, não o amo para toda minha vida, porque quando LP for embora, nosso relacionamento acaba, ele sempre foi finito, exclusivo também não é porque estou aberta a novos amores, mas tipo, por enquanto só tem ele que amo. Só ele me cativou ao ponto de eu falar o meu primeiro “eu te amo”. A parte do incondicional que é amar não importa o que aconteça, talvez seja um pouco, LP tem cara que nunca faria algo que me decepcionaria, ele é o homem mais sensato que já conheci.

Talvez o único decente no meio de tanta tralha.

Não vou gastar esse capítulo inteiro debatendo amor romântico, porque tenho uma vida para viver e fofocas para contar.

Ontem (30) tive um encontro com um cara chamado IS. Ficha técnica: IS, pisciano, 32 anos, tem uma startup, nômade, não-mono. Cara de bobão, corpo gostoso, alto, 1,80.

Ele havia me chamado para ir na CASACOR, tomar um vinho na VINA, fomos.

Demos uma olhada na exposição que tava tendo, definição: casa de gente rica zero funcional. O que importa é o impacto da beleza, não a funcionalidade do espaço. Era bonito. Não era funcional. Cheio de floreios. Uma vitrine apenas, ninguém moraria ali. Talvez ricos. Sempre os ricos.

Fomos ver o que comer, o preço dos pratos caríssimos, estávamos rodeado de pessoas que se vestiam bem, RICAS, não sei se realmente ricas, mas se passavam muito bem por gente que nunca teve que se preocupar com o pão do dia seguinte.

Eu aqui julgando sendo que faço parte da mesma farinha. Talvez um pouco menos, mas ainda sim com os mesmos privilégios.

Esse é o mundo da arquitetura que foi o principal motivo de eu pular fora. O mercado de trabalho. As pessoas elitistas. Ricos. Eu não queria lidar com gente que tenha dinheiro e possa se sentir superior só por ter dinheiro.

Trocamos ideia, IS é um cara legal, desistimos de comer lá, então fomos para uma churrascaria hahaha não gastando com pratos caros e nos empanturramos de comida. Ele pagou tudo, gosto dessa gentileza.

Fomos para a casa que ele está hospedado, ele não é daqui, eu e esse meu costume de sempre me interessar por pessoas passageiras. Não faz mais sentido eu falar que é meu medo de ter uma relação, temos LP ai para provar ao contrário. Embora ele também seja passageiro, mas é uma passagem mais longa e duradoura do que simplesmente uma noite e próximo.

Então não é medo de relacionamento que consolida esse meu costume de sempre sair com pessoas que estão de passagem pela cidade.

Mas existe algo na simplicidade disso.

Um pequeno recorte que fez esse encontro antes meio chato se tornar interessante. Uma simples pergunta: se você pudesse jantar com qualquer pessoa do mundo, viva ou morta, quem você escolheria? Ele citou um técnico de futebol e o Allan Turing. Eu falei o escritor do pequeno príncipe. Ele perguntou que tipo de conversa eu teria, se o essencial era mesmo invisível aos olhos? Respondi que era sobre: como ser um não monogâmico no meio de uma guerra.

A partir daí, tudo se abriu. Tudo ficou mais interessante. Antes havia uma espécie de bloqueio entre nós. Algo escondido que não foi contado.

Algo que bloqueava nossa conexão.

Ele tinha um relacionamento não mono.

E pronto, agora o assunto eram nossos relacionamentos não mono. A experiência.

Me sinto estranha toda vez que falo que estou em um relacionamento não-monogâmico, é porque não existe nada oficializado, todos os relacionamentos não-mono simplesmente surgem do nada e se tornam um relacionamento sem nenhuma oficialização? Talvez sim, porque LP namorou por 9 anos sem um pedido de namoro.

Eu percebi que não busco uma validação do relacionamento com o LP, percebi que eu queria uma oficialização, uma espécie de aval para poder falar que estou em um relacionamento não-mono. Tipo uma autorização. Besteira né. Bobagem.

Mas clandestinamente falo que estou em uma relação, não sei como relações funcionam geralmente, nunca estive em uma. A estranheza vem do tipo eu falar que estou em um relacionamento não-mono sem o consentimento do LP. Não vou conseguir explicar essa nuance. Mas é tipo, essa relação é tão importante na minha vida que eu nem consigo me considerar solteira. Mas ao mesmo tempo, LP não é meu namorado. Esse termo só se aplica a monogâmicos. Chamei ele de afeto para IS, não gostei do termo. Pensei em vínculo. Também não gostei, esses termos desconstruídos não me servem.

Como intitular uma relação que não pode ser intitulada como relação? Mais fácil largar mão desses rótulos, vai me remoer a toa. Temos o que temos, não importa o que somos.

Fico me remoendo por coisa boba. Deve ser o fato dessa relação significar muita coisa na minha vida e eu não poder expor a sua existência, por achar que preciso oficializar essa relação para de fato falar que estou em uma relação.

Esse tô ou não tô em um relacionamento tem uma angústia, minha vontade de querer levar o LP no casamento da minha irmã, porém eu não sou uma mera convidada, eu sou a madrinha e irmã da noiva. Aí está a questão. Na verdade nem verifiquei a agenda do LP, vai ver ele nem pode ir e estou aqui pensando a toa.

Mas será que essa questão é porque eu não quero parecer uma solteirona para toda família enquanto minha irmã mais nova se casa? Acho que não. Eu nunca me importei com isso, sempre fui alguém que tem orgulho de ser solteira. Sempre escancarei para todos que nunca namoraria na vida, não posso aparecer com um homem como companhia. É o casamento da minha irmã. Isso também implicaria de estabelecer a importância que LP tem na minha vida e comunicar a minha família.

Por isso é tão mais fácil não assumir a existência dele. Embora ele exista, minha família já viu ele.

Não posso tomar esse passo, não posso expor ele como um relacionamento não-monogâmico que estou tendo.

Minha família não entenderia. Mas eles já não entendem nada que vem de mim mesmo.

Estou me corroendo, porque não quero mais esconder LP, mas não tenho coragem de afirmar esse relacionamento e me estabelecer como não-monogâmica. LP também nem se assumiu não-monogâmico para os pais dele. Eu nem me assumi bissexual para a minha família…

Talvez eu esteja refletindo demais, talvez meus pais sejam mais de boa do que eu pense que eles sejam, eu tenho 28 anos, eles não vão me impedir de nada. Assim como não impediram o relacionamento da minha irmã quando ela tinha 16 anos.

Eu só estou com medo de ultrapassar uma barreira que eu mesmo impus a mim.

O relacionamento com LP é passageiro, mas se eu chamar ele pro casamento da minha irmã, ele estará eternizado em alguma foto.

Hi dear followers and mutuals, today (hopefully still where you are - whoops) is #settlersaturday and I felt inspired to officially make a post linking to some of my very favorite Indigenous artists, designers, and jewelry makers, plus add a little personal commentary so y’all might be more inclined to check them and their stuff out if it appeals to you. :)

Note: I am even sharing this list under extremely good faith. Time and time again I hear/read - from far too many Native people - that racist people have commented on their posts or DMed them completely insulting, ignorant bullshit that ranges from bigotry to actual intended harm (and I am DISGUSTED AND HORRIFIED by ANYONE who dares to do such a thing. How SHAMEFUL. Although, to be fair, all acts of bigotry are shameful, and that cannot be overstated. DO NOT BE ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE.) If you are interested in these artists’ art, let alone if you are reading this, I HAVE to say: under no circumstances are you suggested to harass anybody here, for whatever reason, be it due to: racism, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, or fatphobia. (And if you’re a vegan who takes offense to Indigenous people using animal hide for their jewelry, you coming onto their posts or into their DMs to “shame” them for it counts as fucking racism, so DO NOT FUCKING DO THAT EITHER. If you must be a vegan or vegetarian, DON’T BE AN UGLY RACIST.) If I find out you contacted any of these artists with malicious intentions, I will make sure to personally compensate these artists for any grief they may receive. Like imagine that situation where some asshole was yelling at a teenage cashier for not making their food right, and every time the cashier was insulted, the person in line behind them put money in the cashier’s tip jar. I would be the person in line behind you tipping them for your fucking nonsense. Do not test me. Just do not be an ugly bigot, thank you.

Her art is GORGEOUS (I’m gonna need a calla lily print ASAP!!) and her jewelry, especially when made with beautiful gradients, is so so lovely. A lot of her jewelry is made with resin, too, with beautiful little elements of nature embedded within (like she uses flower petals and seeds from her garden in them! BEYOND LOVELY AND WHAT WHOLESOME VIBES).

@/nimii_tli_eva on IG aka Eva Angus (Nimiipuu, Cayuse, Łingit, Haida, and Pamunkey); jewelry maker and beader. She seems to be a super well-known Indigenous jewelry maker as far as I’ve noticed, because, like, just a little while ago I saw Katherine Paul (aka Black Belt Eagle Scout) show off a pair of her earrings and I was like !!!! holy shit! She (Eva Angus) makes a TON of daisy chain beaded earrings with dentalium shells, but I prefer her beaded fringe earrings, personally (and would love to buy a pair some day).

@/beksbeads aka Rebekah (Nêhiyaw and Métis); jewelry maker and beader. She makes a lot of small (in terms of dangly earrings) beaded earrings with floral motifs that are cute, but I prefer her fringe earrings with beautiful gradients (and I long to be quick enough one day to get a pair).

@/oyosowsbeads aka Brianna Cervantes (Chumash); artist, jewelry maker and beader. Most of her earrings are beaded hoops, which are really cool, but they also recently made a beaded ring and bracelet and I am so 👀 if they ever make more and make them available to purchase. (I don’t even wear rings that often and I never wear bracelets but a beaded ring would be SO COOL.)

They’re one of my absolute favorite Indigenous artists and I just really appreciate them. Most of the jewelry and other art is made by Oaxacan artisans on behalf of Black and Indigenous-led mutual aid projects and conservation/sustainability projects, many of which are in Mexico. Chris:Chris has known where he’s going to be laid to rest for a long time. There’s this hill on the ranch property that they occasionally rent out for weddings, and he can see the stars from under an oak tree. Whether or not his life partner(s) want to join him there is their choice, but it’s where he’ll be.

One:For all the badassery and “BME” (“Big Mommy Energy,” which the bridge crew assures her is a complement and about lesbianism, not motherhood), One is a deeply insecure person. She craves validation and fears rejection in equal measure, usually with her pride deeply on the line. Nowhere was that more clear than in what became the Vina Incident- while perched on Chris’s desk and engaging in generally unbecoming behavior, he happened to say the name of someone who was not her. One fled. The incident was a pressure cooker of all her worst fears about their relationship- that he preferred blondes, that she was too cold, possibly not young enough… it was a natural disaster. Chris slept in his office for a month and a half.

Gabriel:I have no sads for Mirror Lorca.

Joann:The Luddite colony where Joann grew up was extremely conservative. Throughout her childhood, she had never particularly entertained thoughts of leaving, but it was only when her parents caught her kissing another girl out in the woods that she realized it was time to go. Her family cut ties with her the minute she left, and though she talks a big game about going home on shore leave, it won’t be back to the colony.

Airiam:Her entire life, need I say any more?

Nilsson:She and Airiam never got along. They’re half-sisters, actually- her dad had an affair with his secretary, such a cliche, from which Airiam was born. Nilsson’s mother found out and left, and Nilsson was just old enough to be resentful of her dad’s new daughter. When they had the misfortune of being assigned together, they both made sure to take opposite shifts.

Hugh:Hugh is body-conscious. This has no tragic backstory, nor any particular rhyme or reason beyond ‘he’s from Puerto Rico and he gets cold,’ but it’s often awkward when somebody asks him to take off his shirt in one context or another.
