What we know about the events of respawnstuck aka carcinoarmageddon
eight years ago, the beta kids and trolls beat the game, and landed in 'victory village' on 'earth-ternia', which was sburb's interpretation of karkat's wish for things to "go back to normal".
victory village is mostly deserted, and has been described as feeling like a half-loaded video game level. the players can't leave the village, but there is a population outside (humans, trolls, and carapacians), who revere the players as gods and keep sending fanmail, which karkat burns. some of the carapacians we're familiar with are also in the village, though they seem able to come and go, they didn't arrive with the players, and they have no memory of the players.
we have a map of "walking distance of the carcinoArmageddon apartment" (unclear whether or not this is the entirety of victory village). sollux and karkat live in an apartment in the dark blue building. rose and dave live in the ikea. nepeta and equius live in the factory, which i think on the map is the big brick-colored building across from the 'boutique' and the ymca. gamzee lives in the 'shanky shack', which i think is the tan building with a path to the lighthouse. eridan appears to live in the lighthouse, and feferi appears to live underwater.
immediately after they arrived, sollux killed vriska. karkat was extremely upset about this, and made them promise there'd be no more killing. but a year later, on the next 4/13, vriska respawned, and it seems like either sollux or terezi killed her again.
tavros found out about the respawns "by accident" and was badly hurt by vriska, whereupon terezi instructed equius to treat tavros using vriska's prosthetics. at some point tavros took over killing vriska, although he didn't manage to kill her last year.
john has been helping vriska hide, and vriska implies that this has happened more than once, while tavros implies it's happened only the once (both of them have abundant motivation to be misleading the viewer). terezi and sollux don't know where john is, though it's unclear how long he's been missing for, since he appears in other recent flashbacks/group scenes (or even that he's really 'missing' as opposed to 'avoiding the group involved in killing vriska')
dave has also died and respawned. this did not immediately tip off karkat because there are multiple daves running around at any given time, so he assumed it wasn't alpha dave who was killed.
sollux states that the only ones who know about vriska respawning are himself, terezi, and tavros. this isn't remotely true. firstly, he forgot equius (he amended the post to add equius later). secondly, aradia clearly knows. there's also vriska herself, though admittedly that probably goes without saying. john knows, too, though (and is actively helping vriska), and i think sollux might not be aware of this. i think the others probably have more of a suspicion than sollux realizes, too. for example, dave has probably put two and two together.
