I'm 4-5 chapters from being done with the story I've been working on for ten years.

A mere 12k-15k words.

In sprints I usually write between 450-700 words in 15 minutes.

I am ~5 hours of work away from being done with Draft One of Tylvinian Tales.

I'm the kind of 'doesn't give a shit about nonrose relationships' person (bc I'm atertiary and repulsed by these relationships and have opted out of them!!) that allotertiary aspecs hate tbh... And I know they probably don't intend to be aphobic with this but it is literally aphobic towards atertiary people if you think not liking nonrose relationships is inherently evil.

You're allowed to be upset if people aren't valuing you in the nonrose ways you want them to, and you should ask them for what you want in your interactions(drops my 'communicate or break up' advice as an atertiary I guess) . But please don't malign people like me just bc we can't care about people in tertiary/nonrose ways, while you complain about this.

Just a reminder that, by the way, an allorose atertiary person or apl, afamilial, etc. person is just as aspec as you and belongs in the aspec community if they wish to. I'm just adding this because I see some of you acting like things like family or friendship are not seen as necessary and are not enforced as something everyone should have, even if in some places these may not be the most 'superior' relationship to society(reminder that some of us do live in places where friendship or family are seen as more required than romance though).

Even if larger society does not always conceptualise these as attraction, you cannot deny that people are expected to have meaningful interpersonal connections that are not romantic or sexual (see for example how people are expected to raise a family, have friends, etc.) . And besides, its not like people conceptualised of the concept of romantic attraction before the aspec community started talking about it. However, it is understood that romance was still expected of people back then. And its similar with nonrose / tertiary relationships and attractions.

Some exclusionists literally go out of their way to say that they think aros and aces are valid but think atertiary spectrum labels are bullshit. Don't think it benefits you to agree with them or to exclude atertiary people from the aspec community. Aspec includes atertiary and agender spectrums as well, not just aro and ace spectrums, so please actually meaningfully include us in aspec things.

Yeah. This is also why I feel disconnected from the label of relationship anarchy bc so much of it emphasizes that you have to care about family and friends and its like. no thanks I dont even WANT those relationships. People forget that relan is just not having a hierarchy based solely on societal ideals, and emphasizing consent and boundaries in relationships of any kind. It doesn't have to be "care a lot about friendships" bc ppl who dont have and/or want friends do exist!!

'Mo'

An OC For Relan

@caxycreations , here it is! You Tagged me for this one... so, so long ago, but I've finally come up with an OC for you Setting, if you may accept him.

His name is 'Mo', and 'Mo' is he, as far as anyone in knows. He's not easy to miss with his intensely brown eyes, tan fur, and unmistakably foreign speech and accent. Mo is a Palm Civet, which is all he's ever offered when it comes to his background. He's notably shorter than most in his new home, and apparently hasn't fully adjusted to its temperate climes from his tropical roots. Whoever he is, wherever he came from, Mo was brought to the big city more by his duties than anything else.

Mo is unmistakably a 'Gah-men'* man, an efficient public servant of mild mannerisms that bely a strictly opaque personality. His current station, running the house in the local community and government, seems remarkably humble in contrast to the grace with which Mo carries himself, but he seems content enough.

Not a shy man to those who deal with him with any regularity, Mo is absolutely a humble one. He prefers to act in the background, putting in twice as much work as anyone else and with encyclopaedic knowledge of every facet of his potential duties. Mo dresses for his duties, with an endless supply of white shirts, jackets, and waistcoats, all fairly conservative in colour and make. Over time, he's earned the distant respect of his colleagues, even if most see him as little more than a hard driving automaton.

Others, however, know better. His friends, the few of them he has, would attest to his quiet kindness and occasional generosity. In private, Mo has a tendency towards dramatics, particularly when the topic of conversation touches on politics, or references to his homeland, which he defends and demeans in equal measure. He is a teetotaller, but, unusually for his kind, turns down coffee and tea as well, and apparently has the sweet tooth of a juvenile. Mo enjoys what comforts he can get, and his bar for what counts as such isn't high; fresh pastry, a certain brand of soya milk, and his regular patronage of the local library suffices.

Who is Mo? No one can really say, and for now he's not keen to answer.

NOTICE OF CHARACTER DETAILS

All of my character details are based within the world of a story I am writing called “In the Wolf’s Den”, which is the first book in a series of books I intend to write.

Within this world, there are several deities, and the month you were born determines which deity will bless you, while the day determines the strength (with the strongest blessings being in the middle of each month) of the blessing given.

I will gladly answer any questions about the world I’ve created, and encourage them. I have so, so much on this world and very little ways to share it, so if you want to know ANYTHING, be it social dynamics, legal systems, history, geography, etc, by all means ask!

genius design idea: make sure your character always wears a hat, y’know, that thing that artists everywhere -yourself included- hate drawing? yeah do that.

i was entertaining the idea of my eso necromancer emil as a companion you could recruit.  you’d probably help him solve a murder mystery or ghost haunting or something.

Relan’s gone through a corruption arc since the beginning of the story. 

He’s gone from well-intentioned necromancer doctor to obsessed half-crazy necromancer scholar. I doubt he even remembers the one who he loved enough to send him on his journey.

which of your ocs is most like you and why? which of your ocs do you want to become like and why?

Uhhhhhh, this is a hard question. Each of my characters is like me in some way. If I had to pick one I think Relaner would probably be the one I am most like mostly because we're both super emotional (though I think I have a better time composing my anger). On the other hand maybe I'm more like Tad because he's given tons of responsibility and is expected to lead but doesn't think that he can. If I had to pick a character i want to become like I think I'd want to be like Cluinn. While she's incredibly skilled as a spy, I like how much she cares for other people to the point that she will betray her country just because they refuse to do anything for people she's come to care about. She understands that just because somone is not on your side doesn't mean that they are not any less human than she is.

I still don't have a concrete design for this jerk, but I'll get there. Anyways, this is Relan, the aforementioned light god that Rune and her allies are determined to put a stop to before he can kill all dragons and blind the world. He's conceited, ill-mannered, and an overall vile being who will throw a fit if he doesn't get what he wants.
