my prediction for Venom 3 (based)

this is by no means trying to be a rant post but i just needed a different perspective on this issue so to speak. i got into an “argument” (one sided tbh LOL) with an ashleon shipper (which…. is whatever… ig…) and they were saying that ashleon is canon in re4 remake and i was like how ???? they were completely mischaracterizing aeon too. so im just really confused bc before i became a hardcore re fan and was an outsider so to speak, i just assumed that leon and ada were an “item” bc thats how they have always been portrayed. and then i go on here and retwt (eww) and ppl do not think that AT ALL. ppl think ur crazy for thinking aeon is a canon thing. i just feel like im missing a puzzle piece all the time bc its like … i thought it was pretty obvious? and its so hard to hear the other side on these conversations bc they are so rude and judgmental and dont want to have a civil conversation and hear the other side. so i just wanted to get ur perspective on this issue and why ppl might not automatically think aeon is a thing bc i really like ur takes on aeon as a whole! this also isnt trying to be negative or a shitpost, i just want to hear a different positive and ig “constructive” perspective on this!

yeah i dunno tbh, there's a few very loud ashleon shippers that are claiming that it's canon but i don't know what kind of like cognitive dissonance you gotta be suffering from to think it's canon. i half the time think they're doing it to purposely piss off other shippers so i just don't engage with them lmao

i think that out of all the ships in re, other than like ethan and mia- aeon was the only other one pushed to be canon. i'd argue that chris and jill are barely even romantic (even though i don't care for the ship, i know lots of people ship valenfield) (im more of a clairejill or jill carlos fan meself) (reminder again ship whoEVER YOU WANT IDGAF SKDFBSK)

typically when it comes to promos and stuff, aeon tends to be pushed together though (like from capcom) so that's always been kinda cute and nice. (i love seeing all the teppen art of aeon, and random capcom promos of aeon together)

i just feel like because the ship is "not conventional" it gets a lot of backlash, particularly because the female character doesn't adhere to social norms and gender roles. and typically because aeon falls into this category, people are quick to tear down ada because of it

it's just the same shit lol. i just choose not to engage with it cause i got better shit to do with my time

i'm not the one going into blogs to scream about how i don't like the ship that they're posting and talking about

ok i have to follow up on the nuca dmmd thing. garu and olivine aside, the moaning is like SO much better. honestly g and o moan like aoba at times, which is to say, choppy and kinda like youre squeezing it out of a small bird with your hand. the rest of the guys though its like. so solid. breathy and fluent and sensua. like im replaying dmmd rn and i cant stop thinking like man i wish they did this like the nuca cast. not to say dmmd doesnt have good moans but some parts. man

oh also the art i guess lol. no fr man imagine those fancy 3d moving sprites for dmmd, and god, moving cgs. not to mention the way better and more appealing way the nuca boys have sex compared to dmmd. jjust. so many things i swear its not only the horny stuff its just the only tihng coming to mind rn fobsiofbo

honestly i just really want a dmmd remake or sequel or something. nuca is good apart from the p2w crap but all the characters that remind me of dmmd stuff just make me wish for dmmd instead

Agreed that Nu Carnival’s graphics are better and a dmmd sequel or remake would be rad. But there’s nostalgia with the original game. Nu Carnival is honestly great by itself (aside from the p2w of course). I do see lots of dmmd players who are now playing Nu Carnival and it’s interesting to see everyone’s thoughts.

The va in Nu Carnival is great don’t get me wrong. I guess I’m just partial to dmmd. Aoba’s moans can be a bit exaggerated at times but I still stan him as porn star moan king. And I’m a sucker for Noiz’s va. Like yes I’ll take a heaping serving of that German sausage thank you.

I guess dmmd just has that comfort nostalgia factor to it, for me anyway. I’m having a blast playing Nu Carnival and yeah some of the characters do remind me of dmmd (*cough* Blade *cough*) but they’re also pretty original. I love the different personalities and Eiden is a great mc. We love a self proclaimed ho. Nu Carnival is also spoiling us with uncensored dick lol

Is dmmd tacky? Yes. Do I still cringe when it is mentioned in the public sphere? Yes. Will I go the rest of my days trying to convince people my hair is blue just cos I like like the color? Yes.

At the end of the day, they’re both media by talented artists, voice actors, developers, etc. So I’ll still be grinding on Nu Carnival and if dmmd gets new content I will also be there. 💙

major re8 village spoilers under cut

!!MAJOR RE8 VILLAGE SPOILERS!!

i finished the game and i.......was not expecting to get assaulted with feels

my boy......my boy ethan....... :(((((( we’ve been thru so much since re7 and it all ends like this?!?!?! god im like kind of pissed... there was obviously something “unique” about him with how his body regenerated and limbs magically re-attaching but i feel like the whole “ur just mold” revelation felt kinda rushed? idk... ethan’s been thru some SHIT and he deserved better

and i know there’s the “remake” universe going on now, but there’s STILL not a mention of jill within “this” timeline if 7 and 8 are following the “original” timeline if, not lending itself to the remake’s universe???? like WHAT has my girl been up to since 5!!! shacking it up with carlos?

and based on how village ended, i get the feeling 9 will center around chris and rose now..... but chris has gotta be getting pretty old based on how rose looked? i hope we see other characters too!!

and idk how much i harp on about this, i will Forever be salty about jeff voicing chris in this because again every time the dude talked i just heard carlos, and when u play as chris i just imagined myself playing as carlos lmao because it reminded me of playing his part in 3 remake. idk i love jeff but capcom please do not have him voice chris permanently...... bring carlos back and have him reprise his role  also for how old chris is/looks now, jeff’s voice def seemed too young to fit him :\

also damn apparently according to the concept art, ada was almost in this game?? it wouldve been nice if there was some more connections to the other characters aside from just chris (aka one of the main re characters i care for the least.....) also!!! the concept art used her 2 remake model so.....maybe 7 and 8 ARE steadily becoming connected to the remake universe...? idk

um also this is not quite as important but lady dimitrescu was def not in the game enough :( her part of the game was def my favorite because it felt very classically like a resident evil game, if that makes sense? also uh she’s hot. beneviento’s part was my least because it fuckin scared the shit outta me lmao

idk the ending of 8 itself made me sad, but after replaying 3 remake there arent gonna be any re games left to play until 9 may come around years later :((( so i feel sad about that..... i’ll only have the infinite darkness show to look forward to resident evil-wise, cuz i watched all the animated movies already. and i got that multiplayer re-verse (?) game for free with 8 but i highly doubt i’ll play/enjoy that lol
