Imagine: Dan Feng gave Blade the lily Hairpin to hold up his hair and putting his hair up the same with pin triggers blade.
Hence why he wears the healer set but not the pin.
“The pin, you can keep it as reminder of me?” The water ripple to reflect two figure by the lily pond. When his hair was white, and a lily pin was placed in it to keep his hair out of his eye when forging.
“Flowers suit you more” He harrumphed as he twisted the delicate piece the crafted lily petals caching the light in his hands. It tinged and sang in his hands as parts clicked against each other.
“It could, soften your image maybe more people would approach you” teased the Soft smoothly melodic calm voice from his memories. The robed figure behind him under the pagod of the waterlily gardens in the Xianzhou.
“Or remind them of my fleeting lifespan” he huffed grumpily. What use did blacksmith have of a hair ornament nonetheless he tried clumsiy to gather his hair to the soft laugh of his cmpain

Now spiderlily blooms and is replaced the white with red and the madness raises its ugly head again.

Why did Jing Liu think this was a good idea
The way Blade's looking at Dan Heng and also his bombastic side eye
On the other hand their backstories are so sad, I don't really ship RenHeng but I do ship RenFeng
It's super sad that Blade can't move on from Dan Feng and wants closure and keeps seeing him in Dan Heng, when they're different people and Dan Feng will never come back
And sad that Dan Heng probably can't ever live on the Luofu because people will only see Dan Feng
Although tbh Dan Feng's kinda like an overbearing father who's like "you WILL go to law school or I will disown you" to Dan Heng in that one animation on the HSR channel 💀
On the other hand I saw someone say about the High Cloud Quintet that they all were like "let's all have white hair and not tell Dan Feng"

Being on the renheng/renfeng train for me is so weird and even now I’m still not sure how I sit in regards to the lore as it is rn (especially coming from a game like D2 where resurrection without memories of the past life, responsibility for crimes, burying your loved ones since you outlive them, etc is absolutely a thing that’s explored).
Like culturally I don’t believe vidyadhara can sustain itself without the understanding that you are not who you were. They live forever! They’re a finite population! They do not reproduce, if one dies that’s it! But they also have things like hatching rebirth where they become a new person more or less with no memories of their previous identity (with some exceptions).
Their avg lifespan is 700 years but there’s a whole thing with an npc who molts every few months instead bc she suffers from rapid growth. She forgets who she is every time! What do you do with that?
There’s another npc who clocks the same xianzhou woman every lifetime for 4 lifetimes (up to 2800 years if we go by max). Because she never dies she is 100% aware of who he is and just chooses not to tell him until the MC gets involved this time around. Each time he has no idea he’s going after the same person and is intensely jealous of his previous persona. What do you do with that?
We have our disaster couple here where the conflict right now is bc of previous aggressions. Like what do I do with this? I haven’t been this invested in anything in a long while

Renfeng Baby Reaction Drabbles: The Eyes Don’t Lie
Starring: Star Rail trailblazers March, Dan Heng & MC! Stelle
“You know her eyes kinda look familiar like fire. OMG Dan Heng of you think the reason blade is after you is to pay child support?! “March asked excitedly having cracked the case that was her tight-lipped draconic friend.
“March not now. I will jump off this ship into space if that is the case” Dan Heng in deep denial deadpanned.
“Do you think that means we can pawn her off to Stelleron hunters?” Stelle questioned out loud then muttered “I’d trade her for mommy kafka”
But was drowned out by the crews united protests “Why would we give a kid to criminals?!”
“She may have a longer lifespan that way…” commented Pon Pon quietly eyeing both March and Stelle warily having seen what they did to get his attention. For example, breaking a cup or pick a leaf off his plants. He hoped they wouldn’t try anything too surprising with the baby….
“Good thing she is a vidyhayrda or else how would she survive with us? What a convenient restart button” plainly stated Stelle to the horror of them all as she played her game blithely ignoring the looks.
AKA the real reason a baby had to be Vidahydra with the star rail crew

2: Dan Heng Digging himself out of Denial
“ She’s dead ringer for you and a cutie to boot” cried March as she shoved the baby in Dan Heng face forcing him to look at the baby that looked like him .
“She sort of looks like me” Dan Heng begrudging admitted noticing the teal horns, tail and dark hair only for Baby! Reader to throw up on him from the force of March wagging said baby in front of his face.
After this incident he goes back to denial saying, “Nope no way is she related to me.”
“I feel bad but as the same time you sort of deserves that for abandoning her~” teased March thinking back to the letters.
“I didn’t even know she existed!” Protested Dan Heng in defense.

“*Cough* So like the Wizard of Oz, Baby!Reader helps March the scarecrow gain brains, Dan Heng the cowardly lion gives him some courage, and Stelle the tin man get a heart” Welt restates.
“Well I wouldn’t go that far but it might help? It cannot be worse than this chaos I think?” Himeko said primly sipping he tea from a shaking cup.
“Himeko your hands are shaking too much from just coffee and I’m stuck in black hole of thinking of all the ways kids can perish in this space universe plus looking forward to the only 2 hours of sleep we’re going to have to subsist on” Welt somberly reiterated the reality of the situation.

Funny enough, I realized a baby might have better odds of survival with the Stelleron hunters because most of them are all adults and seem more responsible & serious.

Dan Heng holding the child on the hip “Shouldn’t I be saying that since I’m the one taking care of the baby right now if anything it’s your turn!”
Then shoving said kid into Blades hands which lead us to next chapter Stelleron hunter reactions with the RenFeng baby
In my head, the star rail crew would really care for kid, but that care may be detrimental to said kid …. while the Stelleron hunters would try not to care but do a decent job.
